Not true. It's never been a better time to buy. I brought a property 3yrs ago today and it has nearly doubled in value. I get offers consistently and it's not even on the market. I also own an abnb with a 90% occupancy rate.
hey Rob, i saw an interview you did with a guy who was denied entrance to Colombia in Medellin because according to the immigration official, she did not believe he was really there for the itinerary he gave. Have you heard of this happening to others? Was he randomly selected, or are they asking all tourist for an itinerary now? I usually fly into Bogota, and i have never been asked for my itinerary, and good thing, because i fly by the seat of my pants. If they are checking everyone now, is this just medellin, or Colombia in general? i haven't been in 8 mos and i'm planning a trip soon, and hoping to fly into Rio Negro this time, but not if i have to go through all that.
I think this was just the unluck of the draw. Profiles are at every airport, I believe. I think they're just being more picky now with the mayor pushing it
Horrendous atrocities happen in this place all the time. You get on the social networks Instagram and people laugh at the misfortunes that happen to tourists. Keep behaving like this, the only thing you are doing is being the biggest shame on the planet, but light years away, the worst thing is that place is garbage, don't go there. sorry for that but is reality
If Colombia didn't ruin the residency visa for aomeo who buys a property i would definitely buy a house there. How do you buy a house where they only give yoh a one year visa not knowing if each and every year it will be approved never obtaining residency is a tough place to invest. Im convinced the Colombian government dislikes foreigners or else they would be more welcoming especially to investors
buying a house on the visa is risky because you never know what the future brings and laws can easily change 😂Also poor countries must protect from buying out land etc. by foreigners because prices will go up equally to the USA
@@hammertyme8392 the days of five year visas are over wait until you need to reapply you'll see your lucky if you get one year. They forced everyone with residency to reapply all over again to make sure they still qualify
@@user-rw311 agree, in Thailand people getting ban for steaming if they keep steaming will go to prison 😂 which is suprising and I bet many people are effected who made money from streaming in Thailand

@@kurrwaMy property tax in a strata 5 barrio in Medellin is $90 a month or about $1,100 a year. 🤷🏾♂️

Not true. I brought a house here and got a 5yr visa. All you have to do to renew is show that you still own the property. Literally takes 5mins.

Fake news! I have the investment visa and it is 3 years. You renew once and apply for residency at 5 years. 🤷🏾♂️
