This is my favorite PC game of all time. I built a windows 98 computer last year so I could play my favorite games again and this was the first thing I got going. It's also the desktop wallpaper! I just showed it to a friend of mine a couple days ago by letting him play through the first level. Such a goddamn good game.

For those asking for a remake, sequel, I don't think we'll ever see one. However, I'm trying to "develop" a game heavily inspired by MF. I'm now looking for a programmer that is competent with the unity engine, to get some sort of start. Also an animator. I'm going to do buildings, mostly as I'm not that good at 3D modeling, but I'll try. If anyone is interested, or know someone who might be interested, please spread the word. If you want it to happen, I need help.
Someone needs to make a game based on Metal Fatigue. A sequel is impossible unless whomever owns the rights decides to pull a Homeworld on it, which I doubt is likely. The closest hope we have is someone making a game which is very similar to MF. I'd love to see a game with modern graphics and the gameplay and story of MF, because strategy games nowadays are too dull in my opinion. In MF, you built yourself a huge base and robots that fought for you, either on the ground or on orbiting rocks, with tank combat underground. No game has done that to my knowledge, which is just sad because it is a great idea.

Made my copy work a couple of days ago! Such a good game. Had some issues with the game freezing after an hour of play or so, but it was easily fixed changing rendering thread options on my Glide wrapper! I can help too if needed c:
Basically all you need to do is install a Glide wrapper, then install the game and choose Glide as your prefered render on the installation settings, and winXP SP2 compatibility, of course. After that it's messing a bit with your Glide wrapper settings to what you like. My freezing problem came from the wrapper settings. Glide Wrapper I used: drive.google.com/open?id=0B10N-tXUsTIraWkxdW5sdi1tMzA These are my settings: i.gyazo.com/afd833881ab0f25ffccf03f7c70346e9.png When I changed thread policy to "Use render thread" my freezes stopped. Used to freeze ~1hr in, but after changed that I could play for hours, alt-tab, etc, and worked perfectly. I also have a .bat launcher for the game that kills explorer.exe before starting up, though not sure if that's necessary, since it froze with that too and the real change was *after* changing Thread Policy. If that doesn't work it might be a combination of the wrapper AND the bat file, in which case hit me up and I'll help with that too! Good luck!

For a kickstarter to work, we'd have to have something to show. We've thought of it though and it's something we plan on doing, once we have enough to show.
@MightyX1337 You bet it. You don't have to Zerg rush in this game. It's simply about giant robot beating each other to scrap. And I love giant robots that beat each other to scrap. I'm thinking what if someone used CryEngine3 to make the game go into modern gaming. Now that CryTek released the engine and the tools for it, then someone could make a Crysis 2 mod with MF on CryEngine3 (with better AI and collision detection).
@Maciejka0111 I think that today with online play this game would be a huge hit. I like Warcraft 3 but if I were to choose between Metal Fatigue and Warcraft 3 then I would choose Metal Fatigue.

I readed instruction with _inmmcnf combination and did it step by step. Effects was exacly like those wrote in instruction but the final effect never came! There is no music during play. Can anyone help me? I have xp pro.

The first non-anime game where you can modify your bots and make them into harbingers of destruction (either from afar or in close combat). The only minus of this game? The AI. Game urgently needs a sequel or at least a spiritual successor.
@someotherguy560 I can play it on my current pc but I need to use win XP as it gives a lot of errors on win 7. There is win XP patch for MF so just grab this and you will be able to play on XP, it even runs on win 7 but on that operating system it crashes in every second game.

+roro You need to install nGlide and run this game in Glide graphics mode, then it works to the point where you can play one full match then you need to restart the game and then you can play another mission. TL;DR: Install nGlide, use GLIDE mode, relaunch whole game after every map.
+roro Try running the game with windows XP compatibility mode enabled (right click MFatigue.exe then click Properties and under compatibility select Windows XP. It should run and then you will be able to switch to GLIDE and after that it should always start normally.

Download nGlide and install. Run the game and choose GLIDE in game options. Restart the game and play. Restart the game after every match as this game causes memory leaks on newer systems. If the game does not start try running it with WinXP compatibility mode, change that graphic option to GLIDE, exit and disable compatibility mode - game should start fine now.

@someotherguy560 Easy to do via VPN like Hamachi, tried with friends and didint encounter any problems (you just need to have the same patch).
