    Great video Sue! Looks like a great alternative to Facebook. I’m tired of no one in the group seeing my posts too! Thanks for the in-depth review.

      Glad it was helpful! It's an amazing alternative to FB groups and I will post more videos as we get our groups moved over and settled in :)

    Great walkthrough. I know the AppSumo deal is over, but I have a few questions:
    - How many communities can you create with Tier 2?
    - Can these communities be branded differently? For example, I'd like to create one for gaming and one for tourism (very different things, so they need different logos, colors, etc).
    - Do people really login to these communities? I mean, people are addicted to other social platforms so they constantly go to Facebook, TikTok, etc... but don't they forget to use the Heartbeat community?

      Hey Markus, I believe that you only have one community (and branding etc) per plan, however you can tier the access within, If you want different logos/colours etc, I believe you'd need two accounts for that.
      In regards to logging in - it's a challenge that most businesses have and it's why great communities are led by the community manager. Encouraging engagement, letting everyone know what is happening (heartbeat does have an automated this is what happened this week email you can set up to go out to everyone) will help get people into the community. Make sure to link to the community from emails, your course (if community is part of that). One of the problems of using things like FB groups, is the change in engagement on those platforms. In the past groups were fantastic, but now the reach in the notification feed for groups has all but disappeared and in the past where say 50% of group members would see a post, we're now lucky if 5 people see it - so you've still got to take the lead and drive that engagement no matter where the community lives.

      @@suemclachlan Thanks a lot for your detailed answers! Good to know about the account limits and benefits. I totally agree that it gets harder to manage FB groups when they are constantly lowering the reach.

      We're actually about to start using Kajabi communuties for 2024. I love heartbeat and it's what I would use if I wasn't with Kajabi and I do think they offer some features that are better than Kajabi. However the ease of having everything in one place, with one login, is what has made me decide to use Kajabi.

    I'm researching this to see if I want to use this for my new community I am building. But it just seems like it's very similar to Facebook groups. How is this different? Will all of my community see more of the things that go on? Just trying to figure out the actual amazing benefits that maybe the Facebooks group doesn't have.

      There are some similarities between any community app and Facebook Groups as it is essentially doing a similar thing. Bringing people together for chats etc. The issue many people have found with Facebook Groups is that a lot of people aren't on facebook (and don't want to be) so they miss out. Also notifications are so easily lost and many things don't show up on the feed anymore - we would be lucky to get 5% of our posts in the feed.
      The way you can have different areas for chat is helpful, especially with a bigger community and you can segment access to different parts of your community with heartbeat. Heartbeat also sends out a weekly update (if you want it to) and your members can optin for notifications as well.

    Hey, i would Love to know how u would compare Mighty Networks and HeartBeat???
    I played around with Mighty network but i hate that in order to get their Unbranded app you have to spend $30,000 Per YEAR. Thats 30 Thousand! Absolutely ridiculous! Yes they have a good support group and coaching but what the actual F right?!?

    • @suemclachlan
      @suemclachlan  2 года назад

      I've not actually used Mighty Networks, so unfair of me to do a comparison. But was that Circle you were thinking of for the $30k? I know they announced something recently, but that was for your own branded app - most people use the Circle branded app - and it's the same for Heartbeat and other programs. You have a space on their app essentially, which I don't think is a bad thing, especially for the cost. I can totally understand why it would be $30k (or more!) to get your own branded app.

    • @the_luminary
      @the_luminary 2 года назад

      @@suemclachlan No that was not a typo, its 30k for Mighty Networks White Label App that one must Pay EVERY Year... So, u really dont think 30,000 a year is over priced?? U guys must be raking it in to not even flinch at that.

    • @suemclachlan
      @suemclachlan  2 года назад

      @@the_luminary ok so they must both be doing it! A white label app sits squarely in the luxury for large businesses I would imagine, it would depend how important the brand is to a company. If its an 8 figure business with tens of thousands of community members, they may consider it worthwhile. Most businesses will probably stick with the significantly cheaper unbranded apps
      And no I don't think it's over-priced, it's just that it's a specialised tool for businesses that want/can afford it. I imagine they would have extra development costs, need to make sure it complied with appstores for any updates etc etc, hence the cost. Usually those costs are spread over thousands of companies, but if it's for just one company it may be a lot.

      Honestly - I've still not yet decided on the best path with Kajabi communities out now. Heartbeat is currently still better than Kajabi Communities, but Kajabi Communities is continually releasing new features, so I still hold out hope it will improve, as I'd like to keep everything within the same eco system, but if I had to decide today, I would go for Heartbeat :)
