Reward stacking is one of the best ways to maximize your spending no matter how high of a spender you are. That example of the SSD you got from Dell couldn't have shown that any better! Great tips as always Ben!
Thanks for talking about the grace period thing. This is under-discussed in general (although perhaps the reason for that is because people 'in the game' tend to be on time and in full). But people definitely need to be very careful about this one =).

Ben, I could really use a deep dive on how to balance Kudos and Rakuten... Since, as I've seen and as you note, using Kudos sometimes disables Rakuten - and that *could be* OK, depending on which is giving me the better deal... or maybe there is a way to avoid it? ...and if I want Rakuten on a particular site, how do I disable Kudos for that site? Etc. Many thanks!
Right, in theory they can't be used together, so I would only use the one that gives you the best rate. If you are using Rakuten, I would say just don't click yes to Kudos boost. And if you are using Kudos then, hmmm, I'm not sure
Ben. If we have both the Hilton surpass & aspire and we are redeeming the free night or points on the surpass, will our diamond status from the aspire be applicable or not since we're using the surpass? Will we have one Hilton ID (acct) or one ID for each card?separately
One Hilton account, so the free nights go into that account, so you wont be redeeming them on the surpass or aspire, you are just redeeming from your Hilton account

I sincerely have a challenge for all the "CC enthusiasts". There are dozens and dozens of videos on traveling,, aka buying hotel and airfare for the US travel, the Amex Gold's benefits when abroad, etc. Almost all videos show traveling only in the US with all the multipliers and upgrades for daily spending nd US traveling, but hardly anything beyond the airfare and pre-paid hotel if going abroad. Especially if you are not going t some tourist trap resort. I would love to see a video with trifectas/multipliers or whatever for the guy that travels abroad mostly and wants to get the most of multipliers and points from things outside the hotel and airfare purchase/upgrade. Car rentals, gas, restaurants, grocery stores, etc all with multipliers and no foreign transaction fee but for the US based traveler. Is there such a thing? Of course there is, but you now have a challenge. SHOW ME THE MONEY............
Shipping is the same as on whatever website you are shopping on, so if it is something you wouldn't buy anyway, then you may lose out. But on the flip side, if you said well if I didn't use rakuten I would drive to a mall and buy the thing, well maybe you drive half an hour to a mall and then half hour back, that may cost $3 or $4 in gas, so there you may be paying a little for transportation cost of your goods no matter what.
@TheCreditShifu I beg to differ. I buy a considerable amount of items on amazon. And yes I do pay a Membership fee. Which includes shipping and a 5 percent off. Why would I drive to the mall.???
@@DaveMartinez-o1s really depends on what you are buying. I use amazon for some things, but they dont have everything and some items i prefer to buy direct from a retailer’s website. But yeah if im using Amazon then it is amazon card for 5% and prime for free shipping and no rakuten
@@TheCreditShifu Forgive me i'm not implying one is better than the other. Not everything at Amazon is the best price. I have a set foot in a mall in 5 years
Can you find me a credit card with a 40,000 limit, with a no more than maybe 5 percent interest so i can put my current debt on one cheap card 25000.00 total. Thank you ver u much sir.😊😊😊😊😊
Some of this information is inaccurate or poorly explained if not misleading like singling out Chase for compounding interest on new charges when you carry a balance creates an impression that they are the only bank that does so when it is standard for all lending cards.
The two free years of Lyft Pink All Access is pretty spectacular as well and 10x UR points on Lyft rides until March ‘25. And a potential year of Marriott Gold Elite (3 nights stayed)…CSR has lots of hidden value.

Is this just on our first purchase or 2x credit on all our purchases later on too?

Wowo super helpful, I didn't know about the loss of the grace period for EVERYTHING if the new balance is missed by even just a penny!

Yeah I didn't realize that about complete loss of the GP for all future purchases until the entire balance is paid.
Great job Ben.

I did not get that idea about Chase, it was quite clear to me that he meant all credit cards.
