These are among the reasons we never entertained a cable deal for Car Trek.
Are you saying that you, Hoovie, and Tavarish secretly hate each other? 😄
😂
...oh, is that still going.
Why are you not verified?
I remember watching the show when it came out! You can tell right away they didn't like each other!! I blind man could've seen it😂😂
What's the name of it?
@@Freshalways7414Rusted Development (I think)
@@Freshalways7414 shit it was called lord of the car hoards! At first but then they changed it to Rusted development..
It's a shame because it was a great idea for a show but those programs are all about chemistry. See Top Gear, American Pickers, Wheeler Dealers, etc.
I used to be part of a reality tv show on discovery called "sons of guns" and man the crazy things that went on behind the scenes...like if you google the show or remember it and what happened, it was crazy stuff
Crazy for sure, to say the least. Too bad they chose that sik fuk to represent gun builders. The show itself was very good. You employees had real skills & it came across on the show. Im not a NRA type guy, but I absolutely believe in gun rights, and that show was a decent way for non-gun folks to understand the importance of self defense, without coming off like a commercial for it.
Dude I totally get it, unless you've been involved with one you don't know what's going on behind the scenes
@@RPmotorcars our soundguy came inches away from being hit by a round from an ak that the one of the lead actors ND'd and that is one of the less crazy stories
I remember that show I liked it at the time until I found out about will
@bradsterb15 dude was a very very dangerous individual
I hope you never stop making videos Ed. Vinwiki is the best part of the morning before work.😃
I talked up enough to get my buddy on the show. They did a great job on his Chevy. The painter was top notch, there was a paint issue a few years later and he fixed it. It was a let down to hear and see the attitude of some people involved.
I always was thinking that the Wrestler wasn‘t happy
One knew how to stay on budget, the other didn't care about the budget, that was the biggest hardship of that show
I really loved that show. It was some of the rarest car shows which I did hope to last.
I agree. I thought it was a good show.
It was the best of all of them. It showed the back story that customers never saw and I use to work at a hot rod shop!
Sucks when you have to deal with such big egos. Great story. Production is a helluva lot of work!
i wouldn't have done it no different if i was put in that situation with the lady hitting me like that while i was in my international eagle.. i had a similar accident happen like that and i did help them get a new door and fender even though it was ther fault and i never regretted it after 10 years past i bumped into them at a store where i lived and they ended up moving into my state and living in the neighborhood over from me and they saw my dakota bumper was bent up from my brother borrowing it and jacknifing his trailer into it and they went and bought me a brand new bumper and they left it aling with a note on it that said thank you
When cameras are involed, everything gets more complicated.
I think that Rick was jealous of Chuck's hair.
Was never a fan of anything Rick Dore did, his designs were weird and goofy to me, understandable why Chuck didn't like him, guy seemed to act like he was the greatest thing since sliced cheese.
Every artist has a style. But everything I've ever seen by Rick looks exactly the same. And the ego/attitude that came across on the show, Wow. Made him look like a d@uche.
Rick Dore has created a few kustom cars that are awesome.
Chuck was a damn good hand in the ring. Impressive how fast he could move at his size.
I've heard this story before somewhere. Snakes, scorpions, yeah, a lot of fun. Cheers 🇨🇦
Rick used to be my neighbor- really nice good guy
Crazy timing the show just aired again about a week ago.
Used to watch Lords all the time but can’t find it anymore.
For some reason and I don't know why they just never are reruns of that series at all anymore, occasionally you can find some episodes pop up for season 2 which was called rusted development what is Forrest season 1 I never see the reruns I just have them saved on a DVR when I was doing the show do not know why they do not are them anymore
RUclips has both seasons you can purchase. I've got them saved on my smart TV
Rick Dore built most of the cars for Metallicas lead singer. His name escapes me..
James Hetfield
Kirk Hammet had a 36 ford built by Cole Foster of Salinas Kustoms, top notch builder!
Wasnt that the show with Chuck Palumbo from WWE?
I vaguely remember this show.
Joe is becoming one of the best storytellers on Vinwiki
He & his brother are really good guys.
Facts
I remember this show, what a joke it was…
Absolutely agree with you on that.
More truth in this show than the other pieces of crap on reality tv
The shop I was working for was actually on the first episode with the van the producers how to rebuild an engine for free if they can advertise the shop's name first episode comes on the shop was never shown my boss was pissed
Yeah they never advertised for anyone and they got alot of stuff for free during the production
I remember this show with Chuck Palumbo I don't understand why they picked him
Love this channel
An actual human mostly just bot traffic this early.
I'm glad some of the pulses on here.
Intriguing and Entertaining, mes amis !
I watched an episode , thought it was just ok.
Watched part of another and could see something was not working. Never went back for a third.
It might be fun to be along for the ride though .
Its took me way too long to realise the chuck was former wrestler chuck palumbo
Great story
I liked that show, a lot actually. But the chemistry felt weird a bit and I was like 12-13 years old when I watched it. The wrestler guy felt out of place.
That was a good premise for a show, and I think it could even be profitable if they just restored the cars. But I think it would be less interesting.
Car people would find it interesting. The problem is the rest of the world wants a soap opera not a car show.
@@user-neo71665 I don't agree. How could a car guy find it interesting when they destroyed a yard full of cars to restore one or two? The parts that they scrapped to build that one car should bother every car guy out there.
@@mexicanspec They didn't destroy anything, they sold the cars, whether they were restored or became donors is unknown, but it's better to sacrifice a car to save another, than to let it rot in the backyard.
@@visekual6248 A lot of them were junked, that is destroying them.
@@mexicanspec Not every car can be saved, I'm sure if it could be sold they would sell it, otherwise they would be throwing money away.
Wait did anyone else think that was a young Bryan Cranston? Like from back when he was a side character on Seinfeld? I forget what his role was..thiiiink he was the guy who nobody beats, the charming stranger..I think.
He played a Dentist
Clearly those 2 did not get along. Rick n Chuck both probably have good sized egos & they definitely are different type of guys. Id think hanging with Chuck would be more fun, but if I want a car built I am calling Rick. Sorry Chuck.
I likes that show I got the Vybe Rick was the issue
Nope, he is the real deal. Cool and creative.
I liked the show!!
Smile in your snapshots & cut to the CHASE!!!
2013 is the early age of facebook?
What was the show name?
Rusted Development
Lords of the Car Hoards
I liked that show
I've never even heard of the show. It couldn't have been that great. It didn't go anywhere lol.
It was not a show for car guys. They destroyed a lot of cars to build one or two. I hated it.
Two seasons they change the name in the second season, and it lost all momentum and never came back
I remember this underlying tension. I remember yall build a Merc then that wrestler guy. Wants to put a bb chev in the thing. So wrong. Bb Merc. Plumbo knew nada. Rick had to sit there and tolerate this meat head.
When a guy builds, takes part in events, and sells...it's interesting, not just "Slicky-slick"
Maybe this was an exception but the vast majority of reality shows were entirely scripted. I know this from first hand experience as an extra on Storage Warz. EVERYTHING was scripted and pre set up.
I'm sorry but if you know anything about reality tv and cars you knew this show was DOA. The only car shows that are worth watching are shows like Road Kill, Engine Masters or people like Derek from Vice Grip Garage. The main networks make shows for morons not actual car people.
Early days of facebook😂
What really happens on a tv show, you follow the script. Thats why they all suck.
Man that show was HORRIBLE.
Television drama made for the viewers. Always pure garbage.
I’m convinced that dudes that have an accent are just immediately likable on camera, east coast, the south (Rabbit) Aussie, English… they just make things more enjoyable with their specific vernacular.
Oi, I see ya dinged ya front guard up. Smick wing on tha boot. Yer na yer, whatcha got under tha bonnet mate? Fair dinkum it looks like a hefty donk, betcha it goes like all the powers of piss 🤠
In Australia, it was originally called something else... I can't remember what, but it wasn't Lords Of The Car Hoards or Rusted Development, but it was renamed Rusted Development in repeats. I suppose they named them for their local markets. I did enjoy it, though. They did a few decent builds
Yep your correct, I can't remember now what it was called but they did rename it in different markets
I met Rick and Chuck at Sema. Chuck is a good dude. Rick on the other hand not so much. May have been dude to the whole Sema shit show but he rubbed me the wrong way . Talented just not a people person
Rick like everyone has his moments. Everyone is human and he deserves a break
@johngrepo9976 like I said it was during Sema. He was being pulled in multiple directions so I am giving him that but dude just rubbed me wrong like he was better then everyone kinda attitude. I'm sorry even Jesse James was not as big of a prick as Rick was that day an we all know how hot Jesse can be
@fc3sboy1 , true. Jesse runs hot and cold but I get it. One minute Jesse was dealing with crap,30 minutes later cool as f..
While the premise was good, the execution was wanting. Maybe it was the designs by the guy stuck in the 50s, maybe it was the chemistry, or the apparent cutting corners. It just wasn't interesting.
The premise was not good. Destroying a bunch of cars to build one or two is a horrible premise.
Lol they were really doing it tho😂😂. Dude was really buying and selling, dudes were really building cars and wasting money, can't get along.....sounds like regular company business to me
This one is actually good. Keep it up
What was this show called?
Lord of the car Hoards
What's the name of this show
lords of the car hoards, extreme car hoarders in some countries
I hated this show. They scrapped a lot of old metal that should still exist today.
Blah blah blah...
