every one of these is superb. Listening to childhood Mozart is interesting and often enjoyable, but Mendelssohn is the only whose early works totally stand up as strong.
I agree! I don't want to diminish the value of Mozart's early works, but yes, most of them are not exactly what you'd expect from someone who later wrote those masterworks. On the contrary, Mendelssohn's early work already show clearly what would come in the following years.
Why? In my channel you can find a video that I've recently uploaded "10 years old Mozart - Three church sonatas - KV67 + KV68 + KV69". I think that they are very good.
So glad you're uploading all of the string symphonies, more people need to know about them! I had a ton of fun playing some of them in my old youth orchestra!
I really love these string symphonies by Mendelssohn. I heard that he suppressed the publication of these delightful works on the grounds that they we're 'mere excersizes'. His maturity was not yet, in his own estimation, developed enough and he might be said to be somewhat ashamed of them.
This music is very impressive given Mendelssohn's age at the time of composition but it's not more worthy of performance two hundred years later than the piles of forgotten music written by other composers of the same epoch. blecch

Stefano Paparozzi awesome! Looking forward :)
@@TimondeNood One symphony every day, at 9am (Italy time, Wikipedia says it's UTC+2, but I'm not even sure what the hell does it mean XD)

Yes, even if clearly immature compositions, they are really, really interesting!
I'll upload one symphony every day! ;)
im learning right now its a pain but a good song
It's amazing how skilled he was in such an age. I'm almost twice his age and despite my best efforts can't write anything near this level.

How talented the young Mendelssohn was… there is pretty great counterpoint here.
Thank you very much for the effort
Sounds straight out of the apex classical period
Pretty good for a 12-year-old!
Same😂I’m 12 AND a cellist
