Though it hurt me to watch you struggle with leveling your Botamon into wizardmon because Botamon can learn Flash, and flash does electric damage in this rom. I realized this when mine was level 17 and was able to level it the rest of the way on its own instead of swapping.

You said you were ok with hints- There is a universal exp share when you deliver the letter to Steven stone. Go back to Devon and turn it on to activate it. Also, you can switch your battle style to shift in options so you have the option to switch Digimon prior to the fight.
For right now I'm okay not using switch since I assume it isn't on due to the Mod makers preference. I do plan on using that experience share though and am happy to say I did get it in future episodes.
The trainer thing has to be a glitch or supposed to be a joke i got it too while playing. I loved emerald and digimon as well and this game is 10/10. The quality of life is amazing so shout out to the developers of this game.

The game is based on gen 3, but everything else is definitely way beyond gen 3. This game has fairies, the physical/special split has already happened and moves and items from the later gens are in this mod.
