As a former offensive lineman we look for any advantage we can get. But it does look like this is a false start.
It totally is and obvious too. Shill linemen Shipley went hard here. I’ve seen dudes barely flinch .01 of a second early and get called.
Its not. There is a gray area where if his foot is still in the air when the ball is snapped it is fair play.
@idefinitelytapped7396 I agree I went against some bad dudes that made me false start (I flinched) and it got called. If I was the ref I would've called it
Which nfl team did you play for?
Thankyou for your service.
I love it when AQ, who was an O-Lineman, argue with JJ, who was on the defense, argue about the fouls the other side does.
I have more of a problem with his head lined up 2 yards off the ball than the movement
Thank you so much for telling a page full of NFL fans who these guys are and what position they played ahaha
@@revolution55125 you're welcome

@@revolution55125 Don't be so sure that everyone knows everything about every player from every team, my guy.
Jawaan Taylor didn’t get benched Andy said he did it to see if the refs would call the other guys on the same thing (they didn’t) and also Taylor a cut in his mouth and needed to be looked at.
Get Brett Kollman on. He has a whole video talking about how this is technically legal according to the rules. It's not this simple but the general idea is that if the tackle is in a 2 point stance, the back foot can move before the ball is snapped as long as the back foot doesn't land, and the front foot doesn't move before the ball is snapped.
This clip they showed was well more than the back foot moving, Johnson's body is starting to stand up before the ball is snapped, so what he did wasn't legal by any stretch.
Which is an insane technicality that should be changed. If a guard wiggles his butt cheeks too much they get a false start but this dude can jump the count every down because his plant foot hasn't lifted
You must have missed the Kollmam and Pat drama if you think he would come on or be invited to the show 😂 😂
@@Mike__B this clip is an awful example for this conversation because this one was most likely a blown call but he does this on every snap and is just getting a perfect jump 99 percent of the time.
@@KidCudisthegoatwhen was this be because I missed it too lol
Lane Johnson jumps on every play
Nope
🙄🙄 he isn’t in a three point stance..
Every play for sure. Eagles get away with over a dozen holding calls per game. Team is a fraud thats why Cheifs will always be there daddy.@@idrip2153
Lane Johnson needs to start getting flagged.
Because he is too good at exploiting a gray area in the rules?
@@lazcoroner1483but when other do it then it’s a problem
He's been cheating his whole career.
Lol yal need to stop snitching
Yeah it's pretty bad
There were like 4-5 frames where Lane's leg is a foot in the air and the ball hasn't moved. AQ can't gaslight us into thinking that wasn't a false start.😂
*THE ENTIRE SHEAGLES O LINE ALMOST EVERY SINGLE SNAP*
Perfect timing? Taylor has been called for that BS the last 2 weeks
Yeah Taylor isn't on the Eagles, that's where there's a difference
The chiefs benched Taylor to put the back up in at the same distance only for him not to get called on illegal formation or false start. Taylor did it in Jacksonville for years prior to becoming a Chief
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone had already said it.. They also asked Smith to line up deeper to see if he would get flagged..
On the TD that was called back because of illegal formation on Taylor, Smith was lined up farther back than him by a lot. Every damned tackle in the league lines up as deep and starts early. The refs are picking on Taylor, and it's horseshit.
@@ewilliams1185 and then Mahomes got hurt the very next play. It’s dangerous to be replaying downs over something stupid
False starts were his problem but I’ve never seen so many illegal formation plays until we played the Bears.
They should call it no matter what, but it makes sense that the league would care less about a losing team cheating vs a winning team, they have different impacts on the legitimacy of the league. Nobody was watching the Jags, so they didn't care that much.
Official league guidance to refs, and THE offensive line coach Duke Manyweather, say that a lineman in a two-point stance is allowed to "change his weight" prior to the snap.
That's why you see tackles jiggling their back foot and it not being called. So, if an O-tackle lifts his back foot (never his front foot) off the ground, it's only a false start if his back foot hits the ground again BEFORE the ball is snapped. If the centre moves before his foot lands, all above board, by rule.
Not that that's how it should be, but that's how it is.
Pin this. Actual rules
Personally, I think that’s a well written rule.
@@RuralVol it is well written, but it should be changed. He's basically getting a full body movement advantage on every single snap because he doesn't lift his plant foot up? That's bs
bro I've seen people getting flagged for flinching without any legs moving and somehow this is fair? if thats the rule then burn it.
@@southviewarabare they tackles, though? Guards tend to be in three-point stances, and (anecdotally) they seem to get called for false start more often than tackles.
If they enforce that across the league, how about they also enforce all neutral zone infractions. Defenders consistently line up offside. We all can see it on TV, when someone has a foot or a head past the football.
Yes. Let's enforce both. Play it right, and by the rules.
Kris Jenkins was notorious for lining offsides.
@@rtyable I'd say have the refs warn em like yo you're pushing it my guy, back off or I'm gonna ding ya for it every time.
You realize we don't get a straight on view right and there's refs literally waiting for that you're probably seeing them go over the line on your tv when the ball is still behind it on alot of plays the refs are judging the ball not the imaginary line

Exactly what happened. Didn't get called on Prince Tega
Yes 100% accurate
Guarantee Taylor gets flagged and benched again vs the jest. Refs are killing him and he’s done this his whole career, like many tackles in the league. When he’s on the chiefs, it’s a league wide problem now
Because all eyes on chiefs the been getting so many non calls or stupid calls go their way since mahomes joined ?

I was at the game and I could see it lol
It’s legal though… tackles in that stance are allowed to move their back foot as long as it doesn’t land before the ball is snapped. Tackles are getting really good at timing it, but it’s 100% allowed yards dummies
@@TheHeadinchargethat was a false start. You can't move until the ball is snapped. That's the rule. He broke it.
The first week everyone pretended like they were watching football for the first time. Everyone brought out their pitchforks for Jawaan Taylor. Meanwhile almost every other tackle is doing the same thing.
So everyone is racist?
But (former Bengals player and fan) Chris Collinsworth called out Taylor specifically and bitched about it all night in prime time. So the NFL is just bullying Taylor just because of something so stupid as that
His leg was halfway in the air, and the ball still hadn’t moved
At the game and I saw it lol
If he is going backwards and his foot doesn't land on the ground. It's 100% legal
The tackle is deeper than the receiver that’s Off the Line of Scrimmage….before the snap lol
The NFL is giving offenses every advantage it can. There is no home field advantage anymore. I miss the days when the entire line couldn’t move once they got set at the line. Since 2015 with the Steelers doing this opening night, they’ve allowed the entire O-Line to get up and twist their bodies to look around pre-snap. The Center used to have to look under their legs and communicate with the QB via silent count. It’s too easy now.
Watch the 84 Dolphins offensive highlights. The entire O-line would be in a two point stance then pivot to a 3 point stance seconds before snap. Weird stuff you don't see anymore but there's always been "some movement" allowed on the line.
@@Neonator08that movement is permitted because its in unison
They never called it vs the Commanders and you could see it every time. Even the TV announcers were saying "wow that guard looks offsides every snap"
That’s exactly what Jawan Taylor does but he’s the only one getting called for it. And not only is he the only one getting called for it but…. It also just so happens to be at VERY inopportune times for the chiefs. Not saying it’s a conspiracy. But it’s very questionable
Even the chiefs other tackle Donovan Smith has been getting deeper and deeper now...he doesnt get called. Screw Taylor I guess.
they get marked by the refs, eagles get leway because "they play like this" , @@Typzical
Taylor is far more egregious. He doesn't even line up properly.
@@joenobody563170% of the leagues tackles line up the same btw. Andy reid didn't bench taylor he baited the nfl basically. Told the backup to line up the same way and see if it would get called (it didn't)
If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.
As a former o lineman, i had great side vision and could always time it up. But i was always a guard.
In this era if you can block well for 4.5 seconds you can make a clean throw and win. And what there guys do cuts that down to 4 seconds. That may not seem like much, but in percentages, that is almost 10 percent of the needed time without any contact.
Lane Johnson false starts on every single drop back.
What are you guys all defensive players in here?
“We just all have eyes” 😂😂
I've been saying this since the Chiefs @ Rams game in the Coliseum that ended at 51-54. That right tackle was false starting the entire game. I was screaming it the entire game and nobody cared.
Im sorry
Man they really tried to disguise this clear penalty lmao
The rule is a lineman in a 2 point stance is allowed to move he's back foot to "reposition" without it being a false start, so moving even presnap is not a foul as long as he started in a 2 point stance and didnt move the front foot.
Hahaha AQ has me rolling guys in AC!
Let's not forget this conversation truly started Chargers vs Jaguars game last year.
People only started talking about it when that player went to the Chiefs but his BS is the reason Joey bosa freaked out at the officials. All of a sudden people share Joey Bosa's opinion when the fuckary isn't at the expense of the Chargers.
So we can stop flagging defense for being offside, right? Just to make it fair
I think the tackles can move their back foot BACKWARDS. To “reposition their selves” as much as they want, so long as they don’t move forward before the snap. It’s a loop hole in the rule that leaves a little bit of a gray area…. It’s really up to how the referee interprets the rule… that big leg kick BACKWARDS is the tackles attempt to show the ref, they where repositioning their footing, and not moving forward….
No they are pass blocking not run blocking. Can’t move early
It's the NFL version of the NBAs travel rules. 😂😅
I was wondering that too!! False start!! And the fkn REFS OF THE CLEVELAND GAME
Every game I see the defense ends with a hand or helmet over the line of scrimmage and encroachment/offsides is never called. This fraction of a second lee-way for the offensive tackles is fair game until they start making the defense actually lineup on their side of the ball.
Clearly a bias former o-lineman comment. I bet anyone that sees this any amount of money this commenter played at least college ball as an o-lineman.
This game they only benched him to have another guy go out there and line up at the game depth to see if he gets called for the same penalty. Then they had Smith do it on the left side. Neither player got flagged for it. Only Taylor did.
Get a girl to hate you as much as AQ hates air conditioning 😂
Lane Johnson did it during the champ game against the niners
The “head turn” isn’t the rule dummy. It’s when the ball moves
Besides Lane jumping, the guard on his side isn't set before the snap either. They all look in for the audible or whatever and the guard doesn't even stop moving before Jason snaps the ball.
The guard next to the tackle never comes fully set before the tackle moves. That is a penalty all by itself.
Brett koleman has a perfect breakdown on why what they're doing is legal
The crowd were booing immediately in real time. Everybody saw it.
I’ve been complaining about the leg kick for years.
Love It Pat The Pat McAfee Show Bro Let's Gooooooooo.
I've called false starts on DBak for years, he used to do this every play.
AQ is doing some serious mental gymnastics to justify the false start lol
It's all part of the script Roger Goodell writes. 😂

"The stinky ass bears" 😕
By AQs logic the whole line was late on the jump 😂😂
It's a false start and I'm an eagle's fan.
You should have AQ and JJ doing the trenches for offense to get 2 different perspectives

False starts are not the problem. Bogus “roughing the passer” calls is hurting the game.
If the guy moves before the ball it’s a false start. Period.

@@Jmc349 if he isn’t in a three point stance he is allowed to move his back foot for repositioning.. when lane kicks his back foot up as long as it doesn’t touch the field again before the ball is snapped it is legal.
It depends. If my team is on defense? It's a false start. If not? Nope! Fair play.
the center false starts at 2:56
Forget the tackle the guard is not even set before the ball is snapped.
even tho his leg moved before the snap, it is NOT a false start. a loophole in the rules allows a tackle's first step back to occur before the snap, as long as it doesn't land before the snap (i forget the reason/if it's more detailed than that but that's the gist of it). brett kollmann had a video about it, search "how to legally cheat on every play"
Not shocked Eagles are getting away with it
Or the Chiefs 😅
It's the new era. Tom Brady lead the way for refs favoring teams lol.
@@Conscious_Pookie_Tee2.7the only reason this is even talked about is because the Chiefs were getting flagged for it, how are they getting away ?
AQ getting defensive had me dead he knows hes wrong & dont care 😂😂
john madden once said, “refs can call a penalty every play, it’s if the choose to call one or not.”
Hasn’t the nfl come out and said that leg kick is within the rules and if the foot doesn’t land before the snap is enacted it’s not a false start? Idk if that’s a misinformation thing. But it seems like on every call out for false start that’s the excuse given to the tackle position for this move lately
Anyone and everyone can see that there are two (or more) offensive players in motion at the same time, which I think is “textbook definition”
been saying this for a long time. scream at the tv regularly. FALSE START!!!
Good lord JJ...they "benched" Taylor two plays in week 2.
In my air conditioning, at normal speed, he's clearly offsides
did it all game vs the niners too
Andy took him out and had his replacement do the same thing to see if they are targeting Taylor. That's why Andy took him out.
You would think Boston Conner would be all for every advantage...for the shield
Man i could see the false start from the 300 deck of the stadium
It's like they changed a rule and didn't tell anyone 😅
Didnt have to watch in slow motion to c that he was way early. I was watching live happened to b looking away from the tv at the time and still saw him jump early.
I guess I'm the only one that likes this. I like that linemen are trying draw the defense offsides. It's like the QB hard count. I like the strategy, but I do see it getting looked at during the off season.
I think we can all come together and just not only attack Taylor for this. He needs a apology by any and all NFL officiating "staff"
If the frame is moving at 1/1000th of a second that means Lane's leg is moving a million miles an hour.
As an Eagles fan, you guys are gonna be the reason Lane gets called all next week, so thank you for that
Seriously. Refs are gonna screw us somehow next week against washington

@@TheTomruchnow you know how us chiefs fans feel. Taylor has been literally targeted because Chris collinsworth cried on SNF. Andy didn't bench him he took him out and told his backup to line up the same way and see if they would call it. (Which they didn't)
It looks like a false start in real time, and when you slow it down it’s more obvious. But it’s obvious in real time.
Best of Boston Conner raght here, “you need to get out there because Carl nassib outs there”. Goes so unnoticed
been seeing this from week one and was like...the tackles are all going early but noone seems to care..I thought it was just me.
Lane has done this his entire career, he gets special treatment
This is on line with when the play clock hits zero but the ref doesn’t call delay of game because he’s looking elsewhere
1. Clearly a false start. 2. The guard isn’t even set when he starts to move.
Worried about a close false start when I've literally seen refs calling players out of bounds and stopping the play dead, in which the player wasn't out of bounds. Officials have been doing a horrific job and its mainly because they keep whistling plays dead instead of allowing replay to do its job. Fans are tired of it.
Argue all you want AQ if the defensive end jumped the snap and had a single leg in the neutral zone you'd want that offsides call plus a free play to bomb it down the field
Anyone else hear that Carl Nassib comment? 😂
The Chiefs benched Taylor on purpose to test if refs would call a penalty on someone else who was lined up wrong, and to no surprise the refs did nothing. The league has made it painfully clear that their “league-wide rule” is only goin to be enforced on 1 single player. I feel bad for Taylor, he’s been doin the same moves for years in Jacksonville and nobody noticed, understandably. Now he’s in the spotlight in KC and the league can’t handle his success.
If you look at Kelce’s head, it’s good. If you look at the ball, maybe false start.
Chiefs fans acting like the league has some vendetta against their team is wild though
Makes me think of all the walking that’s allowed in the NBA now.
It's not perfect timing. It's a false start. They are allowing it in college too
They should let the defense hit the qb with the same time discrepancy to even it up
Ban Lane Johnson
OTs have been doing this for years.
The play doesn’t start when the center moves his head the play starts when the ball moves. With that logic the defenders should go at the same time but that would be offsides. The NFL is giving so many advantages to the offense this shouldn’t be one of them
Argument doesn't really hold water when you see the penalty live tho
