Loved the new library...... All instruments, are unique.... Love from India 🇮🇳🙏
My bank account shakes in fear every time you make one of these videos, Dom! 😂 I love these kinds of libraries. Always inspiring.
😂😂lol
Great video Dom! I think what also matters is you actually play these instruments as they’re intended to be played which adds to the realism. Many musicians don’t realize that you have to imagine you are playing that instrument and know about its scales and what it can and cannot do to make it sound its best.
That first Duduk was really impressive, going to have to get that!
Even, with a kazoo, you could make something beautiful. Looking forward to part 2.
i love the use of the duduk by Bear McCreary in his scores, especially battlestar galactica
Great Music 😊❤
Beautifully recorded and beautifully played, Dom. A few of these samples would fall flat without your consummate playing skill. Superb!
Thank you for the kind words man!
This libraries sounds so natural 👌🏿🎹🎹.
Incredible.
Part 2 and 3 please!😀🙏
one of the best library video out there 🔥🔥❤️❤️🙏🏻🫡🙏🏻🙏🏻
Above all i commented below i am sincerely congratulating Dom for his love for the Diversity of Humanity coming thro his playing itself based on careful listening to various national specific pieces and then reproducing the music and its Spirit throughout this inspiring production. It is a great pleasure to listen and to discover the mosaic of Humanity having Dom as a gifted guide with a Golden Heart matched by Golden Fingers❤🎉🎉🎉
Fantastic video! I love them all and I have them all, haha. For Part 2, try the Ethera Gold Atlantis 3, Sahara Voices, and Prometheus libraries by Zero-G, you won't regret it. They are among my favorites. Amazing True Legato, lots of vocal phrases, and a lot of passion from the developer, who is a great guy.
Sorry for asking ! Do I have to buy the platform Kontakt 7 to get to these sounds ?
@@michaellazaridis942 Yes, to use the Ethera Gold Series ( Atlantis III, Sahara Voices, prometheus ) yuo need Kontakt Full, but are amazing, check for the Stefano Maccarelli videos ( the developer)
Hey Dom, hope you’re well my friend. Just purchased Cubase 13 from logic, your videos are really helping to understand everything in the software…. I appreciate you
Man you play amazing the gipsy 100%
Thanks!
Let's give this channel lots of love guys...by clicking the bell & likes....Coz Dom loves us for real.
Cold on the keys! ❄️🙌💯 Great video
Please Do the Part 2. I'm so happy I found you. You play with so much Passion. WoW.
Thank you for this beautiful intro to awesome instruments.. it woukd be awesome to hear the rest.. very inspiring..
Wonderful 👏👏👏
Thank you, Dom! I would like to see a part 2 of more instruments like these.
awesome! part 2 for SURE!
Thank you friend ... we loved you and we admire you and if you want later with the mandolin we will send you a small bouzouki.... baglamadaki ... stay at the top for us too...!!!
Loved part 1, looking forward to part 2.
You are awesome Dom!! Love your comments & insights!! Well done!!
You need a bigger monitor....
YoU nEeD MoAr LiKeS
Lol :D
I think that's an OLED TV that he uses.
The subscription to use those instruments is very interesting to build your own templates before buying each instruments who are very expencive.
The strings sounded like an Italian theme song. And a bit of Persian flair.
Thank you for this video , yes please do part 2
Damn!, you make keyboarding look so easy
Incridibles VST! thanks a lot for this video Dom! I subscribe your channel! Swane
Amazing video ❤️
Great video as always Dom. Your playing is awesome. Can’t wait for part 2. Thanks!
Thank you, Dom! Please make, part 2!
DOM PLS DO A PART 2 THIS IS SO AMAZING ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Dom! Massive fan here ❤🔥 Your video featuring the Rhodope Bulgarian choir VST from a while back was a game-changer for me. I've been a huge admirer of composer Kevin Penkin, especially his "Tower of God" soundtrack. Thanks to your video, I finally found out where he got that sound from. I'd definitely recommend checking the soundtrack out. I think you'd like it a lot. Anyways, keep the awesome content coming and have a nice rest of your day🔥
Thanks Dom, great previews.
Some really inspiring stunning sounds, serious talented fingers Dom, you make it look so easy! Such a great nimble pianist. Something that I’ve often thought about whilst playing string/real instruments via midi, is that it’s often difficult to know ‘how’ to actually play them, in order make the instruments sound more realistic. World Instruments are often a little more complex in technique aspects as well as tunings. I’d love to see some dedicated explanations of different ‘playing techniques’ of these sounds. Brilliant production as always Dom! Fantastic and interesting video.
Dom thanks a lot for you huge effort ! 🤝👊 big BOOM 💥!!!😊
Part 2 please!!! ❤
Bless up Dom. Great vid as per. 2:13 'World Music' is a better terminology imo. its fusion in many of today's genres renders the term 'ethnic' redundant. I'm a sucker for a nice Duduk, Instant goosebumps every time. Great selection highlighted. 'With great musical power, comes great terrabytes of SDD responsibility' lol Liking the image comp on your video, saw this on one of your past thumbnails and thought wouldn't it be good if.......then you brought it to life. Nice one dude!
Muchas Gracias ....Hermoso
Nice demonstration Dom, inspiring!
love your work always Dom need part 2.
Thanks for sharing some good libraries.
Thanks for sharing the knowledge
Aaaaand Here we Go , that's the video for me 😂 thank you Dom ❤
Awesome demo's - love it !
Hi Dom. I got Ireland library from NI just few days ago.....amazing
Bravo❤
Cheers for the demo tour! From what I've gathered, most of these Persian and Ottoman libraries do not have playable authentic quarter scale tunings available. Some microtonal articulations in the samples get close but not quite enough.
I love this one!!
0:01-0:09 My past loves, Manolis Hiotis. Sound of Bouzouki .
Byzantine music has 13 different types of keyboards to cover the whole repertoire. Each keyboard covers a number of modes and possible modulations...
Hi Dom, please please you could do a video on transferring our steinberg software from the dongle to steinberg licensing ? some seems to work, others dont, and some like my absolute 3 seem to not have the option. I am sure I'm not the only one who is a little baffled and would really appreciate your help. love your videos and have been watching for years :) All the best !
20:47 That song is called Djurdjevdan
Excellent content Dom. Do you think you can do a video on mixing and mastering with headphones using Steinberg's headphone match and comparing it with dSoniq's realphones and maybe sonarworks? Thanks and keep making these very helpful videos.
Maybe VSL in part 2? They have some nice ethnic woodwinds and drums.
Oops, no Indonesian ethnic musical instrumen? Anyhow, thank you for these to start. Love your ways of playing them, Bro!
I looked for other videos discussing your physical desk workstation. I would love to know what you did to make your setup usable with that S88 cover, mixer, and large screen setup. I struggle with back and arm pain with a S88 sliding from under my desk and computer above desk with 32” screen on top of desk. If you talk about your ergonomics in your setup, it would help me and probably many others.
these first phrases bouzuki riffs sounds like a latin requinto or portorrican cuatro
'What does 'ethnic' even mean..?' Here, Dom, let me clarify:
eth·nic
[ˈɛθnɪk]
adjective
of or belonging to a population group or subgroup made up of people who share a common cultural background or descent.
Nothing wrong at all with the word or its meaning - infact, it's very useful when classifying a multitude of musical styles and instruments from around this amazing world. I'm a huge fan of ethnic instruments and percussion, and a fan of what used to be called 'Fourth World' music (a melding of ethnic instruments and music with modern digital music technology).
Nice to see these sound collections come under the spotlight - some absolutely staggering ethnic Vsti's around, personal favourites are the Native Instruments 'Discovery' series ('India' is stunning), and SwarPlug4 (all-Indian Vsti - outstanding quality and depth of content).
Nice one as always. waiting for part 2
- "So what type of monitor are you looking for?"
- "a TV"
i would say,anatolia strings and breathe,also east west ra,PRECISIONSOUND kantele etc.sonokinetic kemence
As always a great video, as always (at least) one new purchase ;)
I've never heard you play Zero-G libraries, I think they get far too little praise, especially the price-performance ratio.
Sahara Voices and Atlantis are definitely among my “world music” vocal favorites
Absolutely , Indeed, @Dom Sigalas you should try Stefano Maccarelli's ( Zero-G ) Ethera Gold Atlantis 3, and Sahara Voices, and why not also Prometheus for male voices. Top Notch !
Absolutely love those libraries-they're the coolest thing the market has to offer right now!
Part 2 please, and thank you.
Yep, this is a great video! Thx
What have you been feeding your monitor, to make it grow so big? 😉
Ethnic Fruity Loops
As a musician from Russia, I'd say that you display a big Russian soul when you play the balalaika! 😊 Upon watching this video, I noticed that themes from the 'Sherlock' movie used an Indian instrument. Wanna see next part! Thank you!
dude has brilliant keyboard skills
And YES PLEASE MAKE A SECOND PART ❤🔥
I still prefer the Emu Sound library from the early 90s, they just sound so real.
Hey Dom, thank you for all the videos, i learn a lot from it! 😊 i discocered the following Cubase 13 Problems: The Vocoder seem to doesn't get the right Midi Chord Notes sometimes. And Cubase (13) doesn't add new songs/projects to the index, so it's not possible, to find it with F5 / Mediabay - is that my fault or can you reproduce it?? greetings, Alex
I like to play piano 😊
I'm still learning to play the piano, it's not easy, but I'll continue until I master it💪🏻😁
Another case of associating duduk with deserts.
Like from Russia! Native melodies..
19:50 I like this emotion
It looks yu love netflix alot.. So large screen. Fit for watchin movi pnly
thank you for doing what you do.... and like one of your other subscribers said my wallet will fear me watching your streams lol
So … yes, Part 2 please 😁
I personally have UVI Audio’s Quadra - Traveler. I got it because of a particular project where I wanted to evoke “Blade Runner as if it were set in Constantinople”. This gave me not only a lot of non-Western instruments, but also selected synthesised tones. Several of the presets combine these elements and thus could create instantly that image in mind.
Once again, very nice job on the playing where even if you are using a keyboard, you are considering the instrument you are meant to “play” and will play accordingly (i.e. so many notes in a run on a guitar, the fact you have to breathe every now and then on the aerophone instruments, etc.).
The Duduk always reminds me of the Myst games.
Leaving the taps off the clarinet ... exactly why the Irish wooden flute doesn't have keys for most of the notes, neither does the tin whistle (and my silver flute has holes in the keys (open keys) for much the same reason) and of course fiddle players adjust their intonation/pitch to match songs played in, say, D rather than use the even temperament of a piano, as well as for gypsy music etc.
A lot of western instruments (including blues guitar, slide guitar etc.) adjust microtones for expression and temperament.
p.s. World Percussion 2.0 is no longer available.
Molto interessante. Grazie.
Per il duduk quale consiglia per realismo e flessibilità: duduk della sonus o della Ilia? Grazie
Great stuff! Btw take it easy on "ethnic" it is a delimitting term for a cultural region. These regions have their own sounds, instruments, rytms, grades, expressions. It is a scientific term. To love it or hate it, it stays there anyways.
I know it is. But I happen to be an ethnomusicologist and this is a touchy subject for this specific science. ;)
As you get to a certain age, ones eye sight warrants a 48inch 4k asus rog monitor 😂 to be honest it looks like a video fx zoom plugin
I love ethenic liberary
Dom I'll for ever be grateful for your channel you've not just made me good producer but a unique producer ❤❤❤❤❤when am producing in Cubase my friend wonder how i do it 🙏🙏🙏they all produce in FL studio 😂
Sweet video Dom. How is the large monitor treating you? What make and model is it?
Look closely ;-)
As always, a very interesting video, Dom. I didn’t know some of the libraries at all. However, I’m surprised that you’re showing „EW Silk“ but not „EW Ra“. Just didn’t have it on your radar, or do you really believe that EW Ra is worse than the libraries you showed? Greetings from the Vulkaneifel.
Μανόλης Χιώτης in the beginning.❤ 🇬🇷
And Mimis Plessas later (βρεχει φωτιά στη στράτα μου)
@@HarryVarthakourisOfficial Ακριβώς φίλε!😁❤🇬🇷
Fantastic video my friend. The theme you are looking for is the theme from Jesus of Nazareth series by Franco Zeffirelli.
Dom. Not sure you use or ever demoed the AMAZING VST from Eduardo Tarilonte Best Service. They are in a league of their own!!! All of them
14:05 THATS SYRIA!!
Bouzouki is maybe a bit too clean. It could have a left hand modifier named “Ouzo”
❤🔥🔥
For a second there I was going to say welcome to the club of giant monitors (I have a 43" LG 4K) but then I noticed a little glitch on the top left! ;)
Great Discovery ! Very close to the Real Instrument...most of the voices. From my research the natural notes are similar but the accidentals are different in pitch and in their Numbers. Persian differ from Arabic, and Ottoman are also different. Turcoman is yet another set. Byzantine is close to Ottoman but sometimes different.
