FYI: The active buzzer sounds very bad because its volume is too high. By using a pot or even just a resistor, you limit how much power goes to the buzzer. Limiting the current of the PWM signal produces a reasonably good sound. Maybe the passive buzzer has a built in resistor already to keep its volume down therefore keeping sound quality up.

so it means analog multimeter uses active buzzer while pc motherboard uses passive buzzer? My analog multimeter buzzer doesn't work and i tried to replace it with computer speaker/buzzer but it doesn't work.

there is a good chance that what you are telling might be the case

For generating frequencies greater than 20KHz should I use active buzzer or passive buzzer?

Use a passive buzzer with corresponding circuitry.

Why everyone saying 9V buzzer🤬 3V buzzer!!! I didn't know the difference between buzzers so I decided to put 9 volt as you all say since with 3 v the buzzer was making microphone sounds😂 I didn't know it was actually a passive buzzer. With 9V I just screwed my passive buzzer(smelled like hell😢) anyways now after trying with 3V again doesn't seem like broken. Generally buzzer work from 3-5.5V so don't say 9V

where have we mentioned it as 9V buzzer?

@@Circuitdigest sorry if you didn't mention it but maybe I saw the 9V battery😂😅

@@CircuitdigestI surely seen it to another video (not yours) anyways this is a warning comment for the beginners
