Hi, as for shooting maybe you would know that : Wil +5 AP from a steel shield compensate for losing +15 % damage bonus from a sawblade? Is there any relation between AP and damage bonus? Like 1 AP equals roughly +3 damage bonus?
Hello Bo Potok, yes it's worth switching to Steel Shield to get +5 Attack Power if you currently use a Sawblade Alpha with a 15% damage bonus advantage. It's good to always consider Attack power and Damage bonus when choosing the best auxiliary weapons. In theory, giving yourself 1 Attack power is roughly equivalent to giving yourself 10% damage bonus, when a your attack power is relatively close to how much "armor points" your target has. Universally, if you're dealing with a regular or elite area operation that you have unlocked, a slight increase in attack power is better. But if you're doing a Federation Operation, a mutated operation level that is close to your own combat level, a very high floor in Death High, or PVP (these are the ones where your enemies' armor could be higher than your AP, or when you shoot them, it's hard to have 3 digits damage on), then a slight increase in damage bonus is actually better. But in your case, the answer is clear, +5 attack power is not a slight increase, it's like gaining around 30% to 50% more damage bonus, depending on your target.
@@BossGLifeafter Thanks for the reply, I actually switched to a steel shield at the weekend and I am very happy about that. As we got the profession change card I also chose to be a rifleman and I could compensate for the loss of 15 % damage bonus from the sawblade by developing the cert skills. I got extra 7 AP after the changes, my crit chance is doubled, generally all attributes are better. Tbh I thought +1 AP gave much less bonus.
