Basically PVZ was originally going to be called "Bloom and Doom", but Doom said no because of copyright reasons in the name. Popcap changed the name of the game to pvz but forgot to change the "Bloom and Doom" watermark (pvz1) seed packets bottom text. Skip to pvz3 its now cannon that Bloom and Doom is the company that makes seed packets containing the plants we see today.
the reason why this game still have some problems they need to get rid of. the community has been waiting for something for 4 years and they get is a clone of clash of clans and gardenscapes which proves that pop cap is on a identity crisis and their continuing it removing the td strategy part of the game but they still manage to bring back the thing that made pvz good but that is bare minimum cys isn't the one that made pvz great they we're more that are greater than a single mechanic the game doesn't feel like a strategy game it's just you using power ups and boosters is just ruins it i know other td games like btd, tds tdx and others have this but they only used them for grinding new towers or beating an impossible game mode like unlocking hidden wave,endless mode or others the boosters and power ups should be used on endless mode
the game wasn't getting better at first taco ability is the one they did something good in the demo but everything else isn't non polished designs and animations, cash grab, plant upgrades again it removes the strategy part, and zombies get stronger once they been upgraded none of these plants are good on their own they only rely on being leveled up
ok, your points are already invalid because: 1. people thought it was a clone of clash royale, not clash of clans. so youve already shown you don’t know what your talking about and just repeating what you heard online from some troll. and 2. neither version of pvz3 has been a clone of clash royale or garden-scapes. they mightve adopted similar gameplay features like customizable areas or the way you level up plants in the old version. but just because one game uses a certain gameplay element, that doesn’t mean no future games can use that same element. the gameplay in pvz3 is the same pvz gameplay youve always known. just because popcap uses one similar feature from another game doesn’t make them plagiarists, and certainly doesn’t turn the game into a clone of another game. the customizable lawns in the newer version is a nice feature that is purely customization, the devs thought it would fit in nice with a pvz game. its fun to customize your own garden and playgrounds and shit. and the leveling up system through pinatas was just a good system where you were constantly earning rewards and leveling up your squad. your points are like saying that call of duty ripped off medal of honor because in both games you shoot people with guns. its like saying that crash bandicoot is a clone of sonic the hedgehog because they are both cartoon animals that spin through levels, even though the two franchises are different. don’t be a sheep. also tell me how they are removing the real time strategy to the game? like you can pick your plants to fit the level’s zombies, play your troops to counter the zombies during the level while you manage resources to protect your house. popcap has pandered to you guys so much and you still won’t even acknowledge it.
i would if they sill continue to make original ideas but hey it's now in a good state now all it needs is minigames and bosses and also taco ability@@SomeDonkus086

Now, We only need a real world system, More Plants, Zombies, and Gimmicks, Bosses, Removal of the powerups and live system, addition of them as plants ( With Stats mostly from PvZ 2's Level 1 for Instas, and for Blover, add some flying zombies in the game ) , more balanced level design, and something special, maybe like Tacos from the old version ( Return of the Classic Lawnmower system could help too ) for this game to reach the level of the other 2 mainline games

so it's just gonna be pvz 1 & 2 that's boring at least pvz 3 is different than the other pvz games if if what you said happenes then pvz 3 is gonna be boring
