You can just palpate them deep enough. Problem solved. If a patient has thick fat tissue, we just need to apply more pressure when palpating the abdomen

Last May 2022 I finally got a dr. at my local surgery filled with bitchy vile attitude dr’s and most the redemption staff bc they are sick of me asking for help to diagnose and for the chronic insomnia and being unable to lay down in 5 years bc my abdomen pulsates in horrific pain more than when sat or stood, I also have inflammation in bowels now as of test last month and a CT scan showed fluid filled bowel loops, swollen lymph nodes at right side of small intestine. Major acid reflux and none of the ppi meds or Peptac/Gavascon does a dam thing I can feel for the red raw pain if I were to lay down just slightly, not one of the 2 crap hospitals have done anything remotely like the USA does as in diagnosing or surgery! I’ve a hiatus hernia found 5 years ago during an Endoscopy where the dr wanted a biopsy telling me I was badly scarred in oesophagus area and I’ve pictures to prove a hole burned through tissue but due to me panicking the lovely good dr I’ve only ever had out of multiple, he requested I come back but when I did he was gone for some strange reason and the new ent was a waste of time, he said in the procedure I’d a bit of a hernia but didn’t write it in my med notes so my dr surgery think I’m lying even though the hospital nurse asked the ent guy and she wrote it on my med notes I was able to take home. Completely useless!

It sounds as though you've suffered a gunshot wound and not noticed. An X-RAY will probably reveal the intact bullet, which can be removed using a local anaesthetic.

Waste of time if there is no presentation of symptoms! So every young woman is asked to lift her jumper so you can palpate for possible unseen and no symptom hernia? Why not just cut every patient up every visit and hand the data to epidemiologists and remains to relatives? Patient is perfectly healthy. But now in jars, trays and specimen tubes. At least get a real patient with ambiguous symptoms!
@marklimbrick I had no symptoms of a hernia and I’m female but nurse practitioner supposedly checked for it in a very inappropriate way like touching private areas without gloves at the time I thought he is a medical professional knows what he is doing but I was wrong and he caused an injury that resulted in swelling and pain for months. I didn’t have a hernia I had all kind of tests done so months later I went to see him again telling him what happened and all the stress he caused me he raised his voice to me and offered some antidepressants.
He was very professional and did no more touching than required for the video, men do not control their state of flaccidity, and it is even possible to have an erection with no sex drive and without being horny. and we certainly do not enjoy accidently exposing something like that
