MIND BLOWING 🤯🤯 Happy 30th Birthday Matthew I myself just had my 69th at the end of August. This video was amazing the quality and shots were breath taking. The Chinook is a BEAST loved all the river crossings and you two always meeting up with a lot of great people on the road. Thanks for another great ADVENTURE Matthew & Stacey for all your hard work creating this awesome movie🎬 adventure. Can't wait for the next one. Thanks from Southern California. As always Stay Safe, Stay Healthy.
Happy belated to you as well! So glad you're enjoying the adventures, we love making these movies and sharing them. Costa Rica has all things we look for as overland travellers.
Thanks for presenting Costa Rica to the world... crazy river crossing man, glad that a local show you the way... you can get in trouble but all good! Nice built!
Suzuki Samurai power all the way!!! That scene gave me goosebumps and encouragement to finish my Samurai engine swap. The best way to spend your birthday is with the stuff you like to do with that great person beside you. Happy 30th Birthday Matt.
Wow, what an icredible location to spend a milestone birthday. Happy Birthday, Dude. The fulfillment of the gallop on the beach had to be even more special than it seemed on video. It's as if each country you visit is even better than the one before. I will also add that both of you seem to get more comfortable with your journey and your smiles continue to grow as you travel. Your choice of conveyance, Sunday, is truly "la casa con corazón de toro". For some reason, I outwardly smile each time I see the roof pop, so thank for including that on every video. Sorry for the jumble of random thoughts, there was just so much about this episode for us, as viewers, to enjoy. Your joy is contagious and brings light to many people.
We really like that slogan for Sunday! ha. Yes there was definitely a lot happening in one episode. It felt like an odyssey on the last day with the bridge and the barge, sunrise to sunset. Thank you for the B-day wishes, and for coming along with us, Phil!!
Not sure what you two are going to do for your 40th Birthdays but can't wait to see!! I remember driving the Monkey Trail 16 years ago and sad that it is no more but it is great to see Costa Rica protecting so much of its natural beauty. Another beautiful video highlighting the kindness of people that "used to be" strangers - I fully understand why they have no problem being so kind to the two of you, safe travels, and as always - much love 💚
SO cool that you got to drive it in its prime! Too bad it's all a golf course now, we'll just have to explore further! We are constantly left in awe of the kindness of our "used to be" strangers
One of your best ones to date, we loved it! Costa Rica is amazing, looks like a great country for overlanding. Looking forward to the next one. Chris & Ange
Costa Rica was one of our favorite places. It's one of the few places we plan to return to. Arenal and Uvita were a couple of our home bases. So you have good taste. 😅 God, that suspension bridge had me trembling for you. You guys are awesome. 😎
I'm surprised at the low viewership. Cinemaphotography is excellent! Your narration is great. What is your goal? If it's a documentary you narrate over then you're golden. If your goal is viewership then IMO you need to add the human experience. I've only heard the two of you speak really. In my travels the best part has always been the people I meet along the way. Your mileage although vast may vary.
Happy Birthday from back home in BC, thanks for another video. Costa Rica is on our bucket list for tropical seaside places to visit and this was more incentive. It was 7° this morning up at 5000' here so fall is in the air. Thanks again and safe travels to you both.
PURA VIDA🤗❣️❣️❣️Love Costa Rica and the people are soooo Friendly♥️❣️We went to Matapaulo into the jungle and experienced large numbers of beautiful animals… and of course Torrential Rains at one point😳 Another time there we got to see the Butterfly and Hummingbird Reserve… The food is grown sustainably and organically and is delish❣️🤗… love San Lusano sauce and Black Beans and Rice: Pico de Gallo-yummmm!! My husband had owned a FICA there outside of San Jose’….
I'm from Costa Rica too, and I also have a Montero Sport 3.2L turbo diesel. I have actually owned 3 Monteros in my life. They were the best offroaders at their time. Remember the Montero Evolution and Dakar? History speaks by itself. I am always traveling to beaches, volcanoes and "jungles" within the country. I love to surf so I am always camping in the beach, and I still don't understand why do people love to overweight their trucks that much. I just added aftermarket elockers, a Robinsons suspension kit, better skid plates, and that's all. I have never needed anything else, even in the worst conditions. Not even a winch. Believe me, keep your trucks light. You don't need all that extra shit you think you do. Your tucks will thank you.
This was such a well done and share of your experiences and worth the two week wait. You guys just keep getting better and better at keeping me excited from my recliner.
Those Pajeros/monteros/shoguns, are underrated in my opinion. After owning a 1991 diesel Pajero, to me, it was far superior to 4Runner from the same year. Hard to say being a Toyota guy, but yeah, unreal overland platform.
Hi Guys , from Victoria here . Wondered if you considered a snorkel on the Chinook but I guess if you went deep enough, it would flood out your home ! lol Beautiful trip and videos. Keep ''em coming! Cheers
Definitely have. Would have to be custom, and would love to have it made from stainless, Aussie style. Not so much for water that deep but cleaner and cooler air. For now the intake is right behind the headlight, so about as good as it get without a snorkel.
Lots of familiar sights in this episode.I will assume the deadline prevented a La Fortuna hot springs visit,Manuel Antonio park and most importantly Ziplines!Love the river crossings.Always sketchy!Pura Vida🤘
Wow! I’m sad it’s over ! But your Video is so Awesome! So well made ! Such large cahones to drive over that Bridge! Thanks so much some of the best footage I’ve ever seen!11
I didn't think that river crossing was possible, great a local showed up and lead the way but still that current was pretty strong looking. Nice video pura vida.
Love your perspectives of all the different countries and locations within, but have been really waiting for your time in Costa Rica as it is where I want to live next for a year or so. Traveling there on September 30th for 10 days just to get a feel for where we would like to locate. Keep up the great work and enjoy every minute🍻
Thank you for taking me a long :) Mad love from the east coast of Canada :) FYI I had to look it up to find out why you can't eat a nipple fruit LOL Can you eat nipple fruit? Nipplefruit Information and Facts Mature Nipplefruit is poisonous and should not be ingested. Unripe Nipplefruit is believed by some to be edible and cooked as a vegetable, but caution should be taken to ensure the fruit is unripe and prepared properly to avoid poisoning.

Was that suspension bridge on the way to Eco chantales? I remember taking a very similar one across in a rental Hilux we were upgraded too 😊 great fun! Great videos guys I am watching a new one everyday 🎉
Panama 🇵🇦 is next I’m exited of seeing what you guys gonna do. I know pretty much all the off road groups in Panama let me know if you guys need anything. Keep up with the great content.
Honduras and Nicaragua? I saw some shorts on Honduras, where's the vids! MITSUBISHI MONTERO!!!! that is what I overland in Spokane Washington. They are really great rigs with a lot of very clever things built in (eg the whole back folds flat into a bed by design). Still missing Honduras and Nicaragua, but so glad to see some Montero love! Edit: AND A SAMURAI! THATS THE OTHER CAR I DRIVE!! both awesome and underated vehicles. What an amazing adventure!
We made a community post discussing Honduras and Nicaragua. We ripped through chasing a deadline in Panama. Yes the Montero is a beast! Wish we had more of them in North America.
Greetings beautiful people thanks for the trip fantastic vista's, just shows how people from all over are willing ta help out ( strange how it seems that only suits want war an disorder) while those of us in favorite T's just ta get along 💯👍🤙🖖
I was just watching Dirt Lifestyle and he was saying that when fording creeks/rivers, it's better to head down stream if possible due to the tendency to float. Conversely heading up stream has a tendency to push the vehicle down.
Indeed! As you noticed that's exactly what the little samurai did, and the current picked him up for a moment! I would not want to drive that one up stream!
Buenísimo video 😃👍… sólo una cosa: está prohibido ingresar a las playas en carro, lo que sucede es que es imposible hacerlo 100% efectivo por razones obvias. Por favor consideren el respeto y el cuidado por la naturaleza 🙏. Pura vida 🙌😃

Yeah what happened to Nicaragua?? I was waiting for the Nicaragua video .
