i listened to it for about a month i made up my mind on what kind of apartment i wanted: 1 bedroom thats $550 or less. The apartment i wanted was a no go BUT something better came along. I had to let go. after that 1 month of listening i stopped listening to it and made it up in my mind that im moving soon and it got to the point where it just felt as if it was legit lol. But i stopped looking for apartments and just knew that it was coming to me and a month later my friend told me theres an apartment for $420 and its one bedroom and we checked it out and i took it that day. letting go and just believing it will happen and not worry about when and how is the biggest thing i learned

The very first place I saw next was in a hidden sort of old neighborhood that no one ever talks about and the housing is stunning and well-maintained despite being fairly low middle class. My new apt is so big and sunny, I feel almost guilty for having so much space to myself.
Edit: I also found my place listed by the owner and no brokers or extra fees, which was nice. I live in NYC, where the real estate market is brutal.
