Changing a bucket edge and drilling and skimming baler flywheel

- Two jobs in this video.
Still not feeling fantastic so a bit of a steady week.
First job was nice and easy, replacing a wear edge on a bucket. Cut off with the plasma cutter, cleaned up with the grinder and then weld the new edge on. Bit of manipulation needed to keep it straight.
Next job was to sort out another flywheel for a baler. The shear bolt bush hole was to drill out and a new steel bush was made to hold the replaceable hardened bush. The surface was also to skim in the milling machine to repair the damage surface.
Hope you enjoyed the video.
Thanks for watching!
That reaction to the viewer comment was gold.
Thanks for the great RUclips content.
Yes; simple answer is the best answer.
Priceless…😂😂😂- Michael - Leicester
excellent! to the point, love it. Those armchair experts perhaps could make themselves an....armchair.
It’s a real pain when a tapped hole turns out skewed, and anything you do to make sure it’s properly vertical is time well spent. - it shows you care and it shows you want the job done right. Perfect reaction 😂😂
100%!! Don't you just love it when these armchair machinist and technicians tell professionals how to do their jobs!?!?
With over 40 years experience in the building and construction industry I'm constantly amazed how many people tell me they can do the job faster, better and cheaper than me, that is until they actually have to do the work. It's the little details that get you. Hope you feel better soon.
I wish I had his shop😊
@@scotthultin7769 I've got 'new table envy'... 🤩
I've learned that you don't pay professionals to do the easy stuff - you pay professionals because they know what to do if everything goes horribly wrong. Ask me how I know! 😂
Great Job as usual!!!!
100%!! Don't you just love it when these armchair machinist and technicians tell professionals how to do their jobs!?!?
Best answer to a comment I've seen in years - I almost had a screen/coffee incident.
Hope you feel better soon.
Hey, Oliver. Fix one flywheel and the customer is so pleased, he brings five more...a testament to the quality of your work. Nice. And that's one reason you now have 50,000 subscribers. Congratulations and well done, mate. Get some rest and we'll see you next Sunday. Cheers.
Your reaction to the viewer comment was more considered than my reaction would have been. Can't have been a subscriber who has watched your work for some time!! Hope you feel better soon 👍👍
I loved the two fingers & the raspberry to the hater . 😂 Made my day
Great job on baler flywheel and priceless reaction to viewer comment
Hi Oliver, you don’t patch it up, you repair it, better than when it was factory fresh! Looking forward to your next videos!
Great, follow-up to viewers comment.
Ya betcha! 👍👍
Keeping thread cutter perpendicular is very important, looks professional too, rather than half cocked thread.
Loved the response 😁
Yeah, nobody likes their cocks half threaded……..I mean threads half cocked. 😂
Hi Oliver😊, nice job on the bucket mate, and the flywheel repair top notch engineering, the fact that they've brought you more work speaks wonders for the service and reputation your building whith your customers, you'll never be short of work Oliver. Thanks for another interesting video, and I hope your feeling better soon mate, Atb, Stuart UK.
I love having my coffee with Oliver on Sunday morning. You make proper repairs for your customers that actually hold. Hopefully, you are feeling better soon, and more work rolls in.
I really enjoy watching you work Oliver, It is always the best possible job for the customer, good commentary explaining what you are thinking and why you feel that this is the best way to do the job, and best of all, no silly music, hope you feel better soon.
Cracking video again! Loved the response 1:00:30 Best answer! That fabrication table is perfect for a bucket edge job. Nice and straight. !
Great videos,
Grand jobs Ollie. Repeat customers is always a good sign that you're meeting or exceeding their expectations.
Nothing is a waste of time if it makes your life easier....another good vid mate
Outstanding craftsmanship, always doing a good job.
As said by another your reaction to a particular comment was brillient. So refreshing
Flipping the V to your detractors! Way to go Ollie!
That table . Certainly helped you out no end with that bucket edge replacement.
And your profile cutter .
Top job as always 👍
That table is awesome and I am so jealous! Of course it would take up half my shop, but still....
These flywheels look quite heavy. An overhead crane would be useful. quite an investment but not an unnecessary luxury. I like the way you approach these jobs, well thought out yet simple in a way. Nice video again!
Wenn ein Gabelstapler die Teile bewegen kann, ist alles machbar.
Send him the money, Maybe that will do it.
That table is a good investment
Thanks Oliver , another great video. I got my Dirty Hands Clean Money plaque yesterday it’s brilliant , many thanks 😊
Get better soon Oliver !!!
Thanks for bringing us along! Hope you are feeling 100% soon.
Great job Olivier well done, congratulations and regards from the Netherlands.
Congratulation's on reaching 50,000 subscribers. You deserve them. As always a grand job. Well Done from SE Northumberland.
Not having a giant lathe to do the flywheel, the mill did the job nicely. Must be a happy customer with repeat jobs coming in.
That wast of time shop made tool is sure saving a lot of time. cheers
Great job on the flywheel. Here's 5 more. ❤❤❤
Another one bite's the dust. Great job, enjoyed watching. Take care
Another great video, cracking work as usual, Ollie
Hi Ollie , sorry to hear your not feeling to special , tis the weather , that gets you down
Top job as always , good viewing . 👍
Hi Oliver,, another great video, very entertaining, I’ve never been an engineer but what I like about watching you is the amount of trouble you go to to get the job done right, wishing you well, take care.
Mr Snowball! Thank you, and I hope you feel better.
Hi Oliver, nice to see a piece of equipment being repaired/maintained before it's absolutely ruined! 😊
Another great video, your work ethics are amazing Oliver. Hope you feel better and congratulations on your 50 thousand subscribers, I have been here from the beginning cheers!
Hope you feel better soon I was the same way last week. Congratulations on 50K hope you get to 100 soon so you get your play button. Thanks for taking the time to make us a video
He could easy make his own play button. Better than the original
A bit unwell does not hinder a well done job, best wishes for getting back to 117%
pure legend mate.love watching how you overcome things
Get well soon Oliver. Another great video - thank you!
Well said Oli, reference threading aid. You do a great job. Thank you.
Lovely work quality will always be an investment of your time. Generally people who use the phrase waste of time are usually describing themselves. 😊
Nice job mate. The bucket repair although we have seen you do them before, everyone is slightly different so it is worth watching. The fly wheel is designed well with the sheer pin breaking before causing damage to the baler. On some of our industrial gearboxes we had to make them the weak link, so not to cause damage to a multi-million pound installation. It was 99% of the time me that had to go and fix them, even on Christmas eve. Still that's life. Good post, thank you 👍
Quite a lot of work fitting a bucket edge and getting it straight. Top job as usual, even with a very lightly built bucket that had issues.
thanks for sharing en get well soon.
cheers
ben
Another job well done. Take care of yourself !
Hi hope you are feeling better ! self employed is hard when you feeling rough !!! good job ,repeat work is always gets easer and you learn tricks to make it go faster and better ,( like making that centering tool) Keep up the good work .Farmer,s boy Cornwall
Always enjoy your videos you do great work for your customers.
Well done on 50,000 subscriptions, in about a year is impressive.
I have a couple of the same ratchet blocks as the one you used. I got them from work about 30 years ago, when the lifting equipment insurance inspector condemned them to the scrap skip, due to twisted chains and missing throat latches. They have been very useful over the years, although with my advancing years, they are getting a bit numb and heavy to use.
Thanks!
This one was my grandads. Nice to remember him everytime I use it.
Another great video Ollie !
Love the Hoodie I bought last week much better than last one I got! Thanks for todays work. Very nice work on cutting edge, and the flywheel reskim, as usual, to your normal (high) standards. One thing I do love watching, is your machining skills on whatever job or machine, you may well be self taught, but you are very good at what you do! Thanks and look forward to next week. PS hope you feel better before next week. Ian.
A very good fix on the flywheel well thought out
Excellent job man, great video, keep'um coming..
Dog and wedge would also work really well to get that cutting edge into place. Fantastic, simple tool.
Thanks for this weeks work update, hope you feel better soon. Brian from South Yorkshire
Good on ya I’m glad you’re stuck it up the person who told you how to do things. People just have to be know it all don’t they . Good to see you stick it up for yourself.😮
great to watch again oliver thank you
Keyboard warrior salute….love it!!
Yet more excellentwork at the usual high quality
i hope you get to feeling better soon. thanks again for the good show. see you next week, i hope.
My back aches just watching you! Take care.
Cheers for the video, hope you feel better soon. 👍
When I’ve welded outside the ultra violet light produced by the welding process has attracted butterflies, moths, bees and flies all became rather crispy
Hope you feel better soon mate.
Feel better Mate.
The Snowball raspberry was priceless ✌️
Loved the two finger salute
Keep them coming. Roll on 100 000 subscribers.
Awesome job I think I haven't seen the video you mention but it was interesting the way that fly wheel works.
50k Oliver, what a great achievement. You deserve it all. Put a couple of plug hole welds in those support fishplates move the stress about a bit. Ex loctite employee here, put the retaining compound on both components so it wipes in as you assemble, rough finish better than polished.
Awesome as usual! Great work . Just the little jobs are what pays the bills 😊. Very interesting little tricks! Have a great week ,see you next week!!!😊😊
I enjoy watching your videos, don't let the internet trolls get to you !
Interesting work well done thanks.
Feel better soon mate, them boring and facing heads are cracking bits of kit, have a great weekend, ta for sharing 🎉
Nice work Olli. The tap alignment tool is a must have. Totally sucks to get a tap started crooked. The guy who commented on you wasting time making the tool doesn't know what he's talking about. hope you feel better soon. Cheers from Texas,USA
Gutted You Still Not Feelin 100% Chap ... Hope You Feel Better Soon ... Thank You Kindly For Still Doing A Video ... I Just Watched You Previous baler flywheel Video Last Night ... Beautiful Job ... No Wounder You Got More To Do The Same...
peace
Nice work again Oliver !
Thank you for your video.
It’s always nice when you prove someone wrong then you have made something you will use again and again even if you don’t use it in months
Fantastic Oliver… keep up the great work… Bigger workshop soon🤔
Great video and love the up yours mate 🤣🤣
Nice result mate.
Nice work done !
Good Job Oliver, thank you for posting. I noted back in the day on the small International Balers, repeated failures of the Shear Bolt would make the Fly Wheel un-useable without repairs as you have carried out on that one.
Great job .
Awesome job Sir!
Great work as always,
Love the fingers to the know all's.
1,485 👍's up SBE thank you for sharing 🤗
Always great videos 👍🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Fantastic work as always and congratulations on 50k subs 🎉

Hope you get better soon 🤙🤙🤙 love the videos
Congrats on 50k, no doubt you'll see 100k very soon 👍🎉
Hope so!
What you could do with is an overhead crane I know uplifted Andy but the amount of work that you do you could manufacture yourself an overhead crane. I hope you do get one like watching your channel. You’re very good at what you do.
Yay another Oliver video. From kiwi land
Hi My Dear Friend Very Very Great Job Sir ❤❤❤❤❤
Great jobs.
Great job Oliver....Lovin the channel👍🏻....Some people! 🙄
Good work.
