I love clock because I can actually win at competitions when competing clock. In most competitions where I live no more than 10 people participate clock so it's easy to win if u average around sub 10 xD.

This is great, but so sad. I’ve been through war with my Rubik’s brand. When you make such a bad puzzle so good on your own, you really get an emotional reason not to switch.

I own an original 80's clock from when I was a kid. I'd love to play around with it again but it's become so stiff, it's nearly impossible to turn the dials. What can I do to fix that?

I'm pretty new to cubing still (got my first cube for Christmas and somehow I have cubes all over my desk now lol) but I bought one of the red versions of this clock just yesterday because SCS still had them?! … The black and white doesn't work well for me with my vision impairment, but the red one looks smexy af, and I thought I'd missed my chance to get them from The Cubicle. I'm VERY excited by this puzzle, and apparently its the event all the parents and whatnot do, so … more my age peers. 🤣
I've been wanting to see this puzzle taken apart. Not really sure why people don't like doing clock though. I guess because it's not a cube?

should I get this one, the QiYi clock, or the Shengshou clock? I have never touched a clock before and I don't know if I'm going to like it so I don't want to spend too much if the shengshou is still good
If all you want is a clock, the ShengShou is fine. But if you're serious about it and want one that turns good, the QiYi is very much worth it.

Looks like the cubilcle.com is a good store and very friendly to you.
I feel like if any company was going to attempt to be better, the only things they could do is make the pins (and this is the wording I'll use for it) "gear cut". (This is the same as corner cutting but for the gears). They would also probably do 4 magnets or more per circle to have the gears snap much easier. Another thing is making the pins free spinning. This is so you could push up and down while spinning the gears. (You can do this now, but you'll feel the pin move while you push.
I believe this (and just overall lubing) would be the only thing other companies could do to make it "better". Altho is it bad I'd like to see a 4x4 or even a 5x5 clock?

Hang on. 2 faces, 12 clocks on each and 9 magnets per clock right? Correct me if I am wrong but that should be 2 x 12 x 9 magnets. And that is equal to 216. If I am correct, then why does Alex say there are 204?
There are 9 clocks not 12, and 12 magnets per clock not 9, and there are 2 magnets per clock per side, so the equation should be: 9x12x2x(2x2x9).
Which can be reduced to 9x12x(2^3)x9, and 9x9=81, so then it is 81x12x(2^3) which 2^3=8, so it is 81x12x8 and 12x8=96 so it is 81x96 which is 7776 which has to be wrong.
Where we went wrong is in the 9x12x2x(2x2x9) equation, where we should have also done some adding to make it look like this:
9x12x2+(2x2x9) which we can mostly do the same logic:
2x2=4: 9x12x2+(4x9)
4x9=36 9x12x2+36
12x2=24 9x24+36
9x24=216 216+36
216+36=252
So, 252 is our magnet answer.
