- On the sixth anniversary of Christopher Laurie going to heaven, Pastor Greg gives us this message about heaven. Colossians 3:1-2 tells us to set our minds on things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Pastor Greg tells us practical ways we can do that, what heaven is like, what our heavenly bodies will be like, what we will do in heaven, and things that keep us "earthbound."
when I was a little boy I used to fall asleep crying out to Jesus, begging him to let me come home. Actually, I still do that, I was 3 when I became a Christian, I'm almost 33 now. I want to go home

Thank you for sharing your wisdom. My 21 year old son went to heaven just over a year ago. Your biblical perspective keeps me from going insane. I especially love how you say that “we’ll pick up right where we left off”. My son always said at bedtime , “I’ll see you in the morning”.
My wife & I clutch onto God’s promises. I pray every day that today will be the day that we’re carried home to Jesus to be with our precious son again.

I lost my baby girl 32 week of pregnancy in 1995 and recently lost my beautiful loving husband of 44yr in March of 2019 sudden death of cardiac arrest. Married only three short beautiful years. Iv gone through so much more befor the recent death of my husband and really been having a very very hard time living without him. Thank you pastor Greg. Iv always been a follower of Christ and glade to know my husband believe in Christ as well. I can't Waite to be reunited with him and my baby girl. Iv been consistent in witnessing to my three adult children from my frist marriage and have been setting my thoughts and heart for eternity with the Lord and family who are believers. Thank you so much. My heart and spirit needed to hear this again! I will continue to replay this and share with family and friends.

God blessed me with a vision when i told him that a city of gold wouldn't be all that i wanted. The vision was one that i would never want to miss. There will be a beautiful outdoor environment with all animals at peace with beautiful mountains and a river filled with fish and the greenest grass i have ever seen. I am eager. Thank you so much for this message. I lost my son 4 years ago at the age of 12 due to cancer. People don't understand the grief I'm going through because it's been so long. I can't wait to go to heaven even more. I pray for the rapture to happen to see my baby again.

I hear u talk about your son and my heart goes out for u and your wife. My sister had a daughter who died and this child was just like my daughter. Me and my mother raised her together and when she died it was like my own child die. When they buried her they buried me it has left me hollow inside. I was so mad and I was left totally hollow I felt nothing. God's Love truly brought me through it. Every Holiday and every time her Birthday comes around its a very hard day. Much prayer for u my friend .
Heaven 💫 is such a wonderful place to think about, but goin to Heaven and being with the Holy Father ☝🏼 is even more amazing to think about 🙌🏼 🙋🏼♀️
And I am that bad person and did too many horrible things in my life but I come to senses after the operation 3months ago that I was nearly die experiencing is wake up calls for me and I confessed my sin to God with heart felt sorry to him and promised to him I’ll never do again and I can really feel it in my heart that he is forgiven me and that he was waiting me for and I feel peaceful and happiness in my heart is every single day and even I have to go two more major operations needed to go but I don’t worried about it anymore because I give him all my life now. And I know everything is going to be great 👍 and my new life will be splendid and that operation will be successful and I will be praise 👏 to God every day of my life and hours and second too.....🙏🙏✝️😇 until he's coming back

My daughter and grandson died in a car accident just before Christmas 2013 - I miss them still, hugging them in my dreams, to this day!
I remember that day pastor Greg. I couldn't believe it. I've known Greg since 1991 and feel like he's been a great friend and encourager in my life. I was broken hearted.

I can relate lost my son 23 yrs ago and the pain is with me still,. I put a verse on his head stone that goes. in our hearts your just away until we meet another day. Won't for get the times we shared because we knew how much you care. I hated god for taking him from me. then 6 yrs ago I lost my husband suddenly too,. I felt cheated that I was stuck here alone and my best friend died and left me with the problems of his parents foreclosing on our home, I finally realized I had no friends that I could talk to. no family I could reach out to. I turned back to Christ. I'm an Ex catholic and I know nothing about the bible or how to use it so I listen to you and another gentleman on AOC and things are starting to make sense to me. My heart goes out to all that Have felt this kind of loss

The Apostle Paul stated"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,neither have entered into the heart of man,the things which God hath prepared for them that love HIM."1Corinthians 2:9! Can the same apply to those who hate The Lord! My husband died three weeks ago. He was only 48 years old. I will see him again. That is the only way I can keep going.

I lost my son on January 3rd 2020 to suicide i know the feeling ,I needed this messege bad ,,he was saved when he was younger but had started drinking ,,,if I just knew for sure he was in heaven ,only God knows But I wish I knew for sure,I still pray for his soul and spirit,I miss him every second of everyday..
Glen, I can relate to your fear. Although I did not lose my 30 year old son to suicide, I was always worried I would. Although I know he was saved, when he returned from Afganistan, he was battling severe ptsd. I could not get him into counselling but I could get him to attend church activities with me. He still struggled with the carnal side still trying to ease the pain he carried. He died last year from injuries sustained in a motorcycle incident. But each time the enemy tries to whisper to me the same thing he whispers to you.... God interrupts and tells me my son is with him and is doing just fine. And...... he says he'll keep telling me as long as I need to hear it. Try to draw closer to God, he'll talk to you too.
I lost my cousin today. I had met him for the first time just a few years ago

Easter challenges me because that was the day my mom went to heaven. Easter 2018. Also, she passed on April fools day. I take that Bible vs “God chose the foolish to confound the wise” very seriously now more than ever. I look forward to seeing my mom again more than words.

I have not found any scripture in the Holy Bible that says anyone is going to heaven. The gospel message is saved (eternal life) or perish. Man sinned and death came by sin. Death is a punishment for sin. Jesus took that sin to give us back life. At the resurrection we will be brought back to life. That is the story not going to heaven.
You don't have to cut grass no it only gets ankle high there..I had a vision of heaven.
How can you let this man keep preaching. He is no comfort to those who have a loved one. He makes me want to die by Suicide like my 34 year daughter did because she couldn’t tolerate her pain from colon disease and prescribed drugs. I. Believe and prayed constantly for her healing, but God chose a horror story for me
Carol I can tell you are hurting deeply and you are taking it out on Greg and you are blaming God for what happened. Have faith and know we don’t have all the details but know that everything God does is for our good. He is trying to bring you closer to him and you are resisting. Let him bring you closer to him and he will comfort you. I will pray for you😇🙏

Pastor Greg Laurie lost his son tragically too. I am sorry what happened to your daughter. I'm not trying to compete with you but I lost my cousin recently by suicide too. Know that your brothers and sisters in Christ are here for you and are praying for you. This world is terrible but we have the hope of Jesus. Praying for you. Know that you are loved and never alone. Don't let the devil come in between you and your Heavenly Father. The devil loves to really push us down when we are going through a tragedy because he knows we are very vulnerable now. Cling to Jesus ❤

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, Heaven could be worse than Hell, after you have settled into your new mansion in Heaven there are a few things to consider, first there is no sin and no temptation, there can be no sex because sex leads to temptation and sin, Earthly desires will not exist, no sex = no new children, the joys and dramas of children for young couples will be lost, everything will be pure, that means all books, TV, movies, plays etc. will have no crime, no sex, no sin, nothing irreligious at all, Entertainment cannot exist without these elements, imagine the Daily News, "Nothing happened at all today, everybody was happy, we all prayed, tune in tomorrow for more of the same" Of course there will be bible reading classes but after 100 years of these it would drive a person to drink, DRINK? sorry no alcohol in Heaven because booze leads to sin, fighting etc. There are no politics in Heaven, politics leads to dissension and unhappiness, Jesus makes all the decisions and you cannot disagree or question any of his decisions, Everybody in Heaven is deliriously happy and they all get along with each other, what seems perfectly right to one person cannot be an affront to another otherwise there would be disagreement, disagreement leads to violence, any arguments would be adjudicated by Jesus and the person at fault, unless he/she admitted their error would be banished to Hell. No sport in Heaven, sport is always full of controversy and conflict so no sport allowed, even a friendly non gambling game of poker could lead to problems. All these happy people in Heaven will continue to be happy for eternity, forever, perpetuity without any of the sinful activities that tempted them when they lived in the world, THINGS THAT WILL NOT EXIST IN HEAVEN - Sin and temptation, sex, new children, books, TV, movies, plays, alcohol, any stimulants, politics, disagreements, sport, pets. Of course there is always gardening, that is harmless but after 500 years or so this activity would become a little wearing, Tending the sheep? sorry no animals in Heaven, people only keep animals for food, warmth and companionship, everything in Heaven is provided by God, food, clothes etc. and if you were permitted to keep companion animals sooner or later these would bring you into conflict with neighbors and this won`t be allowed in Heaven, No fights, no wars and everybody is happy sitting down, weaving their baskets and singing hymns, what a wonderful future Christians look forward to and I am really sorry that I`m headed for Hell, WHOA!! Both places are as bad as each other, both would lead to insanity for the residents, WHAT HAVE WE GOT OURSELVES INTO ? ? ?

@@deloresm7494 Hello Delores, I have written about Heaven based on what has been told to me by Christians and some of them claim to have visited Heaven and even to have spoken to the Skydaddy, of course their musings are fanciful and I believe based on dreams which they can't differentiate from reality, now to Hell - apparently I am going to suffer extreme agony forever and according to your version "I will be eaten alive", after the Demons have consumed me I presume that I will be made whole again just to suffer more pain, this would be terrible for the first 100 years or so then I would begin to become used to it, within the next 500 years I would start to enjoy it and then it would become my normal environment, when I look up into heaven from down below and I see all of those poor Christians walking around in circles and mumbling inanities to themselves, totally insane from boredom, I would be very sorry for them and I would petition Satan to allow them to have vacations in Hell just to give them a change of scenery and a chance to bring their thoughts back into perspective.
