Helpful and timely info., thank you! There are so many trimmers to choose from out there. I have 3 different sizes, all with pros and cons depending on the project needs, convenience ( can keep the small one close at hand , big plus) and brand. Your info was practical and useful, TY! 🧑🏼🎨😀
Hi Susan! I went on the Tonic website and didn't find anything that mentioned that it is self-sharpening, so I'm going to say it is not. They do sell replacement blades which further makes me believe that it isn't self-sharpening. However, I have been using the same blade on thick cardstock for a while now and haven't needed to replace it yet! The guillotine trimmer is self-sharpening I believe and there's larger sizes if that's what your looking for!

Is the rotary trimmer blade self-sharpening?
