Moved there in 1989...it was beautiful. pretty golf course across the street, lots of ground owls. Left in 2006 and came back in 2014. The place was very different. So much more built up. New housing projects everywhere. The golf course is gone and when I left it was a wilderness back there. Prices are so different, of course, like everywhere. Some beautiful areas. Crowded.
A must to rent first with some view of water or marina before we buy, Cat friendly is important. Prefer clean, up-to-date house. Is there a market? 2/2&half or 3/3, office or loft area, pool optional, possible rent to buy.

yeah I have issues w/florida who don't ....once u lived there then u know the difference. first off florida is not the citrus state ..california is .florida is the cattle state not texas although texas is known as the longhorn state .mostly florida is known for its sandy beaches ,palmettoes , and lots of fishing and watersports nice .did you know florida is the only state that has been under 19 different flags . personally I like almost any part of florida but the panhandle is my fav in and around betw.tampa and orlando yep. I hav lived in jacksonville and miami and key west while in the navy also was stationed there. nowhere do you have the amount of beaches and sand dunes rivers and islands like you have in florida.you have to be alert while outdoors esp.w/o a guide or a person who has intimate knowledge of the terrain etc.do your research first then go camping hiking fishing etc. I've been very lucky playing with gators and snakes since I was a kid never got bit or eaten :) I hate the mosquitoes but they seem to love me ....that's another thing about the insects yeah florida has its share of insects everything from bees and wasps to ants and yeah spiders . the most fun to be had is to have a family and growing up working going to school and all that .I miss florida so every few years I go back ..sigh :( as I'm writing this I am in ny ..
A good Realtor can help you not get bunt, another good reason to have a professional on your side. Defective Drywall is usually easy to spot and even those are almost doubled in price since the bottom! 90 new construction permits last month...take a look at what $80,000 buys you today vs a year ago. The gap between a resale and a new home is closing fast! Get off the fence and get your spot in the Sunshine State, SOON!

Just about every home has already been repaired, and they were less than 1% of all homes to begin with. Let's not exaggerate.
