I will always view Las Vegas as a adult playground. You have circus circus and Excalibur. At 4seasons I don't pay 950 dollars to have screaming kids around .
I wonder if part of the reason that pools aren't open later is because when people are at pools they are not spending money in the casinos. Maybe it's all about money?
Yes, definitely kid friendly, but with just about any other tourist destination, there are places less or more friendly. This got me thinking the first time I went to Las Vegas. I think I was 6. My parents drove us all (me and my siblings) to Las Vegas from where we lived in L.A. We went to the Sahara Hotel. From what I remember I don't think I ever left the hotel. I remember room service for breakfast in the hotel room, eating downstairs in a restaurant, plus being by the pool. I think that was it, but to me, this was fun. This was before the strip became what it is today.
I will say TownSquare is pretty Kid-Centric. I just helped on a Dino-Themed Exhibit/Museum called Dinosaur Outpost, and I hope more stuff like this comes around.
What I’m most concerned about is the hidden fees. Resort fees. Parking fees Strip fees ( I kid you not some places Charge a Las Vegas strip fee). Nobody likes being taken for a ride. Just tell us the price first. Imagine going to inNOut and they said -there’s a drive through fee but don’t disclose it till after you placed your order.
Thank you this is really insightful. I’ve been once before but we’re looking to take our child when his 3-4. We are planning to use Vegas as a hub to visit national parks (Zion, Death Valley, gran canyon..etc) in vegas I think it will just be pool time and shows
I firmly believe kids shoukd not be brought to Vegas. Why??? There are hundreds of other places nationwide for families. The fact that it's being debated is the answer in itself. Kids stay home!! Go to Disney, Universal, Orlando, and any other beach. At least they are steered to Circus Circus and Excalibur where I'd NEVER be anyway.
I believe this myself!!! We did the Disney thing for 5 years straight, we have did Pigeon forge/Gatlinburg, Orange beach. People make your vacations kid friendly til they are older. Vegas is for grown ups! Just wait til they are older . Just cause u want to go doesnt mean you should go .
@@CasinoMoney2000 lol Our childhood is not to b questioned. What should b is Adults taking children to a place with scantily clad women, homeless people , people on drugs and alcohol . Why do adults nowadays not keep things child friendly til they come of age. Not hard really just go when they are older.why the rush to introduce them to unsavory things.
@@SpankySimpson lol hun I’m very happy ty for assuming my mental state. I just want children to remain children til they are of age. Thats being a good parent (most dont get this they do what they want regardless of the child)?
I've been taking my 15 year old to Vegas since he was born, we try to go every summer. Since Vegas is constantly changing usually a few months before we go I join several Face book Vegas groups to ask questions, and 80 % of the members trash talk people when they mention bringing kids to Vegas, it gets soooooo annoying I usually end up leaving the group. Don't know why people have to be so rude when it comes to kids in Vegas. When we went last summer and stayed at MGM, only one time we got barked at by security about my son being on the casino floor and that was at Excalibur.
Cause lets see drinking (drunk people), half dressed show girls, high people, people are other drugs, homeless people . I mean I would never take my child to a place with grown up activities. Why cant people wait til they are older. Like drinking age. They cant b on the casino floor/at a bar. They will grow up soon enough.
I went to Vegas back in 2021. Did not notice any porn slappers and wasn't given any cards. Compare that to my last trip in the 90's, being handed a card with a nude woman as an 8-year-old.
The pools just opened duh it’s only April still spring just bc you had a couple of nice days dosent mean it’s there to stay yet if it’s May Memorial Day true summer and continuing on they are going to have longer hours it’s obvious I can’t even believe you said this it’s not like you were there in July etc !!!
Hi legend! LOVE your videos, so informative! A quick question, what light weight travel pram do you use/recommend? Currently on the hunt for one for our 1 year old! Thanks in advance Chris, from an avid fan of yours in Australia!

I agree!
Last I checked my 13 year old and 15 year old are still considered children but they haven't been "screaming kids" for at least 10 years
Funny you mention Four Seasons because as a hotel brand they actually lean heavily in to being a kid friendly chain
Exactly I want to go somewhere adult without children. My son is grown 26 and he doesnt even want to see the stuff on the strip

Horseshoe/Ballys great for kids since they have an Arcade
Thanks for the info, Chris! We're all kids at heart 😃❤️😉 Lol! 😊
So true!
I took my 12 year old there and it was fine. We did not gamble at all and spent most time shopping or outside of Vegas in the deserts
Excellent!

Great information! Thanks for the info + video!
My pleasure Jimmy!

Thanks for those two suggestions!
9-6 is a nine hour shift allowing them to cover breaks and lunches with a single shift of staff and not need to employ to cover multiple shifts
Wow I live in Orange County California too! I know this video is so interesting 🎉❤

Agreed.. the hidden fees have gotten ridiculous
Love this channel since the begining..

Makes sense Viper.. Vegas is a great base for the national parks in the region
In the late 90's the Sahara had a low rate balcony room, and there was a water park south of it. City Hall promised a new water park in a few years.
I miss the water park!
😭 Awwwww I missed it? 😭
Vdara is a nice family-friendly hotel, non-smoking, no casino and larger rooms
Thanks for the tip Jim!
Always a great video. Did you see (or planning to do) any Cirque du Soleil show? Next time we will try to see "O" or "ka" with our daughters.
Thanks Gilberto! No.. we have done a Cirque show recently.. probably should put that on the list for a future visit
I think the square sicilian at NYNY is the best pizza in Vegas!
I like it too! 😀

Hi Chris, Are they still allow people to drink beer while walking on the strip?
Yup

True….we actually got heckled by other Vegas guests about the kids w us while out walking the strip!!!

Simply….no.

Been there plenty of times in July and found the pools STILL close at 6pm
The monks don't make sense. This is the Vegas strip. What are you even doing here??

Hi Rhysmax... We use the Ergobaby Metro+ -- the prices of it are reasonable in the USA.. They might be too expensive in Australia
