I love Taeyeon as a person, that's for sure. But I also respect and admire her as a singer, an artist. She is really someone who takes pride in her singing and her craft. She takes the effort to sing live for almost every song in a concert for her fans, I think that's just amazing. There are so many people who would lipsync in a concert but not Taeyeon, she's that confident with her voice. Taeyeon's voice is so healing and she takes so much pride in her singing, that's why everyone would pay to watch her sing.

But the Taeyeon that stands before us now, is like a butterfly that has fully emerged from it's past self. I saw Taeyeon live today at Singapore for 's... Taeyeon concert and I fully understood her feelings when she said she worked so hard for this concert. She has finally made her way to the singer she always wanted to be, singing live with a capable band and improvising on the spot. Behind all that glitter and gold, I truly am able to comprehend how much she has improved as a singer and a musician. I totally agree with you! (I don't like the expression of "eating CDs" btw, since I believe that a good singer should be someone who sings with fresh emotion and feeling everytime, instead of copying themselves.) Taeyeon has really surpassed whom she used to be, a main vocal of an idol group, to become a genuine singer by every meaning. Her performances surprise me everytime, even when her physhical condition was not really good. I feel so lucky to have witnessed her improvement, both technique-wise and her ability to own the stage.
