I spent my 20's alienating myself, being lonely, confused, jealous, bitter, you name it. Now that I'm older I can't remember what I was so pissed off about. I should have been ecstatic to be youthful and still have my friends and family around me. I've gotta keep pushing forward until I push through to something better because I'm a survivor.. it's hard staying positive in a world that has become so negative, a world that seems to be knocking people further down the rabbit hole instead of lifting us up as a whole.. Music has become my outlet anymore because the ones I thought had my back were the ones putting a knife to it.. music like this and people like you, strangers with words of encouragement and wisdom that keep my momentum moving forward especially when I won't look back! I may not be the person I once was, a person who would help anyone with anything at any time.. so much so a person I thought was my friend once told me that's why I was put on this earth, my calling, to help others, be that shoulder for someone to cry on.. I had sit thru countless hours of arguing and crying and drunk fights all the way up till I was 17 when I was about 10 or younger. Never had friends to talk to or nothing and was always poor. Was bullied and listening to this song connects a lot.
For whatever reason, the melody of this song, dude’s voice and what he’s saying just fits where my head is at. It’s never in a particularly great place, depression kicks my ass most days, but this song makes it feel like it’s alright to feel a little down.

I lost my youngest son in 2019 , he was 2 weeks shy of his 25th birthday. I had a conversation with him 3 days prior to his passing, and sadly this is what he was trying to tell me all along , but I subconsciously didn’t want to hear it and little did I know he would be gone a few days later! I thank you from deep down in my soul for this song , it eerily reminds me of the words he said, because I possibly could have intervened had I been listening with my heart. I love this song because it makes me think of my boy Jordan! Still grieving and still dealing with my demons. . .

@LoganMichael I lost my middle son to suicide on February 6, 2023. When I hear your song I’m reminded of the pain he suffered with. I wish I could have taken away all his pain. It’s horrible how your mind can make you feel so worthless. Thank you for putting this out there.

I’m in tears as I write to you I’m a surviver of suicidal attempts those of us that walk this dark road only understand the pain that drove us to try and end our life’s im in a new path looking for those lost souls trying to save one person at time , with words of encouragement and in time just hanging out or just sit there and Give a shoulder to cry as I read the comments I realize that there is 1000s of us walking through this dark road I pray to God to give you the strength to continue in your painful path

My fiancé sent me this song not long before he passed away… it crushes me. He said it resonated so deeply with him & all of his brokenness and pain of his past. It’s a beautiful song, even in such a deeply sad way… and it especially hurts my heart thinking of him and his accident.

I lost my youngest son in 2019 , he was 2 weeks shy of his 25th birthday. I had a conversation with him 3 days prior to his passing, and sadly this is what he was trying to tell me all along , but I subconsciously didn’t want to hear it and little did I know he would be gone a few days later! I thank you from deep down in my soul for this song , it eerily reminds me of the words he said, because I possibly could have intervened had I been listening with my heart. I love this song because it makes me think of my boy Jordan! Still grieving and still dealing with my demons. . .
