This version of abuela seems a lot more evil than the movie version. The problem wasn't that abuela was mean or actively abusive, it's that she didn't realize how unreasonable her standards were.
still gives her no right to be like that.. I find it annoying how Disney immediately made them forgive her for it, and I believe that Bruno deserved a revenge arc against those that pushed him away
