I remember bending a moped/scooter frame and the force it took to bend it back made you think it was witchcraft that must have bent it in the first place.
The drag rail is weak as fuck and already heavy, if they add the Ducati motor to it, it will go slower than the cart it is in and they will have to add more steel to make it safe.
@@robmanueb. the Ducati has a lot more power than the old predator plus it has a 2 speed transmission. They can re gear it and go way faster than the rail has ever gone.
@@robmanueb. they put a 50 horse engine on a lawnmower and an 80 horse engine on a decades old gocart chaisis. do you really think the rail will be more dangerous then the ducarty already is?
A few safety tips for high power - put locking collars behind your wheel hubs to help prevent those hubs from sliding inward (bad stuff happens then). Also considering drill/tapping hubs and wheels for 5/16" fasteners to replace the typical 1/4" standard stuff. This is what we do when racing vintage twin engine karts (40-90hp). I've seen many accidents caused by hub sliding, and broken 1/4" bolts.
I'm 39 and have never seen a snowmobile engine in the south. They are slightly rare to find down here and shipping one I can tell you is something else. I been looking into it for myself. Much better/easier finding a racing 4 wheeler down here. People keep suggesting them but we just don't have them laying around down here for cheap like ya'll up there have.
Being a guy that’s worked on demo cars/trucks, I’ve used this method of straightening a frame and also bending it to try and get the frame to bend how we want it to, whether it be bending the frame a bit to get it to level out and whatnot.
If the Ducati goes on a drag cart.... it needs to be a fresh build with the engine behind the driver! That much power going through two or three Jack shafts is asking for problems. That said I know it would be a fairly ambitious project but I for one would love to see the results.
not that ambitious compared to some things, many of us have bike powered small cars this side of the pond tho i know that concept is slowly taking a hold stateside too :)
Every one I talk to about the rail that have seen it all say the same thing, It's by far the coolest thing you have built so far.tead your comments and you will see the support for sticking the Ducati in the rail and let Ike drive the snot out of it...!! Again ,thanks Neil
Dude!! Dude !!! Dude!!! Duuude!!! It'll be fine strikes again. Busted it and fixed. Great vid guy appreciate the time lapse. Add in some slow motion grinding it'll be great. Have fun!!!
Seems like a lot of power to be transferred thru those small set screw hubs with 3 small studs holding the wheel on. Surprised no failures there. Sick cart though.
Great vid guys. Y'all should weeks a 90° rod to the frame on that rear engine support so it won't bend as easily in the future. Keep up the excellent builds.
I love The go kart!!!!! .... that would take balls that drag the ground to get on something like that my brother!! ... that's like flying a f 16 for the first time lol.. you two guys are awesome!!!!!!
what i would like to see done with that motor is a mini t-rex trike...kart frame and wheels in the front and single wheel motorcycle frame in the rear...and as far as i know a pocket T-rex h has never been built...maybe something worth trying guys!peace love and happieness.
Hey guys that thing is a blast! However I hope you have plans for a chain guard to be fitted just in case the chain jumps of and wraps itself around your arm! That would most likely spoil your day in a big way! Have fun! Cheers!
no they are not... this is awesome. so much power, overkill. i love it. they just need to reinforce the damn thing and find some open space to properly let loose. its not that dangerous if you are sensible. they havnt even come close to its potential yet.
lol i said about gearing up the clutch months ago lol,(your hand on a lever is way more sensitive than you foot on a pedal) i have a bike engined car so know what im talking about lol, we love them this side of the pond lol, you shaved a beard john?? does that fluff count as a beard? lol but seriously plenty bodyshop guys have beards and have no issue with masks, your learning slowly tho john and thats what its all about so keep it going, when you made the vid about mailbox air scoop on the rail you even mentioned drilling out the seam welds lol, how does that work lol???? its cool i know you meant spot welds, but like i said your learning bud, keep it up lol :)
No drag strip would ever let someone race with this unless they rented out the track and payed for the huge insurance premium the track would need to allow something like this to race full size cars.
That way when it mini breaks and mini flies off into traffic, it wont count as a real accident, just a mini one. Especially since they would not be able to see it in the mirrors.
I remember bending a moped/scooter frame and the force it took to bend it back made you think it was witchcraft that must have bent it in the first place.
Make a mini drag rail with a two stroke engine
Didn’t expect to see you here!
You should try and make a lawnmower or something else other than an automobile have a v8 enging
My god it’s all interlinked
You know your making cool stuff when @colinfurze is commenting on your videos
"They're wide, they're sticky, but we like to party!" Haha.
Favorite part haha
Love the profile pic.
Yea party let’s get drunk lol
SO WHAT YOUR SAYING IS THE FRAME IS BAD ON THE DUCATI CART AND THE DRAG RAIL NEEDS A MOTOR
CAPS LOCK
The drag rail is weak as fuck and already heavy, if they add the Ducati motor to it, it will go slower than the cart it is in and they will have to add more steel to make it safe.
Jake DeArmond The drag rail needs way beefier axles and brakes too. The axle wobbles a lot with the 670 on it.

Time for a complete drag racing frame build for the deathcarti
Already have one
@@floppycopy1284 something able to withstand the power my dear sir
@@michaelknowsall1410 they already have one XD its called the rail
i say a sandrail fully independent 900cc single seat busco killer
gotta say you two together are the dream team, love your attitude to each other.
keep up the good work.
So since it's bending the frame on that kart, let's put the motor on the drag rail
when the engine is bigger than the vehicle it's in, you know it's gonna be a wild ride. you boys are insane!
Put that engine in the drag rail!!!🙏🏽🙏🏽
Yea
Ed H you’re comments is kinda cringy
8:03 lmaoooo he sounded like hank hill
Or mr. Anderson from beavis and butthead
bwahahaha

Oh man, when Ike see's the bent frame.... that sound you make when you get surprised by a snake. @8:02

99.999% of comments are telling you to put it on the drag rail so... PUT IT ON THE DRAG RAIL!!!
I think it's about time you guys do something with a snowmobile engine or something 2 stroke
100%, will be very noisy though
nah man different strokes for different folks
I'm 39 and have never seen a snowmobile engine in the south. They are slightly rare to find down here and shipping one I can tell you is something else. I been looking into it for myself. Much better/easier finding a racing 4 wheeler down here.

Yes twice the power they already have I like this
Don’t 4 strokes make more torque therefore are better for drag racing? 😂
At 7:04 John says “don’t die it’s not worth it.” That should be a new sticker
By far the best build!!
Hank Hill "dammit Bobby you bent the frame!
Skinny tires way out on the axles with a 200lbs guy bouncing up and down. Yeah, you bent the frame.
Kids will be kids...
your logic would imply the bending of the AXLE, not the frame. Which they did not do...
8:16 It's been a long time since I've laughed so hard. Mini truck towing mini race car HAHAHAHA
The best part was when you got the monster truck to tow it in
100% agreed!! That was awesome!!
I was thinking I was fina see a big ass truck and this popped up 😂 love it
Man I remember watching you guys when I was 12! glad to see you still doing it!
Never too much power
Truth.
Just brace er up a little
vincent padula cr500
too
Exactly. That's why they have a pedal to control it.
That’s insane
Put that engine on the rail
They can’t! Did you not hear them?! Not enough traction and axle strength.
That was pretty cool how you straightened the frame that’s a great idea!!! The ducarty is freaking awesome!! Great vid guys!!
ha! ike has a "foot" pedal, been looking for one of those
Awesome guys I’m ready to see the videos of the model a and the c10 .... im building a c10 step side my self right now
Those 89 5.0s may have been the most powerful engines ever made! lol
Being a guy that’s worked on demo cars/trucks, I’ve used this method of straightening a frame and also bending it to try and get the frame to bend how we want it to, whether it be bending the frame a bit to get it to level out and whatnot.
