We fenced the entire thing to prevent squatters and we have finally received approved plans to sub-divide and build 3 homes, one for each of us. My brother took the existing house and is currently extending it. The challenges you talked about is no joke and living abroad while trying to get things done in Jamaica cannot be explained.

I’m so happy for you both, that even though you were robbed by the lawyer and others , God gave you both the strength to move on into a better direction. The only excellent thing about it was that we had a good and transparent mortgage Officer who helped us to arrange our finances together so we could get a mortgage. Thanks to you Mrs Forrest. I pray that God continue to enlarge your borders👍👍🙏

Oh no. I'm sorry to hear. Unfortunately building while you are not here is even worse. Try to get someone trustworthy to oversee the process. It may cost you but it's worth it
@@Davianealeforrest2 I don't think you are as the banks who have given you money would have stressed tested you... they wouldn't just give away money.... it's always to their advantage whilst ensuring it's affordable to you... one positive is that you have more than one property, you have land and two incomes... youre almost as clever as the bank .. your absolutely fine 👆
My land title takes roughly 5 years. Then I finally get my land title through the Jamaica national land agency, I think that’s the agency. Just last year. It was very stressful.

Try the bank. Most banks have their agents and the agents have their lawyers that they use. Most of the time you can’t go wrong with the banks. Keyword (most) not all

I wish we were advised before getting involved with purchasing a property in Jamaica.
