This director deserves more credit than he does now.
He is the surpressed GENX no wonder he does not get the credit - I look forward to the NEXT Film as he is finally getting somewhere it seems, another earth was also fabulous but the budget was not there althbough it did not bother me as the script was brilliant as usual. I am thinking the next film due may be a part 2 or prequel to this one...
@@ReganMarcelis the next movie it’s “Bliss” and it’s very bad movie. Seems like he only did a really good work on I Origins.
I'm a huge fan of this film and my ABSOLUTE favorite scene isn't the ending, it's when Sofi is with Ian in the lab and asks him why he doesn't find it possible for humans to see and feel 'spirits', even if some humans just aren't evolved enough to do so (like the worms don't see or feel the sunlight even if we humans do and know that it's there).
Watched this film a few days ago and yes same thats my fave scene tho
Also loved this film, but it's just a movie and if some people have an evolutionary advantage then it will be provable, like something unique to women who can perceive a 4th kind of color for a lucky few (not just red green and blue) , many people claim that they can for instance see spirits of dead people and they have been tested in the past, turns out they can't when scientifically tested the same way people who can see another kind of color would be tested.
So Sofi is right if she says that it could be, but if the claim is that spirits of dead people exists and can be perceived by some people then it can be proved scientifically, but it's not.
The director loves that scene as well I believe
I wish see more movies like this!!
+love4diablo try watching "Like Crazy" by Drake Doremus. Is not about anything similiar, but the relationship between the characters is quite similar (love concept). I don't know why but Like Crazy and I Origins are my favorite movies... so maybe u like it! :)
Thank you for the recommendation of movie. I'll watch it. Trailer seems good atleast :)
I weep uncontrollably to this movie , and I’m grown man ,I’ve had that feeling of deja vu where time stops and you are left standing there in the realization of what just happened
Bruhhh , I just finished fit man and I wept a little
Man that’s crazy , I’ll never not look into someone’s eyes this movie was very moving.
WHYYYYY have I never seen this. Iv watched and have been in luv w this movie FOREVER. But I was never directed to THIS clip. THANK YOU I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!
wow! huge props to the visual effects team. Swear i thought those were her real eyes😮
d Mal_222 they aee go look her up
Me too
wow what a movie
the story is mindblowing
"You want to surrender". For you to do such a thing to an audience, the director deserves all the credits. Some other work of art that made me "surrender" was The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown, when they wanted to prove that we humans had souls by measuring it on the scale I wanted to believe it was real, same thing on Interstellar when they wanted to show love was the only thing that moves through one dimension to another. I love this science/fiction crossover.
This is why this is one of my favorites movies EVER.
This movie was amazing, compliments to the director and actors.
Soundtrack of this movie is beyond explaination. ♥️
10 years of this masterpiece, i still remember how much i cried… so beautiful!
Im here again.this movie is so MOVING. THOUGHT PROVOKING. Tragic… then beautifully finished
This movie is underrated, just like Another Earth is. Wonderful story, wonderful director, wonderful actors.
I enjoyed watching it years ago. Time to rewatch it
i just watched it. i loved it and didn't expect it to be so interesting. i thought it would be a love story, but it's much more than that

Just one word admiration 😭👏🏻👏🏻
yea, i really liked the characters in the movie, but i wasn't sure how it was going to end. it was almost at a low point, and then boom, elavator, and i just broke down. one of the best endings ive ever seen. bravo.
This was such a great movie I will definitely be watching this director to see what else he does.
Wow. I loved this film. I had no idea that they did that with the eyes. They did a great job. Makes me want watch it again. lol

CAHILL. YOU. ARE. SUCH. AN. ARTIST!!!!!!!!!! :) Good job! do more films like ths
woah holy foreshadowing when Brit Marling says "groping around in the dark" @4:49 just like her blind character as a child in THE OA

Wow I'm actally blow away on this theory 🤔
Cahill is an amazing director..
Mike Cahill deja de hacer peliculas con final abierto DAMN
My favourite film of all time.
No
Same, its ranked #1 for me.
I adore this movie. Watched prob a hundred times
What happens next?!?!?
I Origins 2 please!!!
LionRoseProductions I Origins is actually more like a prequel. Mike originally wanted to make a movie "I" but because so many of the concepts are very difficult to explain right off the bat, he made "I Origins." Also, his ideas for "I" have too many unanswered questions even for himself as the writer/director, that's why he added that scene after the credits. That scene was supposed to be what "I" is about but there are a lot of questions still but yeah they need to make the next movie.
Yes, but maybe the I Origins 2 with like different story i mean not really different but not the same characters like the previously movie, it will be great.
Es una película maravillosa.
damn amazing! I wanna be part of a project like that.
loveeeee this movie one of my favourites :)
so underrated
Wow this is so interesting! I really want to see this movie!
Did you get to watch it?

I was so curious how they did the icing and I swear a different actress was using the mask versus the one who played Sophia but that’s me watching on a low quality monitor and version of the film😅
Thanks for the insight, will look out for this, looks interesting.
I can't wait to see this . never knew about it
Wow I had no idea that was a visual effect
michael ♥
I was hoping to hear that the subject matter research included that of Dr. Ian Stevenson, who was the first to apply the scientific method in researching and painstakingly documenting the past life memories of children all over the globe.
Because of him, there is a decades-long research project and database in the University of Virginia Division of Perceptual Studies (headed by Jim Tucker since Stevenson's passing). There are other researchers/databases and a growing body of cases since the 60s.
If you're interested, there are presentations by Jim Tucker and his team on RUclips. Also look for Erlander Harroldson, Pim Vom Lommel, Bruce Grayson (sp?).
But really, the most compelling evidence is Stevenson's body of work. It can make for dry reading, but the case studies and statstics are fascinating. He was meticulous. Reincarnation is the only afterlife theory for which there is real evidence (not proof).
I thought that because the main character's first name was Ian and the because of some of the elements of thw film, that might mean the writer was familiar with his work. Maybe he is and just not in this piece.
Brit Marling!!!

now i think this is amazing and have so much respect for this! BUT why not just use contacts??
Contact tend to look fake, except really exspensive once (but they have money, so that probably wouldn't be a problem) and to put them in such a young kid... Dousn't sound so good, and then they have to design the whole contacts.. So yeah
Shanaya Pot yea with a budget where they are able to CGI it properly i don't think the work or money for contacts would even be comparable to the CGI expense.
They said that they tried it, but since Kashish's eyes are so dark, and with the close eye shots in the movie, you could literally tell that they were contacts.
One of the best films ever made.
i loved this movie :)
They eyes were done well such that I could not tell
Shortly before the elevator scene you could see that Sofi was quite unhappy - like if she realised the differences between them and questionned their "marriage"?
This is a twin flame movie.....
Dipikaborah Borah yes totally is!!!
Dipikaborah Borah yes totally is!!!

The universe is a large being if someone is dead and if that soul enter to a women's womb and gave life to the cell, its all just the play from the mind of the universe
Woah
How is it that Sophie does not experience any pain when her body is crushed or sliced in two in the elevator? Or does she?
cool
I just wept a little watching this movie man wtf
what about... 2 pairs.. of eye contacts...?
Is the Scientist "wife" the same woman who played the Main actreess's part in Another Earth?
yeah, brit marling
@@16o6oo ... Love her, is she in other more popular stuff?... The director of another earth and the "eye" movie he did, all GEMS!!!!! He is GENX for sure but doing great stuff, might even have a mainstream show soon, hope it works out incredible for him, forget his name....
Britt marling tho❤️
I made a video relative to this movie in 2017. It's about 3 mins. long and should be of interest to someone
Mind expansion
In finding truth
the movie starts after Sophie dies... thats is the problem in this movie, is not a failure but it wasn't a success either , It could have been better ... although I liked it
The afghan girl's eyes
5:13 I think I used to have that pen. Does anyone know if that pen is the one with buttons you could push for different colors?
They're called 'BIC'
+Lou Kloe I didn't ask for the name of it....
+Kristin C. Oh, but yes it might be the pen you wrote about
Job 38:4 KJV - Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.
Scientific #Samaritan #Singh .
Good movie tho, liked Another Earth too but I have to say the guy is stuck at this level. He has a basic idea that is good and that's all. He can't make people want to see his movies. He should be a writer. He should leave directors do their job. He writes something and he sticks to it. When a director who just likes the basic idea of the story kinda follows it but changes a lot of things that might help the movie to improve. This guy is not going to do such a thing as he wants to see it the way he imagined.
Definitly not a good director. I can see that. Everyone else can see that. That's why he has done only 2 movies in like 8 years..
Oh shut up
