Kawagoe (川越市, Kawagoe-shi) is a city in Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
We spend the whole day in Kawagoe. Just 30-40 minutes train ride from Ikebukuro. Located in peaceful Saitama, Kawagoe is a well-preserved Koedo area, also known as Little Edo. In this small town, you’ll find plenty of souvenir shops, eateries and cafés, all inside kurazukuri (traditional warehouse-style) buildings.
