      Sn base solder alloys cannot reacted with iron. Solder means that joining metal which has under 450 'c melting point, relatively low T than iron . Iron need to welding. Also, if u wanna joining solder with different metal as iron, u need to electroplating different metal as Ni or Cu on the iron. At that time, they can form IMC at the interface btw Sn atoms in solder and plating metals

    When you join wires u place the iron tip UNDER the joint with a flat tip with more surface area to transfer more heat to the wire quicker and well heat rises always place the iron on the bottom when u join to ends of wire. I learned this at R.I.T.O.P. school for mobile electronics

    When you were cutting the insulation off the coax cable how did you remove the center part to release the braids to make the solder Wick? You have a center conductor and a surrounding insulator between the conductor and the braids you don't show how you remove them?

    First that trace was made by factory to be weak link. If you put stronger wire than trace was you can damage some other parts. It is ok to repair like that but with less copper than on this video. I repaired some electronics same way but always pay attention on amount of copper that was there originaly.

    Daniè, io mi sono inventata questo trucco per saldare i fili e rendere impermeabili all'acqua le saldature.
    Un giro di colla a caldo alle sulla guaina dei fili ai lati della saldatura, prima di mettere la guaina termorestringente.
    In questo modo, quando vado a scaldare la guaina per farla stringere, si scalda e si fonde la colla dentro ed impermeabilizza la giunzione.

    • @crisnmaryfam7344
      @crisnmaryfam7344 3 года назад

      i think the point is, you could prep them, put them in a assorted container and have them ready when you need one on the job, then the extra work you put into it, would pay off in time saved. Exponentially if you have a job that requires many... you could quickly bust out quite a few without the need for fume extraction or any clean up. Say you are installing a stereo in a car for example, you could have the wires cut stripped and set up then pop each one on one by one heating as you go and have it done in a few seconds rather than minutes. Just a simple example.
