Fraternal and musical affection from France
Just WOW! Some voices never diminish.
Pure Gold Janis ! You are so gracious and humble with the stories and introductions you weave. Only someone who is so talented could do this. Long may you continue to perform.
Indeed, golden!
Any time, any where, Janis is perfect to me!! Love that voice and the way her music touches my spirit. Awesome!!! Again? Soon???
So great hearing you sing your songs that I have on albums from years ago. Your voice is still touching and emotional! Thank you Janis Ian! I will send in a donation.
Janis sounds beautiful, great sound too!
Her voice! Janis Ian sounds the same as when I first heard her sing her most first hit song! Love her!
What DO people do if they don’t have YOUR voice and music in their life is what I want to know. 😘😘😘
Loved this. Janis you just get better and better. You are my Joan Baez. I learned to play by listening to you since I was 13. Your music has changed my life in a beautiful way!
Beautiful
I LOVE Janis Ian.
En-Joy!
This is really lovely - takes me back to 1975, hearing her on Radio 1 on the BBC here in the UK, that fabulous summer when I left school! Then later in the decade, perhaps 78/79/80 when I saw her in concert in Edinburgh - fantastic, awe inspiring actually!
we luv janis!
Wonderful!
Goosebumps!

So excited!!
I enjoyed this so much. Thank you, Janis.
Hope to hear her live someday - just love her!! Be sure to read her autobiography, Society's Child. (Or better yet, listen to HER read it as I did!! Bonus is hearing her perform some of the songs she talks about. Perfection.)
Love you always have always will Camp white pine songs 1964 on 🥰
What a voice.. thank you Janis.. When you coming back to Glasgow … ? xx
Janis' intro for "At Seventeen" is so dead-on! I have found myself in and out of that place that she spoke of… I'm rapidly approaching 'level 7-0'yet I don't even realize it most of the time. I believe it's because of the "art" or "craft" that turned my world upside down when I was about 10 years old. For most of my life I was but a humble "songfinder", not a "cover" musician regurgitating someone else's hit songs; but instead, a man of digging up those deep tracks that others had recorded and would try to transpose their emotions into something that fit into something in my own timeline or things that were "current" to that particular timeframe. That was a pretty "heavy" thing for me in those days, in so many cases; however; somewhere around the late 90's to early 2000's, my muse and I finally found each other and I became a songwriter. That was when the "heavy" stuff really changed my world. I found that I did have a deeper side that I'd never discovered and that even the art of songfinding took on newer and loftier meaning for me. Thank you Janis Ian for all that you have done for our world and thanks for those wonderful and enlightening thoughts that you shared with us. May your path be long and filled with love and adventure.

Wow. Just f**king WOW!
that, what we say!
Doo-bee-doo-bee-doo 🍿👀
I just love the blond acoustic guitar. What brand is it or is it your own design?
Santa Cruz "Janis Ian model". Richard Hoover designed it, though in one of the interviews on the show I talk about what I asked for.
Actually the only concerts I ever referred to as magical are Janis solo concerts (although the better concerts of the Astor Piazzolla Quintet and Paco de Lucia were magical as wel). So one day I asked her if it would be possible to make a solo record. "no way" she replied. Well, I continued, do you like the Beatles..... Yes.... would you be interested in a recording of the Beatles with a beautiful symphonic arrangement on the background... No...... Well, that's why I don't buy your records I replied... It might be coincidental but on her next solo tour she brought a lovely solo DVD which if I'm well informed became one of her best selling items. And now this little present. Glad to see she still hasn't lost her magic and boy do I love those fabulous harmonics and guitar arrangements, not a single note to much, not a single note to little.... just like Bach.... and maybe the Beatles :-).
