The actual optimal end game comp: Kholek Fire Sorcerer (Infernal Dominance) Chaos Champion (Infernal Dominance) 17x Dragon Ogre Shaggoths All of the Shaggoth Buffs
Colonel to add up to your strategy, aspiring champions have encourage so i'd replace two frontline units for them, so they increase the leadership even more, and remove one hellcannon to put one unit of forsaken stacked on the aspiring champions to give them more bodies to last longer cuz of the low model count And i tested out that even though trolls are weak you can stack them with chaos spawn to make a scary monster team so mid game instead of 4 chaos spawn i choose 2 armoured trolls to give armor piercing to the mix while the chaos spawn hold stuff in place and tank for the trolls
You're SUCH a champ! I went months as a new player trying to figure this game out, and could never get anywhere. I watched this and your lords video, and I'm about to clear the campaign now. Thanks so much!!
Aspiring Champions are surprisingly effective in sieges on the walls and screening your front line from missile and tower fire. They can be great help against enemy characters too. But when you have Exalted Heroes and Sorcerors on Manticores their value is greatly diminished.
I’ve found that Aspiring Champions are outstanding lord and hero killers, they are pretty decent line infantry but you are better off sending them to reinforce weak points or to break through enemy lines.
My chaos build order? 4 chaos ogres, 8 chosen with great axes, 1 hero, & 6 hell-cannons, focus fire enemy artillery, then archers, then send in the infantry.. never played long enough to fight flying units though since chaos is so boring
Off just what I've seen in this video, maybe Aspiring Champions are supposed to be a sort of early hammer to the marauders anvil? Like, vanguard deployed strike force sorta deal?
@@michalpiotrgorecki still it's preferable to have dwarf like leadership than not because we all know chaos has a major mass rout problem vanguard is forgettable, they're good for their purpose, but yes vanguard is a bad ability for them
3 to 5 aspiring champions deployed with vanguard and charging in immediately in can do wonders to disrupt the AI. They're incredibly durable on their own and if you have some fast lords & heroes they won't be on their own for long. They're not the best units in the roster but they're also fairly cheap and work well in early game.
Aspiring Champions have a large Encourage radius effect, something that Damneders missed here and is likely their main draw. They'll keep your battle lines fighting even longer, meaning you can use trolls, forsaken and marauders much more effectively.
I play with both ovn and SFO grimhammer mods I use the tactics with an araby army bc they have access to a region specific building that unlocks chaos warriors, knights, spawn, and aspirin champsXD at the cost of like 6 chaos curruption per turn
Excuse me guys. Why my chaos warriors's helmet looks different in total war warhammer 2 than total war warhammer? They look just like the 3 picture on the unit menu and the other helms are like gone. Do you have any idea O way to resolve it? Thank you!
Again, your comps are barely good on normal/hard difficulty. on legendary difficulty you cannot afford a close victory against a shitty empire army like the one in the video. You are gonna face 2/3 army every turn and you need to have an army that is capable of handling that without that many casualty. I'm sorry but these guides are misleading for anyone who plays on L/Vh settings
People have been pronouncing it as me - lee for years now. There is no 'correct' way to pronounce a word in a language. Once enough people adopt this pronunciation, it becomes an accepted variant. Otherwise, all Americans speak English incorrectly because they don't pronounce words the same way as the British. As to why this happened, the word 'melee' isn't really used outside of a video game/tabletop context and in my experience it's presented most often as a written word, not a spoken word. So you have decades and hundreds of millions of people only seeing the word in its written form and pronouncing it in the way that makes the most sense. English is filled with loan words from over a thousand years ago that have been adapted to fit our language, melee will become another one.
@@arandombard1197 Never heard anyone say it the way he does. Meh-lay sure and I accept that, as it us in common usage in English speaking countries, but nevertheless it is a French word and the correct pronunciation is may-lay.

Add in a few more Sorcerers for Arcane Conduit spam, they are really good for Items buffs such as Helm of Discord and Book of Ashur for +25 winds etc
alternatively: Archaon with sword of khaine, literally nothing else

The Chaos Champion leadership bonus doesn't stack with your lord though.
