Are these people american? Why does a 29 year-old need money from his parents to buy a house or for financial support? American culture is so weird. It's not the middle ages anymore. People don't get married at 16 and shouldn't need family and friends to give them anything, money or otherwise.
Actually, financial support from parents for adult children is not exclusively American. I am saying it from my rural hometown in Yogyakarta, a small province in Indonesia
