A couple of things that could help you out. 1. Start using commander thermals. These are gen3 mounted at the top of the tank with very good zoom 2. Start spotting every enemy you see it will get you assist whenever someone kills them and you no longer have a shot.
The problem is it can do to many things, and all a lil bit to well for the total package. At 9.0/9.3 when i am with germany or brittan i get slapped frontaly through upper front plate and turret armour by the 2s38 way to often. Its way to forgiving, making a mistake is rarely punishable It just has no busniss fighting 9.0/9.3 vehicles at any point unless they nerf it substationaly.
The 2S38 is easy to kill....smack it with HEATFS or HESH and it dies. Of course against APFSDS its going to eat rounds as Sabot over penetrates and the vehicle has lots of empty space. Gun based SPAA chew it up as seen in the video with a Gepard murdering it,. Against Aircraft the 2S38 is supposed to be very powerful as Russia is wanting to replace the Shilka with the 2S38 as its main SPAA
Personally, I'd go with the T-72AV mainly because it has both a good APFSDS shell and the HE shell will one shit basically anything if you shoot the right spots
I don't think it's OP, given how easy it is to kill tbh. I think what it depends on is players being stupid and unaware of their surroundings - anyone who isn't paying attention will get absolutely deleted by this thing. It's quick, and it fires rapidly, and that fits the meta of slapfights in urban maps, but its rapidly btfo by players who have even a modicum of awareness, or distance, on the thing.
It's mainly considered OP because it does practically everything, while also being surprisingly survivable (I can't count the number of times I've seen a 2S38 bounce my M900 apfsds from the front or simply refuse to spall when shot with *any* apfsds round from the side. It's got a better round than the M3A3 Bradley, got an amazing HE-VT shell, got an amazing firerate that allows it to bully any MBT that they spot first. If a 2S38 manages to see you before you see it, there's a good chance your barrel is at 50% health before you're able to swing over to fire at it. I'll definitely agree that it might depend on players being unaware of their surroundings, but that goes for literally EVERY IFV or light tank for the most part. The point is that out of every IFV or vehicle with a high caliber auto-cannon, the 2S38 is a monster.
So as I was playing the 2S38 for this video (and over the time since I grabbed it), it definitely feels like a mixed bag. On one hand, if the person using it is a really good player (something of which I am definitely not), then I feel it can steam roll the enemy team. But even if someone like me with an average level of skill uses it, the 2S38 does feel pretty OP. However there are also plenty of times that it feels like the 2S38 does absolutely nothing and just gets curb stomped by an enemy tank. Maybe that's just suffering from skill issue er something 🤷🤷
@@adroxys4458man I feel ya with it eating Sabot rounds like it was nothing. For me, side shots always seem to do the trick, but the fuel tank in the front of the 2S38 is super annoying to deal with since it just gets rid of all the spall
Most skilled 2s38 gameplay W+m1
It takes a lot of skill to hold W and mouse 1 an entire match 🗿🗿💀💀💀😤😤😤💪💪💪
