Fun fact OHKO moves have a separate accuracy calculation from every other move in the game. This makes it so that things like accuracy boosts from items and moves don't affect them. The only way to make them 100% accurate is with no guard because no guards effect removes accuracy altogether effectively skipping any accuracy calculations regardless of the move in question.
I thought there were measures against allowing a combo on OHKO and no guard. I remember one for Machamp that either changes its ability or moves to prevent the broken combo. Or a later update would prevent the ability move combo or something.
3:45 it's just down to how the formula looks, having a defense of 0 causes all physical attacks to deal 2 damage because there is a +2 at the end of the formula, and the zero causes everything before it to equal 0 due to the multiplication (anything times 0 equals 0), so only the +2 at the end is left
Choice band flash fire switcharoo ninetales forces Henry to struggle every turn. Other mon also has flash fire and substitute and protect ninetales also has protect. Low attack stat makes struggle weak.
In Gen 9, you could use Ability Shield to bring in the Psychic Terrain and buy some turns, but in Gen 8, this is so cleanly OP. Mad props. The only thing that even remotely works is going G-Max with a Focus Band, getting incredibly lucky, and then doing... ?I think the exclusive G-Max moves have the most potential, with their special status effects, but none of them are really good enough lmao.
add the knock off effect to every hit to remove the focus band, ignore abilities from gen 7's legendary signature moves, swap out henry's item for a leppa berry and add recycle to forest nut
I think I might've come up with a good way to not guarantee, but to give at least a decent chance of fighting Henry. If I missed something there's probably some way to add mindgames or make things a little more complicated to make it possible to beat it, but not guaranteed. Lead with a Level 100 Umbreon with Inner Focus and Grimmsnarl that can Gigantamax. Max their EVs in HP and Sp. Def, give them a Calm nature, and give the Grimmsnarl an Assault Vest. The Grimmsnarl has to know a Dark move that's ideally special for chip and you need two identical copies of this Grimmsnarl in the back. Unless I did my calcs wrong, if this Grimmsnarl Gigantamaxes, the ONLY MOVE Henry can use to kill you is Burn Up, which it can only use once. He cannot use Debuff Beam because you have an Umbreon that can use Yawn on it and Jungle Healing CANNOT remove the Yawn since it's a non-volatile status - he has to either click Burn Up or Spicy Sprite. Otherwise clicking Debuff Beam would be an instant game over for you if you don't click Tera on Grimmsnarl Turn 1. Since you have a Grimmsnarl out turn 1, this leads to a 50/50: if Henry uses Burn Up turn 1 and you Gigantamax then he wins, if you don't Gigantamax turn 1 then you can the next turn. If you Gigantamax and he doesn't burn up then your Grimmsnarl will get one move. If he does click Burn Up turn 1 and you saved your Gigantamax until Turn 2, he can still use Burn Down. This is another 50/50 where if he catches the one you Gigantamax you can't attack, but if he guesses wrong you get one move. Your one move in both of those situations should be G-Max Snooze. Absolute worst case from that flowchart you will have 3 Pokemon left if you're able to use the move. He can knock out both of your active Pokemon but you'll still have at least one left. G-Max Snooze Yawns the opponent, so they'll only get one turn to attack before falling asleep - and once again, Jungle Healing DOES NOT heal volatile statuses like Yawn. Your final two Pokemon should be Level 100 Choice Scarf Ditto. If it's asleep, you can safely Transform into it and unless I did my calcs wrong, Spicy Sprite kills it. It will be asleep guaranteed for the first turn, and since you're able to select a different move after Transforming, you've basically won here. Higher Speed means you'll always go first in the +5 Priority bracket and your moves always flinch even if I calced wrong. Now am I missing anything with this? Or are there other ways to optimize this? I did damage calcs for a Pokemon with the exact Sp. Atk stat he shows using a Dark-type 250 BP move that crits and unless it literally hits all 10 times and gets a max roll every single one, G-Max Grimmsnarl lives.
@@lampdisease There's no way for the Dittos to Transform without something giving them a free turn. Imposter is blocked by NeutGas and Spicy Sprite kills before you attack no matter what.
If only Debuff Beam had Core Enforcer's secondary effect....the ability to suppress aka nullify ANY pokemon's ability without the need for Neutralizing gas, and then all those other secondary effects that he stated Debuff Beam already did.
Core Enforcer's suppression effect only activates if the target has already attacked that turn. Also that would require Henry to not insta-kill all opponents which opens the door for him getting hit with Gastro Acid or the like.
I'm paused at 14 minutes in developing my own team against this thing, assuming it's doubles, I think I've found a way Leading with innards out pyukumuku using mirror coat, toxic, pain split and taunt Paired with prankster whimsicott holding a focus sash using leech seed, stun spore, endeavor, and charm Or my next pokemon Gale wings talonflame using tailwind, fly, substitue, and protect Trace porygon 2 with a choice band using trick, substitue, psyshock and thunder wave Next is prankster riolu with copycat, quick guard, detect and endure (mostly just filler to enable my last pokemon) Trace gardevoir using destiny bond, trick room, encore and psychic terrain While no one will probably see this lol I put a good amount of effort into this team, and with playing your cards correctly I think you could beat that monstrosity with the tools in it, by the way while since i havent finished the video I'm not sure if reusing pokemon is allowed which may alter some decisions I made but either way great video and sorry I'm really incoherent right now By the way, Mew or ditto is a cop out so I didn't bring them

The sheer amount of creativity given to these. Not just in the creation of the Pokémon, and editing. But also the fact you make little tutorial videos for them to watch, AND pamphlets about Henry. It’s just going those few steps beyond.
I'm pretty sure you can counter the Trace Wonder Guard tactic by using Soak, Hatterene Magic Powder, or Forest's Curse to give the opponent a different type so you can hit them for super effective damage. Worry Seed, and Simple Beam are also cool tech options for the ability changing route. G-Max Wildfire (doesn't stack with fire pledge + grass pledge? I have no way to test this.), Vinelash, Cannonade and Vocalith's field effects are also absurd sources of passive damage. Imagine a move that set all of them at once (assuming game mechanics allow doing so), doing up to 4/6 of both opponent's max HP at the end of each turn passively (pokemon of the original move's respective type are immune, so anything with Fire, Water, Grass, or Rock type will take one less instance of 1/6, so something like Ludicolo will only take 2/6 per turn The effect lasts for 4 turns by the way...
Ability Wonder Guard: There are moves that have double types... Moves like Flying Press which is both Fighting & Flying... So if u made Burn Up... Fire and Fighting... It could hit Flash Fire mons (since Well Baked Body is not yet in the game) but also hit Wonderguard Porygon I thought of the Trick ---> Choice Band thing since it raise ur attack just a bit for Foulplay to do less damage... & get u stuck Struggling after using Burn Up once but that wont work...
I do like how at the end of it all, the answer when it came to avoiding counters was more simple than we thought. And I loved that Frank made this sequel because it shows how much he progressed in his understanding and determination. All to say that Frank, you're an inspiration and you're content is amazing, keep is up!
18:33 Simple solution to this tbh Make Henry’s Ability “As One” Combine Wonder Guard and Magic Guard or Power Contruct(power construct if you really want to be annoying) Give Henry safety googles Reasoning: As One basically combines 2 abilites into one Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has either version of As One. Role Play, Skill Swap, Entrainment, and Doodle fail if either Pokémon has As One. As One cannot be copied by Trace, Power of Alchemy, or Receiver. As One cannot be replaced by Mummy or Lingering Aroma, suppressed by Core Enforcer or Neutralizing Gas, or traded by Wandering Spirit. Power Contruct makes it so you transform at 50%. Pretty sure this also heals you to max Magic guard needs to explaination I’m sure you can do this. I mean you already made personalized moves. How hard can it be to mod a specialized ability
my favorite counter I thought up was getting poison off turn 1 and since it's just poison it's not going to be a huge issue turn 2, he doesn't need to heal, then you manage an endeavor with a level 1 pokemon, sending him to like 10 health and he dies to poison, it's the jankiest scummy win, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire
The most powerful thing you can have in Pokemon... is stopping other people's abilities. Ingenious. Incredible video the production quality on this was sky high. Thank you, Henry.
I was gonna say, "Man poor Vinny just being the guinea pig for testing strong/troll mons". Then he decided to play the troll game himself, so now he deserves it.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 ive wanted to see a Matt and Frank interaction for a while, and it lived up to what ive wanted. I couldnt stop laughing when The Don tricked Henry
Fun fact: he could’ve made debuff beam FREEZE, and I don’t think there’s a Pokémon with a freeze prevention ability who can use like destiny bond, perish song or anything else like that
Honestly Frank, you kill it every time with you videos. It’s just like one after the other they keep getting better. Just when I thought they couldn’t get better, they do every time.
My strat Wonder Guard: do what they did with Trace but add Life Orb & Trick to go quicker Neutralising Gas: Plead for 1 turn, transform with Ditto, hope to win speed tie
10:19 in gen8 recover has 16 pp, just get some pyukumukus to use recover every 2 moves with a leppa berry and done you can pp stall debuff beam and forest's nut(it cant use an attack lest it get hit by innards out)
15:24 entrainment would work, as it replaces the opponents ability with yours, thus making something like truant durant with entrainment, a proper strategy
Yup, you could bring something like Farfetch'd with Inner Focus and Simple Beam. ...of course, then you have to actually kill it. Might be possible with two Pyukumuku and four Inner Focus.
Generally always hitting first while ignoring everything that can go faster (protect) with an always flinching move and an ability that removes flinch immunity is generally unbeatable. That's why jirachi was used so much. If you were quicker and got the flinch off without it being removed well then you win.
I think I’ve found a way to make Pyukumuku a non-issue for Wonder Guard Henry: A move that deals 90% (75% if Guardian of Alola is needed as a base, or 50% in the worst-case scenario) of the opponent’s max hp, but hits many times. Moves like this CAN KO, but ONLY if the opponent is at one HP. This hypothetical move would repeatedly reduce Pyukumuku’s health until it reaches 1, then KO it for a 1 damage Innards Out, all in a single turn.
The strategy of have enough things to cover any possible subversion in your strategy instead of trying to have a flawless stategty that works every time is eerily similar to how actual competitive Pokémon teams are made
the moment you mentioned henry's typelessness i immediately remembered soak and thought of a simple strategy that just needs soak and an electric move to be able to hit henry
Woops it's my turn Edit: it just occurred to me. What if you brought Neutralizing Gas, set both Def stats to the same integer overflow value that results in 0, max out HP and call it a day
Another solution would be to add mold breaker to the moves, such like Sunsteel strike and moongeist beam, and give it a false swipe effect on the first hit, makes it to where you only lose 1hp from innards
You made the strongest, you've made the immortal... now we need the most mediocre and the most weak. Also, Tsareena has an ability called Queenly Majesty, which eliminates priority moves' effects.
Queenly Majesty doesn't block priority moves that target entire sides of the field, just like psychic terrain, which he made a point of mentioning at 5:59
Does a move like gastro acid or worry seed work? Wouldn’t suppressing or changing the oppponents ability to something worthless work? Would that help Henry get past wonder guard since both effects work on it?
Idea: Smash Bros Bosses as Pokémon 1; Master Hand, Normal type. Moves: Snap. (Normal/Physical, Fake out but 20 power weaker, but can be used multiple times, works like gigaton hammer.) Finger Gun. Hits 1-3 times, (Normal, 50 base power.) Hyper Beam. (Reference to his multiple laser attacks.) Last move you can think of. 2, Crazy Hand, Normal/Psychic Fire circle, (Fire, 80 Power, 30% burn chance.) That’s all I can think of for that but.
This might be a dumb question, is it possible to make a random hitting move (as in it hits a random number of times) that deals a random damage type each time it hits?
Magic Guard is the ability I would have gone for. Prevents damage from status, Innards Out, Aftermath, etc. Not sure why only physical defense has the integer overflow exploit, but with that you don't need to worry about taking normal attacks anyway. Neutralizing Gas effectively does the same thing, but turns off other problematic abilities instead of protection from status.
I have found a way to beat the neutralizing gas version of Henry depending on if glitches Pokémon are allowed. Gas doesn’t affect cramorants signature ability gulp middle, where if a Pokémon deals damage to it it spits out either an arrokouda or a Pikachu both dealing 25% of your health and Pikachu also paralyzingly you. So if glitches Pokémon are allowed and you bring 4 cramorant and a Pokémon that can do something to set up trick room while you have to heal up then you will lose interactions in the same priority bracket letting a duo get off moves like wide gaurd safely to avoid spread moves and with a couple good prections like getting a ghost type curse off then Henry could be defeated
@@AstroidmaniaVideos "Neutralizing Gas cannot suppress another Pokémon's Neutralizing Gas, Multitype, Zen Mode, Stance Change, Power Construct, Schooling, RKS System, Shields Down, Battle Bond, Comatose, Disguise, Gulp Missile, Ice Face, As One, or Tera Shift." this is my source on bulbupedia, but since i don't have a modded switch i cannot theory craft a strategy beyond hurting it with gulp missle. i doubt it can stop it every time, but with some good predictions it might be possible
the description of Burn Up basically killed me I laughed so hard btw you could have got funnier things by adding heal or drain, like the one from Strength Sap and the one from any draining moves
you could use a status move that forces the opponent's pokemon to switch out (like hurricane), make it a status move and you can give it priority, it has the same effect as flinching as it doesnt allow the opponent to deal any damage, + you can make it have curse, and other status effects.

I've been watching RUclips videos for pretty much my entire life, and I can unequivocally say that no one does it like you, man. Your senses of humor, drama, and pacing all shine through, and every piece of content you publish is incredibly well thought-out and of the utmost quality. Keep it up :)
Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️
Fun fact OHKO moves have a separate accuracy calculation from every other move in the game. This makes it so that things like accuracy boosts from items and moves don't affect them. The only way to make them 100% accurate is with no guard because no guards effect removes accuracy altogether effectively skipping any accuracy calculations regardless of the move in question.
it is also 100 percent accurate if you are 70 levels above your opponent! every level above the target adds one point of accuracy
I thought there were measures against allowing a combo on OHKO and no guard. I remember one for Machamp that either changes its ability or moves to prevent the broken combo. Or a later update would prevent the ability move combo or something.

it's just down to how the formula looks, having a defense of 0 causes all physical attacks to deal 2 damage because there is a +2 at the end of the formula, and the zero causes everything before it to equal 0 due to the multiplication (anything times 0 equals 0), so only the +2 at the end is left
Choice band flash fire switcharoo ninetales forces Henry to struggle every turn. Other mon also has flash fire and substitute and protect ninetales also has protect. Low attack stat makes struggle weak.

Or just use Gardevoir and hope for luck on Metronome
@animatetrioj1507 Apparently the "ignore abilities" moves don't actually do that when called by Metronome for some reason...

Damn I think you got it, unless I bumped up Spicy Sprite to hit more times that seems like it’d do it 👏
@@AstroidmaniaVideos Tsym for the reply!! Makes the two hours I spent on optimizing this very worth it LOL
We need you in the writers room. You cooked here
You probably don’t even need to put Henry to sleep. Just lead 2 scarf dittos and click the win button
I'm paused at 14 minutes in developing my own team against this thing, assuming it's doubles, I think I've found a way
Leading with innards out pyukumuku using mirror coat, toxic, pain split and taunt
Paired with prankster whimsicott holding a focus sash using leech seed, stun spore, endeavor, and charm
Or my next pokemon
Gale wings talonflame using tailwind, fly, substitue, and protect
Trace porygon 2 with a choice band using trick, substitue, psyshock and thunder wave
Next is prankster riolu with copycat, quick guard, detect and endure (mostly just filler to enable my last pokemon)
Trace gardevoir using destiny bond, trick room, encore and psychic terrain
While no one will probably see this lol I put a good amount of effort into this team, and with playing your cards correctly I think you could beat that monstrosity with the tools in it, by the way while since i havent finished the video I'm not sure if reusing pokemon is allowed which may alter some decisions I made but either way great video and sorry I'm really incoherent right now
By the way, Mew or ditto is a cop out so I didn't bring them
A better pyukumuku counter would’ve been to make debuff beam have lots of base power, but leave the opponent at one HP like false swipe.
The day the As One code is cracked is the day Frank becomes God

The sheer amount of creativity given to these. Not just in the creation of the Pokémon, and editing. But also the fact you make little tutorial videos for them to watch, AND pamphlets about Henry. It’s just going those few steps beyond.
that part in the ad where Frank paused for an oddly funny long time had me dying. this video is great funny asf
It could hit Flash Fire mons (since Well Baked Body is not yet in the game) but also hit Wonderguard Porygon
I thought of the Trick ---> Choice Band thing since it raise ur attack just a bit for Foulplay to do less damage...

Simple solution to this tbh
Make Henry’s Ability
“As One”
Combine Wonder Guard and Magic Guard or Power Contruct(power construct if you really want to be annoying)
Give Henry safety googles
Reasoning:
As One basically combines 2 abilites into one
Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has either version of As One.
Pretty sure this also heals you to max
Magic guard needs to explaination
I’m sure you can do this. I mean you already made personalized moves. How hard can it be to mod a specialized ability
He doesn’t know how to change it
Its not posible to edit as one
my favorite counter I thought up was getting poison off turn 1 and since it's just poison it's not going to be a huge issue turn 2, he doesn't need to heal, then you manage an endeavor with a level 1 pokemon, sending him to like 10 health and he dies to poison, it's the jankiest scummy win, but sometimes you have to fight fire with fire
Fun fact: he could’ve made debuff beam FREEZE, and I don’t think there’s a Pokémon with a freeze prevention ability who can use like destiny bond, perish song or anything else like that
Bro just make it electric type with wonder guard & an air balloon. Thing’s physically impossible to hit.
These videos truly deserve more attention than they get. 100% the best Pokémon content on RUclips and it’s not even close.
Honestly Frank, you kill it every time with you videos. It’s just like one after the other they keep getting better. Just when I thought they couldn’t get better, they do every time.
Being Frank's friend must be one of the most fun yet frustrating things in the world 😂
My strat
Wonder Guard: do what they did with Trace but add Life Orb & Trick to go quicker
Neutralising Gas: Plead for 1 turn, transform with Ditto, hope to win speed tie
10:19 in gen8 recover has 16 pp, just get some pyukumukus to use recover every 2 moves with a leppa berry and done you can pp stall debuff beam and forest's nut(it cant use an attack lest it get hit by innards out)
Can't recover if you're getting flinched every turn
15:24 entrainment would work, as it replaces the opponents ability with yours, thus making something like truant durant with entrainment, a proper strategy
Yup, you could bring something like Farfetch'd with Inner Focus and Simple Beam.
...of course, then you have to actually kill it. Might be possible with two Pyukumuku and four Inner Focus.
Now we just need FSG to make, “How BROKEN is Henry ACTUALLY?” Make it a 10 sec video😂
Generally always hitting first while ignoring everything that can go faster (protect) with an always flinching move and an ability that removes flinch immunity is generally unbeatable. That's why jirachi was used so much. If you were quicker and got the flinch off without it being removed well then you win.
The dedication to this is truly inspiring, and the booklet is adorable😂
I think I’ve found a way to make Pyukumuku a non-issue for Wonder Guard Henry: A move that deals 90% (75% if Guardian of Alola is needed as a base, or 50% in the worst-case scenario) of the opponent’s max hp, but hits many times.
Moves like this CAN KO, but ONLY if the opponent is at one HP. This hypothetical move would repeatedly reduce Pyukumuku’s health until it reaches 1, then KO it for a 1 damage Innards Out, all in a single turn.
The strategy of have enough things to cover any possible subversion in your strategy instead of trying to have a flawless stategty that works every time is eerily similar to how actual competitive Pokémon teams are made
frank's scientific process in modding is unmatched
bro is actually the mad scientist professor
I like how they didn’t fully talk about the model for henry
The details are insane
the moment you mentioned henry's typelessness i immediately remembered soak and thought of a simple strategy that just needs soak and an electric move to be able to hit henry
Easy way to deal with wonder gaurd porygons while keeping wonder gaurd, remove the limit on how much you can use burn up and make it fighting
Soak & Gastro Acid shuts down EVERYTHING
If you can get that off. He flinches and if he doesn't, he likely kills.

To be honest, he should of made the move have the Drain Punch effect. That would be actually immortal.

Moves:
Snap. (Normal/Physical, Fake out but 20 power weaker, but can be used multiple times, works like gigaton hammer.)
Finger Gun. Hits 1-3 times, (Normal, 50 base power.)
Hyper Beam. (Reference to his multiple laser attacks.)
Last move you can think of.
2, Crazy Hand, Normal/Psychic
Fire circle, (Fire, 80 Power, 30% burn chance.)

Woah I didn’t know that, you might be onto something
@@AstroidmaniaVideos "Neutralizing Gas cannot suppress another Pokémon's Neutralizing Gas, Multitype, Zen Mode, Stance Change, Power Construct, Schooling, RKS System, Shields Down, Battle Bond, Comatose, Disguise, Gulp Missile, Ice Face, As One, or Tera Shift." this is my source on bulbupedia, but since i don't have a modded switch i cannot theory craft a strategy beyond hurting it with gulp missle. i doubt it can stop it every time, but with some good predictions it might be possible
the description of Burn Up basically killed me I laughed so hard
btw you could have got funnier things by adding heal or drain, like the one from Strength Sap and the one from any draining moves
Can’t wait till next year when he makes an even more immortal Pokemon
you could use a status move that forces the opponent's pokemon to switch out (like hurricane), make it a status move and you can give it priority, it has the same effect as flinching as it doesnt allow the opponent to deal any damage, + you can make it have curse, and other status effects.
You should’ve done a false swipe-type move, and make it poison which would DESTROY innards out.
