Gibson Brothers: Party Tonight - The Best Of 10 Years [Compilation] (1976-86)

This is the last Gibson Brothers post, promise! For those who haven't the patience to sit through an entire studio album, here's an imaginary compilation with all the highlights that wraps up nicely the Gibson Brothers' decade as active recording artists and performers, kicking off in 1976 with their Non-Stop Dance, and reaching its commercial peak in 1979/80 with their chart-busters Cuba (unfortunately I am unable to include it here!) and Qué Será Mi Vida (included here in a 1989 remix). Making its exclusive RUclips-debut here is their 1986 non-album single Party Tonight/Lola here, recorded in London's Air Studios and engineered by Jürgen Koppers who most notably worked with Donna Summer & Giorgio Moroder. The brothers did release a 1988 single called Ends Of The World on WEA (which I don't have) before they fully disbanded. The 90s saw Patrick & Chris Gibson continue as a duo and release a Eurodance album called Move On Up, the 2005 album Blue Island with a new third member who also toured the oldies circuit with them, and an album of re-recordings. Sadly Patrick passed away from a COVID-related infection in April 2020 at the age of just 64.
