Been looking forward to this. Thanks for the review. I ran my second marathon in the velociti elite v2 and overall I enjoyed the shoe a lot. My first marathon was last year in the Endo speed 2 and I've never ran in any other super shoes besides the velociti elite v2. I am currently a 3:42 marathoner. Im a midfoot to forefoot striker so I appreciate the lower drop with more foam in the forefoot. You're absolutely right about that pivot point on the midfoot/ forefoot, if you land more forward the shoe really gets you up on your toes and propels you forward. The combination of the foam, rocker, and plate gets better the faster you go. I liked the wide toebox, and also felt the upper was lower volume but I didn't have any issues with feeling cramped. If youre concerned maybe go up a half size and see how that feels. The upper was very breathable and wrapped around my foot nicely. The dual midsole combo is smooth and the shoe feels snappy and responsive and is definitely on the firm side. No issues with grip but I think under armour should scrap the flow midsole and add some rubber in the v3 to save some weight and add more grip. I found it very interesting that you compared the shoe to the Endo pro 2 because I've been training in the Endo speed 2 for years and the transition to the velociti elite v2 felt similar. I used this shoe in my last marathon build for speed work and marathon effort long runs. My current rotation is the rebel v4 for easy days and velociti elite v2 for speed work and long runs. Overall I think this shoe is best for intervals, tempo, and marathon effort long runs. It's a good shoe that works great if you want one shoe to train and race in. I think it works well up to the marathon distance but I also don't have any experience with any other super shoes. If you do decide the velociti elite v2 is for you then I'd wait to get it on sale as under armour always has sales. I picked mine up at 40% off and at that price I can't really complain. If I had to pay full price I'd probably pick something else. Thanks again for the review and hope this helps anyone looking at getting the velociti elite v2.
I have this shoe and the first thing i want to say is, that it’s a bit short and half size up fit me perfectly and i did not get any of the problems with the toes. Secondly it is heavier than other race-day shoes and makes for a great training partner to an adios pro3 or the Vaporfly 3. The shoe is extremely comfortable because it is stacked with foam and has a great rockered geometry. This combo makes it great for long runs and longer interval sessions. For me this the best “super-trainer” on the market right now and I wouldn’t mind racing in them if i didn’t already own lighter and faster shoes for HM and FM.
I have the velociti wind 2 and it’s too stiff a shoe for me, I’m guessing this might be the same if not stiffer withe the carbon plate. UA machina is a bit softer and more comfortable for me. Thank you for including UA in your reviews!
I’ve been tempted to give these a shot, but I can’t justify the $250 price when there are so many proven shoes in that price range and even cheaper. Perhaps when they eventually go on sale I’ll pick up a pair, but I’ll pass at full price.
Thanks for your review! This was my first time trying an UA shoe. As a tempo trainer it’s superb: Versatile, smooth, not plush. The plate provides consistent forward propulsion and reminds me of the original Craft CTM Ultra Carbon, which I used to PR in the 100-mile distance and had a similar firmer ride. Not sure about racing in it given the very low drop. At slower speeds it could definitely be an ultra road shoe, but the lack of any rubber prevents gravel or road-trail. I would buy again!
ah, very interesting that you bring up Craft. I'm not sure I'd completely agree with the CTM Ultra Carbon comparison, but there are definitely other shoes in the lineup that have a reminiscent density (the Px foam shoes)
@@ballgameshoes8583 it’s true, but if you don’t believe it’s ok, I can sell them to you for 200.00 you pay shipping, size 11.5 I’m 10.5 and they fit perfect! Not used!!!
For me Version 1 is way better than Version 2 just because V2 weighs alot more. V1 is perfect for intervals, tempo, 5K or 10K runs. AND if you get it on sale as I did. Its over priced at SRP.
I think Under armour still has a very looonnngggg way to go before they make running shoes that will compete against ASICS, Saucony, New Balance etc....
The under armor infinite pro breeze is the best daily trainer on the market right now. As someone who works at a fleet feet I’ve tried pretty much everything and the infinite pro breeze is better then any of the shoes our fleet feet carries

I've never participated in hyrox. The shoes that I would think would be best for hyrox tend to be the opposite of what seems to be popular amongst hyrox athletes
It's a very subjective question. But out of those I'd probably choose the Novablast. I had V3 of Novablast and was very happy with those. Got no experience with New Balance.
altra vanish carbon 2 is a zero drop shoe (but I will take a moment to point out that I don't think we can equate comfort and lower drop. for example, the Hoka Carbon Rocket was a 1mm drop shoe and I don't think anyone would have classified that one as comfy)
@@kofuzi Check out the Flow Velociti 3... a better update to the Velociti wind that Kofuzi reviewed a few years back...Velociti 4 coming soon. Also Infinite Pro or Elite are good options for traditional long distance training, if your looking for that work horse daily trainer for the year.
I don't own a single UA shoe. Might this be the one to tempt me? I'm leaning towards no. Kind of heavy for a racing shoe. Even with no outsole! I'm not a forefoot striker so I don't think I benefit from that extra "fulcrum" weight. And the inability to accommodate simple foot swelling as you note is the final nail. But hey. You could tell people you are bean powered. 💨
I think the biopebax would make it that long (the foam in the endorphin pro 2 felt like it was indestructible) but that SC Flow midsole/outsole layer could be the limiting factor.
Yeah. I bought the first generation one and they were terrible. Barely enough toe space (even going half a size up) and almost always gave me chafing...I was very disappointed for the price point. I definitely would agree that it's more of shorter distance shoe.
you couldn't pay me enough money to run in a pair of under armours lol 🤣 especially at that price point. so many better and proven options in the market

Wow that shallow toe boxes were really a dealbreaker for me.
Good morning. Today, I don't see this brand/model at 🇪🇸 Spain. Like to Kofuzi. Have a great friday.
I just checked out the Velociti Elite 2 with a 75% discount, for around USD 64. 😂
Hope it’s value for money! 🤪
Got mine for almost 80% off. $70 Canadian from $315 (Which still shows $315 in the UA website from same color).
very very nice
Not having outsole is a good thing for me. I am tired of glueing outsoles.
Can you use these for a hyrox race? Plus what are your hyrox shoe recommendations?
I've never participated in hyrox. The shoes that I would think would be best for hyrox tend to be the opposite of what seems to be popular amongst hyrox athletes
I raced HYROX Cape Town in the PUMA Deviate Nitro 3, it was really great!
Any chance you’ll be reviewing the new Velociti Pro? Seems to be UAs version of the Endorphin Speed.
It’s in the queue
My man!
can you review the chinese brand 361 Flame 3.0? it's a carbon plated shoe but on the cheaper side
Planning to buy running shoes, which is the best among these ones.
Nike Pegasus 41
New Balance Fuel Cell Rebel V4
Asics Novablast 4
It's a very subjective question. But out of those I'd probably choose the Novablast. I had V3 of Novablast and was very happy with those. Got no experience with New Balance.

not really. I've run in altras with carbon.
