Here it is guys, an exclusive first look at the new Glock 43. We were lucky enough to get our hands on a pre-production example before they are available to the public and let us say that the G43 does not disappoint. Rest assured, no major modifications will be made to the production line that we are aware of other than very minor changes to the magazine to increase feeding reliability with a wide range of HP ammunition. As with any semiautomatic pistol, small, correctable issues may arise using particular hollowpoint ammunition that the firearm just doesn't like in initial testing, and we did experience two very minor issues in this initial range session.
Stay tuned to the entire video for all the details on this much anticipated single stack 9mm as well as ballistics testing and our final thoughts. Expect a second look at what the G43 has to offer when Chad and I are able to procure a couple of these pistols after they hit the market in mid April.

Really appreciate the time and effort that went into this. Looking forward to taking my first look at it real soon. Reliability looks to be excellent.
Eric you will always be the first to have reviewed the G43 on youtube. I just wish Barry had been here for this. Thank you so much for this video.
Is Barry ok?
@@billydeewilliams9104 he passed away years ago.
I know this is a old video I just recently bought a G43x m.o.s gen5 and I have two words to say FRIKIN AWESOME
Nice little piece huh??
I'm impressed with how accurate it is. I use mine for pocket carry.
I just bought one..to be honest this is my first gun I own...
Kind of late..but welcome to the club😁
Eric, I just want to say, you're a great guy. You just seem like a genuinely good person who loves guns. In all honesty, I wish you had some air time on mainstream media. I feel that people who are anti gun, might change their mind after listening to you.
Stay classy Eric. And thanks for all the hard work. You guys are the best!
Nice job guys. For sure one of your best defensive pistol reviews yet. You had everything, the long distance gong, and gel testing. You've really stepped up!
Thank you for a really fine video, guys.
I think this is one of your best video yet, I sure enjoyed it.
You all are good guys, good shots, and good videographers, thanks for all you do.
Now we want a single stack 10mm
Haha
Glock: 10 rd single stack 9mm, got it
@@markblanc5993 he wants it in 10mm not 9mm
Chad's knock against the Shield is that the grip is longer (yes it is, but it hold more rounds than the 43) then goes on to say that someone will make grip extensions for the 43 to give it the same capacity as the Shield.
groovejet484 yeah hes just an average glocktard.. id love for someone to explain how that makes sense at all. Hes an arrogant little prick as well. His stupidity aside i simply hate the dude.
Awesome Video Guys! I just picked up a 43 and I love it! When you carry something on your body every day you have to like what you carry, and I love it!
Thanks Georgia Gents!! What a great video! I truly enjoyed this video and it answered a lot of questions that I had. I'm like Chad and was thinking about the Shield but now I'm glad I waited for Glock to get its 43 out. Thanks again for such a great video, looked like it was fun too!!

Just barely pooped out the end of the block.
LMFAO!!!!!!!!!
Seems like a good partner to my G19 :)
I think the best partner to your G19 is a G26. A G43 is more like a mistress.
I’m with you Austin I’ve got the 19 and the 43
@@fakecubed g26 is only valid for fat people. I’m skinny. I use a Glock 43 so I don’t look like I’m carrying a fat double stack duty gun in my waist.
@@jonboy9734 people need to understand skinny people with t shirts need this 43! I have a plus 2 vickers tactical on my 43 with 3 other mags ready 9 rounds is enough. These mags don’t jam and they’re actually pretty amazing I trust them with my life!
Good job with the video. I really enjoyed how you kept it moving and showed how the pistol performed with many assorted carry rounds.
Great video guys...There are a lot of great single stack 9s out right now that I've tried and or carry but I am definitely looking forward to getting my hands on the Glock 43
"It's no surprise that this gun came along when it did." About 3 years later than S&W, Walther, Ruger, Kel-tec, Kahr, and Beretta.
I love my G43. It goes where I go.
Great video guys. I had been trying to decide on what to buy as far as an easily concealable gun, and I think I just found it. I love the Shield, I was really impressed with it, and I also liked the small Ruger, but at the end of the day, I am a Glock fan, and it's due to the reliability of the guns that they make. This gun seems to be no different than the rest, in that I never saw you guys have an issue that wasn't easily taken care of. Thanks for taking the time to do a great review, and happy gunning to all those gun fans out there. We live in a great country, where we are able to own and enjoy the guns we love. Yeah! Go Glock!
Great video guys! I really enjoyed seeing the Lehigh Defense ammo run through it.
Glock designed themselves out of the whole "Does it take Glock mags" question
Is the 26 like the same just double stack
Like the video and the gel test with all the different hollow points, nice shooting. Keep up the good work and good videos! Over all nice gun
Awesome first look thanks! Already on the wait list at my LGS!
It’s November 2019 and I have the Glock 43 and the 43X. They are very reliable, and not bad on the wallet. 😉🖖🏼😎🛸
Which one do you like best? I have a 43x and absolutely love it. But thinking about getting a 43 for summer time CCW...the 43x is just fine though. But you can never have too many guns
@@whiteyfisk9769 You are right, you can never have too many guns. The 43X fits better in my hand, I'm a big guy 6'5" and 380, so I like shooting the 43X best, but the 43 hides real easy in my pants pocket even with the Hyve industries +2.
@@scubaguy007 See thats my concern, im 6' 5" with big hands too, and the 43x fits perfectly in them. Im worried the 43 will be too small like my G29.
@@whiteyfisk9769 well just get one and see. You can never have too many guns. 😉
@@scubaguy007 Yes sir!!!! lol
I am going to stick with my Shield, but the 43 looks like a solid choice, particularly for those that carry other Glocks.
Ditto.
Great to see you guys getting back to the basics with your videos
Lehigh Defense 105gr is what I carry in my G43 Awesome round and super happy to see you demo it!! I installed a Glock store 2+ mag ext for the G43 and is the same size as my Shield 9mm.
I own 2 of the best sub-compact pistols on the market!
Thanks, great video!
Can you guys do a video comparing gas piston and direct impingement by shooting them a lot and seeing which one fails first.
yes, please
That would be greaaaat
Man you guys should really leave that poor horse alone. It's been dead for so long now.
Yup!_iam_a_boss AR-15 platform, right? Like an MR556 and colt le6920 SOCOM?
LOL.. just type it in the search box dummy, been done over and over and over again already. If you don't know the pros and cons to each system by now there's no helping you.
Great video as always!

@Colby Timothy it did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I am so happy:D
Thank you so much you really help me out :D
@Musa Jeremiah You are welcome =)
Awesome review thanks for all you do guys!
New subscriber but I love your videos, I've spent hours going through you playlists. I bought a glock 43 as my first ever firearm purchase (not first firearm but first of-age purchase), just waiting for paper work of course, but can't wait!
Cant wait!
personally i think id rather sacrifice a small amount of width and have a double stack 26. its not that much but worth it. great vid - just my opinion
Great video, enjoyed the ballistic gel testing. At first I thought too little to late for this gun but really liking the size and accuracy you'll were getting. I'll still probably wait a couple years till the price goes down though.
Great review! Thanks for the time and effort put into it.
It is a gun. It makes BOOM. It sends fast lead downrange.
What not to like!?
Stefan Wolf well its a glock that just annoys some people
Using the slide STOP to drop the slide is not the manual of arms. It is not its intended use. It is a slide STOP. Per the manual of arms, the only way to drop the slide on a Glock is to rack the slide.
There is no Glock ever produced that has a slide release. The lever is a slide STOP and that is its only intended function. It even says in the manual that using the slide STOP to RELEASE the slide and put a live round into battery, will not guarantee 100% reliability.
It's the same as people who load an M1 Garand incorrectly. They place the clip into the rifle, and slap the op load to seat the bolt home. The correct procedure is to pull back on the op rod as you lock the clip into the place (all with your right hand) and the forward momentum of the bolt will chamber the first round with 100 percent reliability.
Yep!! And I was posting this due to all the people already jumping on saying the 43 is not reliable because it "malfunctioned" 2 times in a few hundred rounds. It didn't malfunction, it wasn't operated properly. I wasn't criticizing you or the video. Hope you know that. :-)
Then why do the target models have the factory extended slide stop. .... yeah, so you can actuate it easier. And, using the slide stop is significantly faster than racking the slide during reloads... Just use ammo that doesn't hang up. Critical Defense/Duty typically feed very well.... it's the wide mouthed JHPs that you have to worry about.
The extended slide stop is designed so you can, with one hand. Easily lift the stop with the edge of your thumb knuckle as you bring the slide back without a magazine inserted.
singletrack29349 ha no. Its a slide STOP. So your saying its easier to push down on the little slide stop than grabbing the slide with your whole hand? You should optimize your firearm handling for stress, not to be easy.
Love this gun, my 3rd Glock. Added Talon grip, Taran Tactical 2 round extension and XS Big Dot sights. Daily carry is the Galco Ankle Glove with calf extension. 8+1 on the ankle and practice, practice, practice at the range. Good review.
Slap some trijicon hd sights on that bad boy! Glock perfection. Great video guys!
Anyone else notice how many used M&P Shields are posted for sale on local classifieds? I know mine is...
i used to have one lol
The Shield is an excellent weapon. Don't sell it!
Crap I just bought a m&p shield 9mm a few hours ago I guess I should have waited a few weeks
Why wait to spend 200 dollars more for a slightly smaller gun with less capacity and we aren't sure if it will suck like the 42 did when it first came out.
Perry Hughes better for concealment than a smith & wesson shield deep concealment pistol.
Great video guys!
Hats off to a great little intro to the new g43! Glock was smart to let you roll with it!
Great video guys! Very in depth for a first look which is awesome! I bought my 10 year old daughter the G42 for her birthday so I'm gonna need this G43 to match 👍🇺🇸
I think Glock missed out on a huge opportunity. Had they released this when S&W first released the Shield with its manual safety, they would sold a ton. Now that the Shield and XDs have been out for several years, there is less demand for a low(er) capacity single stack 9mm. I am really shocked Glock resisted producing a single stack 9mm for so long - disappointing.
Yes, they waited years to put out what others are doing, but they will sell a ton of these easy. I gambled on a Beretta Nano and I have to say it has grown on me. I won't be replacing it any time soon.
I am thinking about the Ruger LC9s Pro. The trigger feels incredible. At only $375.00, it's a bargain. Plus Ruger customer service is outstanding.
***** Don't get me wrong, I'll always have my Glock 19 and 26, but for a single stack, the Beretta has worked well so far.
MGD44MAG $330.00 on Buds Gun Shop right now. Got mine for $339 at Kentucky Gun Co.
R.J. L. You mean the LC9s? I meant the LC9s Pro. They are hard to find. Saw one at local gun shop in GA a few weeks ago. Should have bought it. Oh well.
Glock 19 does it all!
762x39warrior p320 is even better
Robert Wilkinson Lmao no it's not. P320 is a drop firing chunk of trash and sig lost all credibility when they made what should have been a full recall a "voluntary upgrade." Sig is garbage, buy H&K or Glock.
really great video, especially with the gel tests for rip and the leehigh ammo. thank you! very informative, well done. oh and buffalo bore +p+!
awesome guys!!! great video, i really liked the different HP being put through the gun.good stuff
Love this weapon. Just got one. Glock is perfection
This feels very parallel to hickoks style of video.
*****
Yeah I am going to have to agree night and day with over all video and review styles.
Nah. Hickok never edits the video. He just hits "record" and goes for it. This is a little more polished. I like both channels btw...
how can shooting steel get any different???
quinnjim
I have heard Hickok comment numerous times about John's expert editing ability.
Difference is hicock is a racist former cop. And iraqveteran8888 is a fucking hero, shit!
Thanks for the vid. A perfect example of why one should never get used to using the slide stop to release the slide no matter what type of pistol. Thanks again!
Great video. Glad you did a gel test and it's awesome that you were able to get one pre-release. One of my favorite videos of yalls
It's a Glock. What more is there to say. Think I've found the next gun I buy. - dochinson
Remember the Mercedes 180? Not a Mercedes.....just in name.
avalon449 Hmmm, made by Glock, it is a Glock SMDH
Imagine rip in 7.62x54R
I don't think the internet could handle that much awesome...lol
This Northern Sky Agree it wouldn't be my choice to carry that stuff.
This Northern Sky don't care 7.62x54R immediately out weighs any opinion you might have of the RIP ammo.
This Northern Sky I actually don't care for the RIP ammo either but it would do some nasty stuff to that ballistic jell if used in that cartridge.
Imagen it in 25 acp or 22lr that would be badass but in 50 cal that would be overkill
Good video. Good that you include the gel shots and slo-mo.
Thank you for a great video I like it that you shot the different types of hollow point self defense ammo and also the gel test to show what each would do
Much rather have the sig. 4 more rounds in a similar sized gun. +2 with the sig if you use the extended mag for a size still smaller than a flush shield.
Yea but Sigs arent drop safe
Better late than never I guess...
LOL seems that Glock has a perception that people will ditch their carry nine's for the "new" 43 . . . We will soon see :3))
Mayor Fuglycool
Mayor Fuglycool It won't happen. lol
Mayor Fuglycool
My Shield and Kahr isn't going anywhere anytime soon!
darkraynjaw Want to make a wager? They'll be so many LC9, LC9S, and Shields on the used market that you'll be able to pick them up for 250$ Not because the 43 is necessarily better but because it's the newest thing on the block!
darkraynjaw well working in a gun store and seeing the stats, I can tell you this is the most anticipated gun ever. We already have a wait list a mile long. So.. actually I think they will trade em in.
Thanks for the great review guys. Awesome job!!!
Great video guys! I definitely enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to get my hands on a G43! I think most of us have some Glock envy right now!
I think im still gonna go with the shield....
Glad I bought my S&W Shield and didn't wait for this.
I have two Shields but will be picking up two of these too...
My M&P shield 9mm is the best carry gun I ever owned, it carrie is well in a crossbreed holster!!
jtlbz agreed. I carry my apex'd shield in a comptac infidel ultra and it carries well...
Seven round capacity kills the deal for me, to big for pocket carry and to few rounds for serious situations. You can't put big gun rounds in little guns, something has to be compromised when this happens and it's not good!
*****
Well yeah ok, as always the best policy is always buy 2 of each. But for those of us who aren't named Iraqvet888 and have 25 million guns sometimes one of each is what we have to live with lol.
Great video guys. Can't say I'm convinced yet that it's worth giving up my LC9s, but you certainly have the best video I have seen so far.
Great video guys and thank you for reviewing this gun. I was one of those screaming for this gun for some time and wrote to Glock about it. I got the shield and I have the G26, but I have to get this one! Can't wait for them to hit the shelves!
Recently picked up a M&P Shield 9mm as my new concealed carry instead of waiting for the G43 to release. I have no regrets!
We have a WINNER !!!!!!!!!!!!
At being mediocre?
jimbo111589 To me it's quite clear to see that it mimics the FNS-40C. Even in the NAME you have FNS-40C(3) and then you have Glock-43 but the FNS was out December and the Glock-43 is just now coming out in March. I love FN firearms. I never been a Glock fan at all.
Perry Hughes It's hard to hear their cries over the pathetic, shrill screaming of the Glock Fan-boys....
CityofShamballah Glock numbers their guns by the number of patents they hold. The G43 was their 43rd registered patent. Stop drinking the FNS Kool-Aid.
Shantra Mulani It's pretty damn obvious it's a knockoff of FNS-40C(3). No gun compares to FN dude. Probably only Springfield.
Awesome job as always. Thanks for the early look at the G43. Looks like a nice pistol. Will look great in the stable next to my G42.
Excellent video!!! I particularly liked the jell testing!!
Xds & shield ftw
Why wouldn't Glock make this a seven round standard mag? I guess they're just counting on the fanboys. I'll stick with my XDs.
Yup... No mention that the 43 is markedly more expensive than all the very very good single stack options already available? Must be brain damage from all that brass to the face...
Yes, XDs.
tinncan nahhh it's about the same as the XDs, but they are both more expensive than alternatives..
Honestly if this is closer to the size of the XDs and Shield then it is too big to pocket carry.
If I can't carry and draw from semi-loose jeans, it's not a pocket gun
I got my XDs for $100 less than what this Glock is going for. Normally I carry it IWB, but I also pocket carry in an Alabama holster in my front pocket when necessary. Jeans, cargo shorts, sweatpants, whatever. It's not too big.
Glock HATES this video!
SuperSneakySteve I know right. I was just watching IV8888 new glock 19 gen 5 vid and heard about how much Glock hated this video.
@@BigTexasIron why did they hate it?
Taylor Phillips probably the FTF.
Great review. The Shield did the same thing with the slide lock/release for me but over time it's getting smoother. Looking forward to a side-by-side comparison with the Shield!
Great video guys, thanks for giving us the first look at the Glock 43. You guys are a great source of info.
So now the question is, Shield or 43? Right now I'm thinking shield based on price.
Both
***** not everyone has the cash :P
KaszanaKaszani I think he just means BOTH are a good choice.
I regret spending $360 on a Shield. Too many malfunctions for me and it feels cheaper than it costs. For me personally I will be getting the 43 to replace my shield. I do get a bluelabel discount which makes the 43 cheaper than the shield though.
Adam K oh alright
Yeah, I'll stick with my M&P Shield.
Awesome, can't wait to get one! Thanks for your vids, they are great.
this is a great vid! i just recently heard about this pistol and i was curious about it. i've been looking for a new carry conceal too. thanks!
SO IS BASICALLY A REVOLVER???
Uhhh...Yeah! Didn't you see him loading rounds into a cylinder? And that hammer striking the firing pin...oh wait....
The guys that buy into the Glock hype are the same guys that buy a new iPhone...... every........ damn........ year....
Not saying I hate Glock, but I do hate fan boys that believe that everything else is crap and who think Glocks are "perfect"
Glock is certainly not perfect. But then again, I can't say I know a person that's perfect nor a situation that ever goes according to plan. Also, I don't think I've met many people that are truly capable of setting aside their preconceived judgments and egos long enough to just enjoy what they are doing at that given time and just let things happen. Just my two cents for what it's worth.
***** Glocks aren't perfect, but they're the closest thing to it..... magazine compatibility is what throws it on top in my book.
I look at it this way, if you want a good range gun, or collectible piece of history, or even a marvel of precision machining to awe over than it's far from perfect. But it's one of the best compromises for a carry gun IMHO. I'm not a huge Glock fan either. I don't think they're as collectible, nor have as much history as say CZ or Beretta, or a nice WWII relic like a hi-power or 1911, its not as good at the range compared to a SAO option like a 1911 with a nice light, crisp trigger either. But if I could only have one gun for a carry gun it would probably be a Glock as it's just a really good compromise for carry. Since I live in Canada and buying a handgun for CCW is out of the question there are many other handguns I'd rather have before owning a Glock! Again, something for the beauty, classy style, collectible value, historical significance or just as a range toy there are many pistols that are WAY better to me. Yet as a simple tool the Glock is hard to beat. I wouldn't go as far as to compare it to an Apple product. Apple products are over-priced. Glocks are kinda middle of the road price wise. I mean a nice polished stainless CZ-75B or mid range 1911 like a Sig or Ruger for example is going to cost more than a Glock. But for $500 with the good warranty service you get over the lifetime of a Glock they really aren't a bad value. I don't hate on them unless the person talking about them is one of those over the top fanboy types. The Glock is like the Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic of handguns. Nothing wrong with a Honda Civic as a daily driver if it means you can also have a classic muscle car to drive on the weekends! Guys like Eric want the Glock as their daily driver but still lust to take out that other car to play with on the weekend!
Nick Bowers
yep, that's what I was thinking....when is the 30 rounder coming out for this. lol. Not a fan of Glock at all. never was a fan of SW autos at all but the Shield was tempting...bought it, and it's still my favorite gun after 2 years. Guess being close minded isn't always a good thing like many Glock owners.
Is someone jealous.
Awesome! Great job guys, very excited about this new gun!
Good job guys, thanks. Looked like fun shooting all those hollow points!
Why would glock want this video taken down?
my reply (up)
If it wasn't almost 600 freaking dollars, I'd be all over it. Hello M&P Shield.
Keep up the vids guys, I really enjoy them :)
Great video Eric and great job getting the 43 from glock. I really appreciate your videos.
HEY another glock I don't want
If i'm only gonna have 6 rounds, why not have a .357mag.?
just love this gun as much as your guy's videos, thanks
Very informative video guys, and great shooting as well.
Chad, you had two malfunctions that you glossed over!
Thanks Eric, at least you addressed the malfunctions.
this clip is what glock call "reliability test video". they made hickok45 do the same test with the glock 42. it's just pre-release publicity.
they are not malfunctions when a Glock does it. it's the ammo's fault. always.
If I was gay, I'd buy this gun
So.......what you're saying is that your new 43 is gonna be kept in the closet?
TheArmedRN LMAO! That was perfect
You don't wanna know what gun is in my closet, lady. No, enough with the jokes... The gun is a day late and $200 too much. It only holds 6 rounds, so I might as well carry a revolver. Why buy the G43 for $580 when I can get the Shield for $400 and sometimes cheaper?!?!? I mean I bought a G20 10mm for less than $580. You can go to Bud'sGunShop and buy a Taurus 1911 for that price. Not only did Glock fail by being so late to the party, they set the price so high ...because they know that people have been begging for this gun. It's pathetic on their part. Then, they finally deliver and make the gun and it only holds 6 rounds. No I won't be buying this gun.
Go home comment you're drunk...
Haha perfect timing 8888!!
Great video and first look at the G43. Thanks.
Fantastic video, brotha. You guys definitely knocked it outta the park with this review. Thanks for the good work, and keep it up!
Chad is a fanboy. I can smell it from here. It's not a bad thing, he's used to glocks. But don't talk down the proven shield, to make this mediocre gun seem better.
Berry would have been straight up!
You don't need to smell it when he says he didn't get a Shield because he was hoping Glock would come our with a subcompact 9.
jimbo111589 When I hear the word "fanboy", it is usually derogatory in it's context and in it's nature, if you will. Is this how you "smell" it there jimbo? What is this word, fanboy? Do you prefer the S&W brand over the Glock brand? Does this make you a fanboy? Do you prefer 9mm over .40cal? Does this make you a fanboy? Can you see how people such as myself, will not be able to take you seriously when you speak with such immaturity? Name calling? Really? What are we, twelve? Got any hair on those peaches yet there, jimbo? See how ridiculous it is? Maybe you can come up with a new word, all by yourself. I like Glock and S&W, what does that make me there, Shirley? Know what I smell? you're full of shit! Mediocre? Now you're a freakin' psychic too? This pistol hasn't hit the market yet! But apparently, you, in your infinite wisdom, have it all figured out. Way to go there bubba!
I will be replacing my Shield with the Glock 43 for my everyday carry. The trigger doesn't compare to Glock unless of course you upgrade to the apex tactical ($150) not only that; when I need to pull there's no thought of a safety switch with a Glock. #notafanboy
Glock > Shield. Shield is oversized and overweighted for what it is, its one of the larger single stack 9's. Kahr, Ruger, Keltec, and now Glock make true single stacks, the Shield is on the large end of it. Great gun, but for 1 oz more unloaded I can have a 26.
I carry the glock 43 as well I had the same problem with the slide at first I just kept playing with it and chambering it over and over to get that new metal dull and it is a very reliable weapon thank you for the honest opinion
Awesome first look. Thank you sooo much for putting this out.
Always great review, very comprehensive information. Two thumbs up.
Great review guys! keep up the good work
I pre-ordered Glock 43 last week from kiesler police supply $359. There not allowed to start shipping until April 10. I was excited before, but now after watching this, its going to be a long 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the video great job as always.
Great first look, thanks!
I have been waiting for this gun since the 42 came out. I was a week away from buying the newer Ruger LC9S but will now be buying this for my everyday concealed carry. Thank you Moss Pawn & Gun for your awesome review at just the right time.
