We’ve decided to officially name the show “Keepers Corner”. Thanks so much for all your suggestions 👍🏼👍🏼
I’ve looked at all your comments last week and was amazed by the amount of love for the show you lovely lot ❤️
We’ve added two new segments, the first one is Watto and I analysing an iconic goal / moment and the was that infamous Sergio Aguero 94th minute winner, which won Man City their first Premier League title in 2012! We looked at Paddy Kenny and what he could have done differently during this big moment ⚽️
The second NEW segment is Save of the Week! We grabbed the best saves from this weeks action, have broken them down and explain why they were INCREDIBLE saves. We’ve then chosen our Save of the Week!
Just to be very clear again…..We aren’t goalie bashing here, we’re just explaining what the goalie could have done differently and discuss if the outcome could’ve been different 🙌🏼

the goalkeepers perspective is one of the most overlooked things in football or even sports in general. i am glad we have you both :)

This level of analysis is a rare thing in football, no fluff or controversy, not trying to spread an ulterior motive or look for drama, just two industry veterans chatting about stuff most people are clueless about. Love it. 👍
Recommendation: Use an overhead view when you're describing angles, as it makes it easier for us to visualize. Also recommend that when showing the still frames of the goal, make the first look full screen, then you can make it smaller as you describe it.
Love this show. Looking forward to it every week. I don't know very much about football, and I love learning from folks like you.

The analysis on the aguero goal as a goalkeeper myself was incredibly insightful, had never heard the bit on the hands being to low before.
This format works so well because it's two people who absolutely love what they're doing. It's always nice to listen to people who are truly passionate, and informed, about the subject matter.
I'm sharing these videos with my two kids who are top goalkeepers at their ages, learning loads. Keep it up you two, this analysis is sorely lacking in football today and we need more of it from actual "qualified" people and not some aging striker on tv saying "oh, he shouldn't get beat at his near post" or "the goalkeeper needs to do better"... Bravo!

I can't begin to tell you how excited and happy I am to see this.
I identify so much with it! From Ben saying this is why he doesn't miss playing football because being a goalkeeper is so, so tough to the look of sheer childlike joy and excitement on his face when talking about the saves or the details that went into them.
Please, please keep doing these. The detail is fantastic and for those of us who have played in goal and have some idea of what we're supposed to do(even if we never did it particularly well!) it's so refreshing that the hardest position on the pitch is finally getting the analysis that it deserves rather than the asinine rubbish we get on tv.

Such a great comment about treating the 6 yard box as your new "posts". And engaging in that cross as a goal stopping scenario and treat it exactly as you would in a normal diving position. I will use that same language teaching those actions going forward. Thanks, my new favorite series on youtube.

Back for a second week! Think these are great. Would be fun to pull some world class saves from years prior inside and outside the PL to break those down. Like the 2006 WC final with Buffon.

Love the show boys. It's great to hear the real nuts n bolts of football. As someone who gave up watching the drivel on TV years ago, this is how it should be done.
Thanks for making these videos coming from a 21 year old playing goalkeeper in college in America and having pro trials coming up, along with being a goalkeeper coach my self it helps me learn a lot, just wondering if there is a chance to get the video instead of freeze frame pictures of the goals,

Great show guys, I was at Forest - Liverpool this year. The drop-ball game. Late on Matz Sels pulls off a worldie from his own defender but concedes an arguably easier but very similar header from Nunez moments later. Concentration due to the atmosphere the stadium post drop ball incident? Not set? What do you think?

Ben what's your thoughts on the second coventry goal. To me it looks like onana gives up on it before the ball has even gone over him and he isn't even wrong footed. I get there's a deflection but its in the air for so long surely at that level you can react quick enough

On the diogo jota goal. Is it not a common thing to mark up your lines in front of you so you havent got to check back to see where you're stood if you did lose your barings for you goal? so as an example, scuffing the ground slightly on the edge of the 6 yard box where its in line with either post . Something i was taught when i was a kid.
Looking forward to the Alisson Becker analysis of his 1v1 prowess and what makes him so good at them

What about the one that looped over Onana from the deflection?? there was alot of confusion from the fans as to whether he gave up on it or judged that he wouldn't be able to get there regardless

Where you made your comment about body weight and falling back that’s exactly where cucurella went wrong defending for Chelsea and silva scoring. He lunges towards silva leaning back when he’s not close enough to block with his foot. If he stands up on the block he just takes it in the stomach and there was no goal

The Henderson own goal I think he over thinks it ,at first I think he's going to boot it out for a throw, then he gets in two minds and wants to take a touch and by that time it's too late .
