Here are two improvements that I would love to see in a future ON1 update. Live view tethering and being able to save files to both the computer and camera.
Hello Mr Cheswick thanks for the videos and all the information that you provided I enjoyed every video, thanks for the tips on shooting tethering and the soda lighting I have curiosity on that “tripod” you have your camera on what’s that called
I am happy that you enjoyed the videos! It is actually a camera stand that I have had for almost 30 years. It is a Regal/Arkay Regalite-Six. You might be able to find them used, as they last almost forever. Then there is an inexpensive ball head attached to it, the Manfrotto 486RC2. The ball head is not really made for commercial photography but works well for my studio portrait shoots.
Great tutorial Tom. I'd love to be able to do tethered shooting with On1 and my NIkon Z9. However, the camera refuses to connect with On1. Do you or any of your viewers have any guidance as to how I might get my camera to pair with On1? I know that the Z9 is not supported by On1 yet but I have heard whispers that other users have managed to get it to work. Happy New Year, Allan
Hi Allan! How strange, because the Z9 is listed as a supported camera model. on1help.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/20689468602893-Supported-File-Types-and-Camera-models-for-ON1-Photo-RAW-2024 Unfortunately, I can't find a list of supported cameras for tethered shooting, just that ON1 Photo Raw only supports Nikon and Canon cameras. Have you tried contact ON1 Support. You can reach them using this link: www.on1.com/contact-on1/ If ON1 gives you a solution, please post it here to help other Z9 users. Thanks!
