I’m not sure if this is something people even take notice of, it’s a weird specific thing that is probably specific to me, but the way someone starts a verse (especially when they’re coming in as a feature) is one if my favorite parts of hip hop and there’s certain rappers where I just love how they come in on every feature, Slug is one of those so was DOOM. I’ve been rapping for a long time now and I’ve grown a lot from when I was in high school starting, but even those early days making songs with my friends I remember consciously thinking about how I’d come in on the feature, I’d always want to be second because of that haha
