How relatively little Stirling has changed since the day I first set foot there in April 1975. So many people and shops are gone but not the heart. Only 40 miles from my home in Glasgow yet it feels like 400 miles. And you managed to film on a wet day when a walk up to the Castle is a climb.
That was a nice reminder of Sterling. Can't see many of my old homeless or travelling or big issue friends there. Must all be down the railway station. Or the big issue office ❤️😂😂 depending on when you did the walk. Sunday I reckon or Monday
Loved seeing this video of my hometown but it's triggered some really weird emotions. Your wee walk went right past a few of the flats I lived in, the mad pubs I drank in both legally and underage. So many memories in this wee toon, so many of them good ones 😊 Nice to see Michael's Port Customs still going strong (I hear it has a ladies toilet at last 😂) but the pub across the street is now a chippy?! And where are all the Fish Bowl / Costa Steps emo kids? The Big Issue folks? The buskers? The guy selling two pair of socks for a pound? It all feels a bit soulless and so very quiet! A collection of barbers, coffee shops, and people keeping their distance from one another. Kinda sad tbh. Maybe the sound of gentle rain is adding to that sense of melancholy, or maybe I'm just realising I've been missing something that simply doesn't exist anymore.
Beautiful walk, I've been obsessed with Stirling for so many years.💗💗😍

Even in the Stirling looks lovely. The churches look beautiful. Thank you. 😊

I knew Big Issue Lenny 😊
@@JbScot used to hang around in sterling. Big issue office. Many years ago now.
I was looking around for a bagpipe shop on your wee walk

Hello my fellow walkers. How are you doing today? Greetings from Germany?
Scotland will be independent! Little Britain - FOFF!!!
The Scots know better than to squander and toss their crown into the trash. Better not to turn out like Ireland.
@@t.r.mcpherson748 What crown are you talking about? 🤣🤣 About the British fucking under-empire?
