I am owning a rapid 1.0 tsi too and going to complete 3 years this Feb. Ran almost 63500 kms. Similar experience as yours. ABS gone 3 times. Yes, seat especially thigh support was a problem for long drives hence I too customised the driver seat. Regarding warranty issues wrt headlights, horns, alloy wheels I suggest you try TN ASC like Aura motors. I have upgraded it to LED, alloy wheels and skoda superb horns. They don't create any warranty issues with these ASC‘s. I have also upgraded brake rotors to skoda fabias which is better. Always use 95 octane as recommended by skoda since it not only gives better performance but also ensures engine longevity due to knocking issues in turbo engines. Enjoy your drives ...
Thank you brother for your valuable feed back...EVM Cochin is just 10 kms away from my home and thats a blessing for me as a Skoda customer.And,EVM is replacing Rapid‘s horn with Slavia horn and heard that it won’t void warranty.But can‘t trust😁 Also heard that Fabia rotors are best and many owners in the rapid club are using it. And i like stock look and planning to upgrade to 16 inch alloys after stock tyre worn out.Still more kms to go🫤
@@Carsictales. Understand bro. When you have an ASC that is close, it is very difficult to take a decision regarding change of ASC. However consider this, our warranty claims are most likely to happen from 5th year or 50kms upwards. In your case with low kms, the probability of it happening is very low since no major issues in your first 20 k kms. Headlights are very important for our kerala roads at night . In any case we have to service only 15000 kms or a year. So it is just one day in 365 days. So going to a nearest TN ASC that supports legal modifications may not make much dent in your convenience factor too. Anyway its your decision finally.😊. B/w if ASC is changing the horns, it will not impact your warranty since the stock report to manufacturer is submitted by the ASC themselves and they have agreed to change your horns.
