man, your playing is something I aim for! so good! Also, thanks for doing another QC preset build! That Boogie Lonestar is my favorite in the QC, so easy to get an amazing tone! I especially like how you use stock amps and cabs to build the presets to show how you can get great tone straight out of the box.
Awesome. Thanks John. I’ve bought a few of your presets for kemper, Headrush and helix while I was on hiatus with the QC. Just got back yesterday and really looking forward to more. Will have to send you some funds for these.
John you really need to do expensive vs cheap modeller, switch the tones around, watch everyone go "Expensive sounds so much better", then watch response when you tell me audio was reversed. People hear with their eyes.
This is cool - thank you. I’m going to try to recreate this on Boss Katana (they’ve just updated firmware to give a bit more flexibility). Your QC videos are tempting me to spend stupid money on something I don’t need!
Hello. Thanks for the great video. (I hit the GOOD button.) I think Lonestar is 212, can you tell me why you are using 412 instead of 212? Is it because Andy is using two 212s?
Simulação de amp e overdrive dela é no nível das QC e Kemper. A única coisa que é bem abaixo são as modulações, pitch e algumas distortions. Ainda assim na última atualização melhorou muito
Love the tones John. I watched and rewatched the TPS video dialling in the same rig with a Player Strat on Bias FX2. Missed opportunity to use the HSS setup on the Sire on your end though! Andy said he uses the JHS AT exclusively on the bridge pickup. Lovely playing as always man!
I would love to see your approach to getting some Andy Timmons-ish tones from a Headrush unit. It has most of the effects you used on the Hotone, but unfortunately does not have a lone star model.
Great videos and playing as always John. I think I'm right in saying that Andy has his delays in series not in parallel as you have them here. As you say 375/500 which I am told are 1/4 and 1/8d. There are a bunch of discussions on TGP that cover this. He uses an expression pedal to control the mix up and down while playing.
@@johnnathancordy Give it a try with the dual delay on the QC. I was using it last night and I get a wide stereo effect although not 'panned'. It's more ping-pong. I think one of the controls governs series/parallel behaviour. It's not in front of me right now, but I think it's bottom left.
@@johnnathancordy there is one described as 'favourite settings' and there are a few set to all noon which can then be tweaked in the neural capture knowing that his settings don't vary wildly from all noon
I really enjoy your content. I’m wondering if you might go back a little with software and give Scuffham S-Gear a go. I think you might find it really good and responsive. I believe we may see a update soon, but it really is quite a great sounding amp sim. Thanx.
Great walkthrough on replicating a real life board. I didn't spend much time really listening to Andy Timmons in the past but learned a lot seeing you break down his signal chain. Gave a deeper understanding on the "why" behind the "what"...which is appreciated. On the QC, do you usually hard pan both IR's AND the R & L of the mixer?
Just a quick question ... with all the new things right now is the quad still worth the huge investment since it has not deliver on many of its early promises? Really interested in peoples opinions. Thank you
Jonathan, of these two units, which one sits on your wheel house best? I’m considering both of them, but just wondering your thoughts as your playing style and tone is one I can identify with. Cheers!
Man, I bought your presets but can't use them! When I try to import them I get the following message "Wrong patch file. Please check the patch file type or make sure this file is compatible with your device". I received and updated my Ampero Stomp 2 today. Can you help me, please?
I just purchased this patch. I just bought he Ampero 2 but I noticed that the Lonestar amp isn’t available as an option - did you have to upgrade to the latest firmware version?
I’m guessing you’re probably waiting for for nueral to get the store up and running but I’d buy some electradyne and California tweed captures if you ever get around to it.
I'm not waiting for that at all, I upload the presets that I've done in these videos, the captures I got of the Cali Tweed were pretty crap tbh so I don't think you'd want them haha
@@johnnathancordy I saw your new uploads. Haven’t had a chance to try yet but I got it. As for the cali tweed capture , that’s fair. I’m trying to find one local to capture. I’m also gonna capture a couple old Mesa I love from the DC series. The DC3 and the DC10.
Not really, but in that case all it is really doing is being a dual Cab, so in a modeller that's basically best replicated by having a cab left and right? (maybe?)
Which one do you like better? I am a casual, at home player. Is FM3 much better or just slightly? It would be great if they came out with an FM6 with a touchscreen and more DSP. I like Fractal but I feel like they over complicate things a bit.
@@MOAB-UT the Fm3 takes time to get used to, the key is to play with EQ. The stomp ampero is fantastic but effects generally are not great. If you just want a light reverb and delay, it is good and perfect for bedroom player. Can't gig with it though. You can consider the line 6 HX stomp and the boss gt1000 core. If you want complex effects layout , fractal and boss are good. Decent power and sound is line 6, ease of use and sound is ampero and line 6. The Fm3 is the capture only one that cannot dual amp, but you have so many models at your fingers. And again, the key with modellers is the EQ!
@@georgesabitpol Thanks. Surprised to hear you say the effects are not great. Many chose it over the AxeFX in a direct comparison. What is wrong with the effects sans the pitch shifter?
@@MOAB-UT for me the depth of modulation, delays plexiverb, synth, chorus, flanger, univibe and many others are is way way way above hotone. Hotone is perfect for a compressor, drive, cab delay reverb type sound, but the DSP can run quickly down. Fm3 has more headroom but cannot dual amp.
@@georgesabitpol Thanks. I just like how it is under $500. Seems to sound amazing for what most of us will need (not a pro here.) I had a FM9 but the UI was old, it was heavy and overly complex. It sounded good but I sold it (no loss at all.) What other modeler would you suggest for me? Money is not really an issue but again, I am not a pro. I play for my dog- wife use to listen 20 years ago- now she leaves the room after complaining that I have too many guitars are far too many "speakers/amps." 🤩
Man I swear, if you'd have kept it this clean and then punched in some more od swinging into a section you flurry in, the dynamics would bring more emotion in those build up tentative parts. I felt as though I wouldn't ever get to a climax even though the parts are stunning
How would the Hotone compare with the Line 6 HX Stomp since they're about the same price and size? It's always a pleasure to listen to your music JC, thanks and cheers!
Love the ampero!! Keep the ampero videos up🤙🏻
Love the Ampero content, both these presets sound kickass. Andy Timmons is one of my top 5 guitarists ever.
I have a cortex...love it! But that AMPERO tone was so much more alive and warm, delicious! Love your channel man, great work
The most underrated guitar channel on youtube, thanks John

Love this. Please add the preset to the cloud!
the hotone has some form of a velvet texture to it that is absent in the QC. Both sound great.

Double tap a block to bypass (or engage) it on the QC. You don’t have to open the block every time you want to engage or disable it.
Congratulations and thank for that great video.
