From an argyle fan, I’m overjoyed to see Oxford go up. Not only because of the team you are but yourself Jack. The in-depth talks and analysis is something that championship sides should keep an eye on. With you and Tom up together is even more special… good luck to you and enjoy the summer, it’s one hell of a summer in Oxford
Was a little sad at the prospect of us(Pompey) going up and missing out on Jack next season. No worries though we all get good content next season! See you then!
Roy a Pompey fan here, (Forrest's dad Tom), really chuffed you guys made it, and we get another year with you Wardy, and your brilliant chanel, you and Tom are the new 'Saint and Greavesy' if u ask me, very well done indeed, Play up Pompey 👏👏👏
As an a quite old Pompey fan living in far away western Canada I have really enjoyed watching you both all season. So good to see you together celebrating our rise to the championship.
Congratulations! So pleased to see you join Pompey in the Championship! Sparing a thought for Bolton....no! They continued to say they were the best team in L1, yet we left them way behind & you totally outplayed them in the final. In the words of Peter Kay...av it!!! Enjoy the summer Jack, will look forward to your Championship vlogs 😀
Tom and Jack, great vid lads. Well done Oxford United. I'm sure most of us Pompey boys wanted you up with us. Both teams have a great summer coming up and next season in the Championship with no Papa John's Trophy and straight into Round 3 of the FA Cup!
Derby fan here. Delighted for you Jack. Have so enjoyed your class act analysis of League one this year and that you will be bringing your insights to the Championship. Bolton fans will be hurting. They need to remember that the darkest hour is the one before dawn
Hi Jack, and Tom, I have to say Jack the best team won by a Country mile, and I have to say CONGRATULATIONS 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Fully deserved mate. As a Bolton fan I am truly gutted and at a loss as to the performance of Bolton and the way we lossed. Enjoy it Jack, you and Oxford fully deserved it. I will still be watching yours and Tom's channels as I love them. Enjoy your summer
Glad Oxford did it! Bolton thought they had won the final any1 would have thought when they bet my team barnsley! What a big mistake! It was only the semis! Gud look Oxford and all the best for next season 👌, seeing you again Bolton lol
I thought that watching the Bolton fans celebrating on the pitch after losing to Barnsley but qualifying. It looked like they thought it was just that turning up at Wembley would be enough.
Told ya, you're coming up with us Jack,... and Thogdens staying down with Lincoln 😢,.. great support from Oxford, although big empty Bolton spaces,...2 good goals... Play up Oxford, Oxford play up...
BWFC fan. Firstly, congratulations to Oxford. We were completely outplayed on the day and you guys fully deserve the win and promotion. What a day you must have had and I am only happy for you and have no complaints. We seemed the polar opposite of our usual dominant selves and cannot think of any moment in the match where we even troubled you. I’d love to see a tactical/ stat breakdown of where it went so wrong for us I just cannot pinpoint it. Murphy was brilliant for you. In fact the whole team was solid, Des got the setup 100% right for you guys. Keep up the good work with the channel and best of luck in the championship next season. 👍
So so pleased for you Jack and all the other Oxford fans that follow your vlogs, I said on Friday I thought you would do it, Bolton from the backroom staff to the management, players and even the fans thought it was in the bag......the players body language when they were booed off half time said it all.......see you in the championship next season mush!
Congratulations from a Bolton fan. You deserved it and outclassed us and we were pathetic. Good luck next season. From our side im absolutely devastated mate, never felt pain like it, and those players should be ashamed apart from Dempsey. No effort whatsoever
I’m so incredibly proud of you Jack, what an amazing season of content and it makes me beam that Tom was there with you for ‘the’ moment. You two have a friendship that has been a joy to be privy to. Take it from me you will be best pals until you’re grey and old - that’s just the way it goes! Enjoy all the celebrations that you so thoroughly deserve young man.
I was waiting for this video, wondering where it was. I'd looked thirty times at RUclips and here it is. Well done, Oxford. And what joy that the mutual podcasts get to go on. I was really sorry in the later parts of the season, and it looked like Lincoln were going to leapfrog everyone, to think the Pompey were going to leave Jack Ward and his great analysis behind, but not a bit of it! First five minutes and I wondered how long Oxford could keep it up. Turned out all game! Bolton never got one single shot on target the whole game. Hard to win like that! Well done Oxford! Bring on next season. What joy!
I have to admit that I didn't see it coming but a huge congrats to Oxford and of course you too. Thanks for your videos and the incredible insight into League One throughout the season.
Great day, feel sorry for Bolton their fans were great all day, we had a drink with some before and chatted about the game, just as it should be! We are obviously up against it next season but just to get in to the championship is huge for us
Firstly cheers everyone 🍺🍻⚽️and well done to Oxford united sealing their place in the championship next season. Couldn’t be more proud for Jack and his family and every travelling fan that went to Wembley to see their team get the win. Well done Oxford united. A great interview Jack and Tom and safe travels when it’s time to head home. The new season isn’t too far away so let’s look forward to more excellent content work from our amazing TLOP lads. Tom. Jack. Knappers and Jake. You’re all amazing. Sending lots of BIG love and hugs. My boys. Gill.xxx💙💙💙💙⚽️👏👏👏👏👏🥰🤗😘
Hi good friend,I saw your emotional video with him and your beloved Oxford United wanted to win this final more than them and totally deserved to win and be promoted to the English Championship!!!I want to see you ever continue uploading only the English League One based videos as you are not just the hardcore Oxford United supporter, the king of English League One's content creator, good friend!!!LONG LIVES RESPECTIVELY TO BOTH YOU AND OXFORD UNITED,GOOD FRIEND!!!🏋️♂️
Congratulations Jack and your team, fully deserved to advance to the Championship, better in every department on the biggest stage in English football, which is the best place to win and the worst place to lose. Oxford turned up and sadly for us we never did. Losing is part of the beautiful game of football and can only learn from it like Oxford did earlier in the season against us. Good luck Jack in the Championship your vlogs fully deserve to be at a higher level. As for my team we go again next season and that is what supporting your team is all about.
Some day for Oxford, I had them on my bet so was equally happy, nice fans Oxford and deserved that win, even better against Bolton who thought they just needed to turn up to win.. see you next season Jack. Love from Malta 🇲🇹
I bet you're still grinning from ear to ear... congratulations Oxford! Look forward to welcoming you boys to Hillsborough again next season. Well done Josh Murphy ⚽⚽
best day of my life too 💛💙 what a performance. i still cannot believe we have done it. the fact we got battered against them 2 months ago and now just completely outplayed them is amazing. the fans were class and we have done something i don’t think anyone would have thought this would happen a couple months back. des buckingham, what a man. completely turned it around and forever an oxford legend now 😍 need josh murphy to sign 🤞🏼
Well done to Oxford, watch your show everytime Jack, and glad you're now joining us (Pompey) in the Championship next season. I'm sure we won't be as bad as you might think!!
UPPA THE OXFORD COME ONNNN What a performance by Murphy, i was shocked to see him there I thought he was in the championship and it looks like he certainly is now!
Finally plucked up the courage to watch... mate, well done. Thoroughly and truly deserved. Keep progressing and crushing the content in The Championship (not in the PJT!). All the very best JW
As a Bolton fan, who was there, I am speechless, I really don’t know what to say or think. Stuck with Wigan, I was dreaming of Saints away, now the reality of us playing Crawley and Mansfield instead, it’s heartbreaking.
Bolton fan here (and was at Wembley). Curiously enough, many of us were fearing that ‘no show’. We’d seen it often throughout the season and it was actually a continuation of the second half, second leg, play-off, v.Barnsley. Keep up the good work. We’ll meet again, don’t know where, don’t know when…but it will happen. ‘Til then, best of luck.
Genuinely pleased for you and your fans. Your coverage this season and the way you delivered it with dignity and grace, deserves promotion alone. Honestly chuffed for you. To see the look on my boys face when he told me you were 2-0 up was unbelievable. Soak it up my man!!Pompey fan…
So pleased for you Jack! Not particularly fussed about Oxford, neither especially like or dislike, but you thoroughly outplayed Bolton on the day & got the result you richly deserved. I've always enjoyed your content, and admire the hard work you put into your podcasts. You are always respectful of other teams & fans, and I hope to see your championship content next year, and maybe see you at Hillsborough. All the best to OUFC, but especially to you & your dad and the rest of the family.
From a Bolton fan. Congratulations on winning the play-off finals. Still a tough one to take for me, but you were the better team by far on the day. Hope you do well in the championship!!!
Congratulations buddy. Love the content, glad you are joining us in the Championship pup (the bold eagle is looking down with a massive smile on his face)
What a day for you Oxford boys. Great seeing my fellow Pompey boy Tom sharing the day/joy with you. Living down the road and a Oxford bro in law plus several mates I've a good connection. Bonus I still get to watch your videos next season. Play up Pompey 💙
Congrats jack. As a pompy fan and an listenener of TLOP its a momentous achievement for you and us. Lets go show this championship what we the future of football looks like and earn our spot in staying up next season.
Well done to Oxford and chuffed for you Jack, fancied them to do the job on the day after the performance at Peterborough. Glad your coming over with us Rams to the championship as you would have been the only thing I'd haved missed about league one and the pizza cup obviously 😂 Well done U's 🎉
So happy for you Jack. Another shocking example of Bolton not dealing well with pressure. Oxford well worth the win, the better team all round on the day. 🥳
Looking forward to reuniting yourselves with Argyle next season Jack & 4-0WAOI loved the content in L1 when we won it...next season is gonna be awesome
💚⚽️💚From an Argyle fan. Well done Oxford. Well done Pompey. Couldn’t give a fuck about Derby!!! But beware, from what we witnessed this season, it’s tougher than it’s ever been and we were very fortunate to survive.
Congratulations to Oxford, a well deserved promotion. You join us in the Championship next season! A big bonus is that we will be able to enjoy your videos again next season 😊
Cant wait to be back watching your channel every week! Congratulations from a Sheff Wednesday fan and I too know the feeling of playoff promotion; brilliant! enjoy the Championship mate and hoping for some good games between us two ✊
I'm still in an overall feeling of disbelief that we're gonna be playing Championship football next season. Trips to The Den, Turf Moor, Loftus Road, Kenilworth Road and Ashton Gate just to name a few. I only remember the conference playoff final vaguely, but it blew my 10 year old mind, 14 years later that experience was just bonkers. Every moment is one I'll treasure for the rest of my life, the hour long wait in the massive queue at Oxford Parkway, stepping out from Wembley Train Station and seeing nothing but endless Oxford shirts and flags, the party atmosphere in the fan zone and the Wembley concourse, being part of the display and it turning out how we planned, the feeling of ecstasy at Murphy's first goal, the shock at his second, the nerves as Bolton piled on more pressure in the second half and the pure elation at the full-time whistle. I though we started the better side with every player putting their bodies on the line. Murphy's first shows his determination that while being fouled, he thought stay on ya feet and try get a shot off. I think it would've gone in anyway based on the shape of the strike but Santos' deflection helped it. The second is sublime control from our Portuguese magnifico Rodrigues and the whipped through ball to Murphy was brilliant, Murphy takes it so well and as Tom said first touch takes it round the keeper, while the second places it in the net. After that, we thought this could actually happen. Second half, Bolton started better but were struggling to create much. Murphy could've had 3 or 4 but Baxter did well. Bolton's triple sub in 65th minute was when the nerves truly set in. As they started camping in our half, I was thinking it would be incredibly Oxford to throw this away and I was regretting the we're going up chants from half-time. The closer full-time got the more I was biting my tongue cos I just felt there was another twist in this game. I've never been happier to be wrong. When the ref, who I thought was pretty crap overall all game to be honest, blew his whistle in 100th minute, everyone in our block just started grabbing strangers for a hug and hopping around more than if we were on a bouncy castle. Every Oxford player put in at least a very good performance. Cumming, Long, Moore, Brown and Bennett were superb in dealing with balls into the area and made sure if they were wrong footed against a Bolton man, they quickly recovered. Brannagan, Goodrham and Rodrigues worked their socks off and worked the ball well in tight spaces. Dale and Murphy were brilliant on the wings and were willing runners for any defensive clearance. Though he wasn't able to get his 20th goal of the Season, Harris did well putting in his usual shift on the break and presence in the area. McGuane was good when introduced from the bench and it's a nice turn around given he had his worst performance of the season away against Bolton. McEachran was a very smart sub, an experienced player more than capable on the ball and helped see things out. Leigh didn't have much time to make an impact, but his aerial ability was very helpful when Bolton were launching high crosses in the box to find Cameron Jerome. A lot of the Oxford squad deserve huge credit. Cumming and Bennett arriving in the winter having not had a pre-season and taking time to get up to speed, but when they did they've made big contributions. Stevens has come so far as a defender this season, when he first arrived this was a lad who'd played 5 games last season and came in with weaknesses in the defensive side of his game, he's improved so much and we're gutted to lose him. Dale has been simply sensational since his arrival, his work rate in Des' system has been transformative. Long has had a really up and down season and was getting slated by some in our fanbase, but he really stepped up when it mattered in the playoff semi second leg and the final. I could go one naming every player, but I wanna give special mention to two. Brannagan who could've left us for a Championship side multiple time, but has stuck around and played his backside off every game no matter the situation the club is in. Cam is always there to deliver when it matters, over 6 years service he's now almost certainly an Oxford legend. The other is Murphy, in the summer and even in January, I and many in the fanbase was saying he needed to go. We thought Robinson's experiment had failed, he could never get fit and two managers had been unable to get consistent game time and performances out of him, but who doesn't love a comeback story. He got fit, put in the graft and he and Des worked their magic. Murph has been exceptional and that man of the match performance in the playoff final was just mad. Not just the two goals and the chances to get more, but his work rate and drive. If that's the last chapter in his Oxford story, or if he hopefully signs a new deals, Josh Murphy has written himself in Oxford folklore and will be fondly remembered forever. The final person that deserves this promotion is Des Buckingham, not just for dealing with the incredibly tricky circumstances of a managerial change, a ridiculous number of injuries and a dip in form, but for bringing the entire squad, and to some extent the entire club back together. This isn't an I told you so, I did though say when he was appointed that he was the man to take us up, but never did I think that would be within 8 months of his arrival. I'd prepared myself for another year prepping for and making a good try of automatics in League 1. Des and the backroom staff have worked miracles in a very short amount of time and to do it this way is incredible. This summer is gonna be super tough for all three promoted sides to prepare for life in the second tier, but Plymouth and Wednesday have shown it's possible, the later obviously under very difficult circumstances. Regardless of where we finish next year, I'm just hoping we'll be able to positively enjoy some games at Grenoble Road and a few cracking away days. Other than that, I'm not thinking about next season, I'm gonna enjoy the feeling of what we experienced at Wembley, should keep me going for a month for two. COYY!!🟡🟡
Good to see you both in Tier 2, and would just bet that this Podcast will double in subscription numbers, because it is the best and now a bunch of new people are going to hear some very relevant analysis of the entire Tier 2. I think both Oxford and Portsmouth will stay up next season.
I wonder if that Bolton fan ever found the promotion party he was asking for from Marlon Pack. I believed Oxford would do it even before the final game of the season.
Pompey, Derby and Oxford, the Jim Smith Treble!!!
My thoughts entirely. Weird coincidence but sure he would be proud as hell.
I'd echo this. As a Wednesday fan who loves what you do, I couldn't be more chuffed for you either Jack.
Was a little sad at the prospect of us(Pompey) going up and missing out on Jack next season. No worries though we all get good content next season! See you then!

Watch it and it was more about Oxford imposing themselves on Bolton than Bolton not turning up. Oxford were excellent.
Glad Oxford did it! Bolton thought they had won the final any1 would have thought when they bet my team barnsley! What a big mistake! It was only the semis! Gud look Oxford and all the best for next season 👌, seeing you again Bolton lol

What a performance by Des and the boys. Had a feeling we would do what Wycombe did to us in 2020. Great to follow Pompie into the Championship, COYY!
Jim Smith Was Watching Be great to see you both doing the Championship next season Rams Pompey and Oxford Boom 🐏🐏🐏
Well done Oxford
💚⚽️💚From an Argyle fan. Well done Oxford. Well done Pompey. Couldn’t give a fuck about Derby!!! But beware, from what we witnessed this season, it’s tougher than it’s ever been and we were very fortunate to survive.
I’m so happy for you.
Congratulations to Oxford, a well deserved promotion. You join us in the Championship next season! A big bonus is that we will be able to enjoy your videos again next season 😊
Cant wait to be back watching your channel every week! Congratulations from a Sheff Wednesday fan and I too know the feeling of playoff promotion; brilliant! enjoy the Championship mate and hoping for some good games between us two ✊
Well done Oxford - the best team on the day won. Posh look forward to attacking you again in the 25/26 season, preferably in The Championship.
Nice one Jack! Look forward to your content again next year, PUP 💙
Have faith guys who’s to say either of you couldn’t do an Ipswich ITFCTID. Well done to both of you
I'm still in an overall feeling of disbelief that we're gonna be playing Championship football next season.

As a Bolton fan, well done on the promotion, going to miss the league 1 pods
