You leave it on "Panasonic V-Log (14:32). 2. why would we not use the HDR tools on a REC2020 timeline? 3. assuming we leave the "RAW to LOG Conversion" in the info tag on "Panasonic V-Log" and the "Camera LUT" on "None", could we conform to Rec709 all manually? This whole thing looks like different roads that lead to the same result. But which of these settings are really essential? I will definitely experiment (and lose precious time) but thanks for any insight!

It appears one cannot record Prores Raw "Open Gate" 5952x3968 nor 5376x3584 from a Panasonic S1H to Atomos Ninja V. Does anyone know if Prores raw at the aforementioned resolutions can be recorded to a Atomos Ninja V Plus? [and by "know " I mean, actual experience with, not "it should"] I ask because the Sirui 50mm 1.6 Anamorphic would be a good fit for 3:2 FF particularly in Raw, but I can't find any links about it online. All the links are about the Ninja V, not the Ninja V+.

You leave the LUT rec709? that compresses it and there is not enough latitude with the tools to get it back up to 1000 nits. What am I doing wrong? what doe the second lut have to be rec 709 or rec 2020

@@LonzosStudios I don't get why none of these how-to videos bother to give anyone the complete information. Try this: In camera menu for HDMI, 1. Set info display to off so it will not record the info displayed on your S1h screen, 2. Set down convert to auto. 3. Set HDMI recording control to on. 4. Set Sound output (HDMI) to on.

What's the more accurate file size for 6k prores raw? My ninja v says 47 minutes with 1TB ssd, which is more than the 8k uncompressed canon.
