When I was younger I didn't understand how good the Jackie era was. The ball busting was out of control. In hindsight, you cannot run a work environment with that level of ball busting. It was so great.
I prefer the Artie era but Jackie was great too. But yeah, working there would have been a nightmare. Any slightly embarrassing thing you did would be mocked and broadcast to millions.
Jackie and Artie made the show great, I tried watching modern stern and it’s…. I was born in 93 so I have a lot of catching up. It’s literally all I hear/watch every day. Makes it hard to talk to people my age (especially women…) can’t wait to meet a lady around my age who loves it as much as I do 😂
And it was that insertion of Benjy that really led to Jackie saying f this and drawing that proverbial line in the sand during negotiations that last time; if Benjy wasn’t placed in-studio then Martling never leaves I assure you

I would have to agree that the 90's era was top tier. My favorite year of all for the show is ironically 1992, the same year Parry Caravello blew a casting director for an "extra" role on a film starring Christina Applegate.

And the Jackiepuppet was one of the greatest parts of the show, but this is exactly I'm talking about: Billy West did move on. They did an incredibly passive-aggressive tribute to him, where they brought up Space Jam a bunch of times and Futurama exactly zero, but he's still doing extremely well.

Hey stweekly just wondering if you knew this little fact seems like a lot of stern fans are surprised when I say this… did you know Howard stern is color blind? I was watching who knows Howard best; Ralph vs beth vs Robin vs stern parents , and Ralph reveals it within the first 10 minutes of the episode and even Artie is shocked. Howard ignores it and keeps talking other stuff. That’s when you know it’s true lol. But yeah it’s a fun fact of his that’s online.
