Over many years of watching football I have seen numerous promising careers disappear by players moving for more money, a chance of trophies or just the kudos of being with a big club. Perhaps driven by greedy agents players frequently move to clubs where they will have obvious difficulties in competing with players already there or where it is obvious that they will be no more than squad players. Clubs, some in particular buy a lot of players who have potential and simply discard the majority that don’t make the grade and for younger players their careers never recover. However even for established players, the grass is not always greener. Wijnaldum, Coutinho and Mane, all well paid, all first team regulars at Liverpool left and fell into the abyss. A well paid abyss but mostly from the bench.
I remember Vlahovic at Fiorentina was seen as one of the best strikers in the world, kinda like Oshimen is seen now. Hopefully Oshimen makes a better decision
Kessie is actually playing really well at Barça right now. He is one of the fittesst midfielders in the team. He changed a lot post - world cup, and is scoring and creating a lot of chances.
