Southerner here. Born and raised. Have you ever even been to the South yourself? If you have you'd know that there are various accents in every Southern state. This one itself definitely sounds like one from Alabama. So I'd say she did a pretty good job.
She doesn’t need an Oscar. She needs pampering. Someone to do shit for her and pamper her, do her hair, massage her, do her nails , toes, etc etc
