No se compliquen mucho, usen "no sé" , nosotros los entendemos de la misma manera😂. Buen video ❤

I wanted to offer a bit of clarity I found in the translation. If you are wondering when to use "lo se" just replace with the word "sure" instead of "know". I'm not sure this always works but take the case of "?Hablas Italiano?". Responding with "not sure" is the same as saying "I'm not sure if I know or not" so the correct response would be something like "no, no sé(no, I don't know)". Lo is obviously key here, and the use of lo here helps teach it's other uses. "Lo" sort of means "about, in reference to, the essence of, what IT is" Prepositions from english to spanish seem to be pretty difficult at times! I put some more thoughts on "lo" below.
The use of the word "lo" and in particular the use of "lo"(it) with "todo"(all) can be another great illustration. For instance (as illustrated in an episode of coffee break spanish!) lets say you're eating with a friend and want to tell them that you think everything about the dinner is great, not just the food, but everything about the meal itself. You may think to say "esta la cena es todo bien!" However, this literally translates to "this dinner is all good", which might convey you're talking about all the food that was served. Though your meaning would be conveyed it could sound a bit awkward.
If you want to compliment everything about the dinner, like the ambience, the service, the food, etc, then what you mean to say is "todo lo", which means to say "Everything about the meal is good" or "the meal itself is good"(probably closer to the literal translation) etc.

For the first two examples is it incorrect to just say, no se'? for I don't know? Or, are we giving emphasis that the answer is No, I don't know. In learning Italian- they just said non so, or non lo so. Thanks for getting into the real details... for us to understand speaking properly.

Hi Lucinda! Yes, it's all about giving emphasis that the answer to the initial question is "no". If you think about it in English, it would be clearer and would make more sense to say "No, I don't know how to swim" rather than saying "I don't know how to swim" when asked "Do you know how to swim?". Hope this helps!

¡Hola, buena pregunta! When the answer to a question is no sé/no lo sé sometimes we answer with two no's separated with a comma - ¿Sabes cocinar tortilla? No, no sé. It's as if you said in English - do you know how to make tortilla? No, I don't. However, remember, that first no is optional in Spanish, you could also say - ¿Sabes cocinar torilla? No sé. We hope this helps make it more clear. Let us know if you need more explanation!

So why would you ever use no lo se?

¡Hola! As we explain in the video, "no lo sé" is used when you want to be a bit more specific, and you're referring to something that has already been mentioned in the conversation before. Hope this helps!
