  • The plays and concepts discussed in this video are not unique to Mike McDaniel and the 2023 Miami Dolphins - but they are critical to any offense in the NFL (and other levels).

You are good at this. Plenty of room on YT for men like you that calmly explain what is going on out there in this league. Keep your show just like this, don't fall for that crap of needing a musical intro every time to crate a banding because people skip over that anyway and makes it harder to watch. It's your knowledge of plays and the working of those plays that fans need and want to gain more knowledge of for themselves. When the day comes in a year or more, when your subs and views are huge, then you can add a way to pay the bills with a sponsor, but be picky about that, you can make it purely no your nonsense approach to educating fans, with a touch of humor now and then to wake them up, but stay who you are. We have all seen what's out there and most try too hard to be entertainment when the fans have lot's of that already but not nearly enough understanding of the game and the more they understand, the better watching the games can be. Since the 70's I've watched rooms full of people watch games together with maybe one, me, that has a clue as to anything going on besides the score, who has the ball, how much time is left. They yell and scream at players but can't tell you why anything is happening. The world needs you my friend. Never stop.

Love the feedback!! And appreciate the kind words! That's the plan - I'm not looking for this to evolve into a big song & dance production or a shock jock type thing. There's enough of that out there and very little of it is unique- it's just regurgitating material that they've heard from other media members. If I can eventually make some extra money with this - great. But that's not why I'm doing it.
I started doing things like this because I enjoy talking football, specifically offensive line. Over 20+ years of coaching, it has become clear that there's a knowledge gap between fans and what's happening in the game. And for most - that's fine! Enjoy the game the way you want to enjoy it.
But, I figured that stuff like this creates an opportunity to interact with more people and talk more football while both sharing knowledge that I have and also picking up some new stuff along the way.

I'm glad I didn't write this channel off the other day over a title name😅. You're actually providing very useful content that nobody else really is. Miamis blocking SCHEMES are so critical to how the offense functions but most people only talk about the names and what players we have vs. What we need and rarely the scheme or how players fit in into it to make the offense better

So, if your going to have a center identify the blocking, and no input from the QB, then not only does the Qb have to understand what the routes are, he also has to anticipate free rushers. No wonder we had so many free rushers. I would think Mike would start to have Tua help the center by cadence trickery to help identify more red dogs. Maybe that can happen.

I'm not really sure where you got that from the video. The center 'could' be declaring the protection, but that would be communicated with the QB.
My point early in the video is that if you watch the C on passing plays, you can usually get a decent understanding of what protection they are in (regardless of who makes the call).
      Appreciate you watching!

That shovel pass play is easily my favorite play from last season from any teams games I watched. That thing was so smooth and effective, even though it really wasn’t done perfectly. It still had the perfect result. And it just looks so good when you watch it full speed. That guy is fully sold on Tyreek getting the end around and then Tua just nonchalant with a right handed no look shovel pass to Achane basically playing peek a boo behind those linemen. It’s just 🤌🏽🤌🏽money

💯. That's an awesome play. That's the type of creativity that is allowed as you get further and further into a scheme with the same coaches and similar players. Looking forward to more of that type of stuff in '24!
